...I was having a really bad hair day a couple of weeks ago, though it was my own fault as the night before I hadn't washed my hair out of laziness! I have the type of hair which does need washing on a daily basis or else it looks greasy, dull and lifeless the day after. My hair was that bad due to it not being washed that it made me feel really awful and self conscious. A work colleague recommended that I try Batiste Dry Shampoo for such occassions. I took her advice and purchased a bottle from Tescos on my next shopping trip. I paid £1.99 for a 150ml cannister, which I thought was quite good value for money. The cannister itself is a bright yellow colour with a jade green plastic lid. The cannister is re-cycleable and is found amongst the normal shampoos on the shelves. Organics Mousse shampoo and conditioner

Advantages: Smells nice, easy to use/apply
Disadvantages: Price

...As some of you know I have been dying my hair at home for years and because I like the more eccentric colours (Black/blue, purple etc) I wanted to find a shampoo that helped the colour to stay in. Even though I use a permanent colour it never really lasts long and even that seems to wash out! Dove - The Shampoo of Champions!

Advantages: great value for money, smells lovely, makes hair really shiny and easy to manage
Disadvantages: bottle could be bigger.

...Dove shampoo is a great shampoo for every day use. It leaves your hair looking and feeling really healthy and moisturised but not greasy. Application You use Dove shampoo in the same way that you would use any other shampoo, though I find this shampoo a bit more lathery than others and maybe a bit harder to rinse out, nothing worth putting you off using it though. The Smell Dove shampoo smells a bit like their soap products, but it smells that way in a shampoo kind of way, if that makes sense lol. Polytar Liquid Shampoo

Advantages: Works great on dandruff!
Disadvantages: It stinks!

...WHAT IS POLYTAR? Polytar is a shampoo for the following: itchy flaking scalps, eczema, seborrhoea, psoriasis and dandruff. I have suffered on and off for the past few years with mild dandruff which has always annoyed me as I have dark hair and it can be noticeable if left untreated. The fact that my scalp is dry makes it itchy which leads to even more flaking when I itch it. My review is going to be on how well the shampoo worked with dandruff and not the following scalp conditions as mentioned above. Polytar is a watery liquid which isn?t very much like normal shampoo which turns into a lather in the hair. It is brown/golden in colour and has a very strong smell, which doesn?t in my opinion smell nice! The shampoo is used as a substitute for any current shampoos that you may be using, so you are not meant to mix them both together...

Advantages: Great for those who dont have time to wash greasy hair!
Disadvantages: Leaves hair feeling a little rough to the touch.

...I love this stuff!!!! It is literally a godsend!!!!! I first came across it when I was in school, I found I didn't have time to have a shower everymornign before school and wash my hair as it took half an hour to drydue to its thickness, and I just didnt have time, so when I found this, it meant I could just have a body shower before shcool and throw this on my hair if it needed it. (My hair gets very greasy very quickly so washing it the night before, the next morning it wouldn't look fresh!!!). ...I've been looking for a dry shampoo like this for a while but thought they were all out of my price range, as I didn't want to spend a fortune on something that wasn't any good. That was until I saw a review on here, stating how good it was and also the price - £1.99. For this price, I thought you couldn't go wrong really, because if it ended up being rubbish, it hasn't exactly made me skint, so I thought... why not? I read some more reviews on it, and the majority of them had got 4 to 5 stars. So the next day I went in to boots, and searched the store for it. Once I had found it, it was priced at £2.09, so me, being the cheap skate that I am, went across to Superdrug and found it in there for £1.99. It's in a srapy can in a similar size to hairspray with a pull-off lid and comes in a 150ml size can, but I don't think you can buy...

Best budget dry shampoo

Advantages: Good price
Disadvantages: As with any - spray too close and you get white hair

...I used this from a recommendation and have the normal one and the tropical scented one. I would recommend the normal one more so as the other one although it smells lovely smells quite strong and every time you move your head/hair you get a strong smell of coconuts - this might be ok for you but might clash with perfume! As with most dry shampoos if you use it too close to your head then you will end up with white roots but if you follow the instructions then you should be ok! I have used other more expensive ones and do not find much of a difference between those and this one. It came to me quite highly recommnded for the price and I would say exactly the same - if you want a budget one this does the trick and you may even find it works better than some more expensive ones....

...Tesco tea tree shampoo With a busy household, we have a lot of hair washing to be done, and whilst Little Miss and I have our special shampoos, for the boys we tend to buy in bulk. This shampoo is suitable for everyday use and has apparently been specially formulated with natural extracts to leave hair soft and manageable. I also read somewhere that tea tree can keep head lice at bay so for anyone at risk this could be a winner! The shampoo comes in a big 750ml plastic bottle with a lid that flips up to open and then back down to close. The shampoo itself is dispensed from a small hole at the top and although it does look very green in the bottle, but when it's out of the bottle, it's not so much green as clear with a greenish tinge. It does have a strong tea tree smell whcih I like because I think it's a nice fresh smell, but...
