...I have been using a previous Oregon Scientific projection clock for the past couple of years, and I have been very pleased with it. I decided to get this model because one of the main points is that the projection is strong enough to be seen in daylight. Even on a really bright day, it is still possible to see the time on the ceiling or wall, unlike previous models. As with previous models, it has the radio controlled time feature, meaning that it is always up to date, and requires no manual changes. Although it is possible to turn the radio signal receiver off, and do it manually. This may have to be done if you are using it in an area of weak or no signal. ...My Experience? I've had the Oregon Scientific digital camera for around 2 years now, and overall I have been disappointed. However I have a little relief in the fact that I paid very little for it through a TV bidding channel, Bid-up TV, I recall that it was about £100 along with an array of free image editing and gallery software. Ever since I received the camera it has gone down hill consistently. I know others have had good experiences with this camera, so it would appear to be on an individual basis, but do take heed. Also as other owners have reported the camera will often freeze on random occasions. To resolve, remove the batteries and replace them, this usually makes the camera work again. ...I am a proud owner of two Oregon products, and both of which I am pleased to own. Purchase number one was a projection clock! Now despite it’s rather ‘different’ title, the projection clock is a must have. How many times have you woken in the middle off the night, wanting to check the time? Holding the clock in all different angles trying to catch a little light to reflect on the face of the clock so you can view the time? I always wake up every night, and always want to know what time it is. Mainly to see whether it’s worth going back to sleep! Imagine my delight when I found this product. Now all I do have to do is press a button and the time is displayed in either AM/PM mode on the ceiling in good clear type. The clock retails at around £25 or so, and is an excellent buy! Alarmingly Good!

A fantastic camera for the price

Advantages: Price, 1.3 Mpix is enough for most people, excellent battery life, ease of use, flash, expandability, size, quality of images
Disadvantages: Quality deteriorates quickly in low light, occasionally you miss not having a playback LCD, long exposure times typical of cheaper cameras

...Oregon Scientific are known by most people for their range of electronic weather stations (as featured in the Innovations catalogue, among other places) and their projection and radio-controlled alarm clocks. However, something else at which they excel is the successful repackaging of electronic components manufactured by other companies. In this case, they're competing with Fuji (model @xia-100) in selling this little sexy box of bits to the public, and to be honest, they've done it very well. ...I had one of these cameras for about two years and it accompanied me on all sorts of holidays and nights out, from the bars of birmingham to the beaches of Sydney!! Thats what i loved about this camera, its small credit card like size enabling it to slip into a pocket without creating unsightly bulges!! I got some good shots with this camera, which are easily transferred to computer to be manipulated or printed as many times as is desired. A 2 x digital zoom is included, which is an ok feature but doesnt make that drastic a difference. The camera is very easy to get around partly from the fact there arent that many buttons and the menus arent to in depth. The video option can be useful but no sound is included. The camera comes with 8mb internal memory which to be honest doesnt cater for many shots but SD slot is included...
