Optical amazing!
Advantages: Amazing customer service
Disadvantages: The equipment isn't as hi tech as other places
...So after having an eye test at D&A and being scared off by the prices, I booked myself into Optical Express which is where Andrew gets his contacts from. The price of the eyetest was half the price of D&A (£15) to start with and if you purchased glasses afterwards then it would automatically be free.
The eye test didn?t seem as hi-tech or extensive as D&A and nor did the equipment seem as up-to-date but the optician was friendly, made conversation and was just a genuinely nice guy and whats more important, the test results came back the same as they did at D&A; I need glasses and I have a stigmatism.
The staff here are absolutely amazing and I can?t praise them highly enough. They were not only friendly and personal but they also couldn?t do enough to please me. There were four ladies in the shop and they were all helping me choose...

Awesome Orion 32" LCD
Advantages: Sharpness, Quality Picture
Disadvantages: None
...Product: 32? LCD television
Make: Orion
Features: HD Ready
Price: Varied
Introducing of Orion
I?ve had the Orion 32? LCD Television for quite some years now, and I must admit, it is some monster of a T.V. I love sitting in my comfy chair, a beer in one hand and watching Manchester United play on the big screen. In my house it feels like being in a pub, I?ve got the bar and the 32? LCD, so I can get a drink whenever I feel, and I have a free front row seat in front of the big screen. In some ways, my house is better then the local boozer, even though I love going to the pub, because you can meet up with friends, be sociable, and the atmosphere is good. There?s just sometimes, where I have decided to stay in and watch the football, I find it better to invite your mates around and sit in front of your own big 32? T...

Almost star quality from Orion
Advantages: Reasonably priced from a reputable manufacturer
Disadvantages: LCD picture quality can be poor when viewing from certain angles
...we don't watch a huge amount of television in the bedroom, I didn't lean towards any particular manufacturer as I might have done if I were buying a new main television set for the living room. I was also just looking for a portable TV in the region of a 19 or 20 inch screen. Having checked the local retailers, and compared prices online, the best I could find for our circumstances was a digital LCD made by Orion. To give it it's full name: an Orion TV 19PL110D.
If you've ever bought an LCD or plasma television from Toshiba or Sharp, the chances are it was manufactured by Orion as it happens to be one of the world's largest OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) of televisions
We chose this model because out of all the televisions in this size, this particular model had the best overall technical specifications. For instance...

Optical Express
Advantages: knowledgeable and friendly staff, professional service, well presented store, good debit scheme
Disadvantages: second set up cost when changing bank account for debit scheme
...Optical Express services, staff and admin.
I have worn glasses and contacts for the past 18 years and I have been with many independent and high street stores. I recently moved to Stockport and decided to give Optical Express a try.
The first impressions of the store were good. It is very clean and well lit with a good selection of glasses, cleaners and eye care products. The other eye care options such as laser surgery and regular check up reminders are clearly visible around the store.
The staff are extremely friendly, knowledgeable, polite and friendly. The advice offered and help given when choosing my new contact lenses - when I switched from daily torics to monthly (one soft, one toric) - was spot on and my eyes are comfier and vision improved.
The direct debit scheme is very helpful - I paid a £45 initial cost...

Optical Optics...
Advantages: Functional and stylish
Disadvantages: Needed cleaning after a few weeks
...It?s well known that Apple provides a high quality optical mouse with every desktop Mac they sell. Whether it is for home use or office use, this mouse will fill most users? needs. The Kensington optical elite mouse is a good alternative to Apple?s home grown optical mouse.
Design
Most Mac users have now become sticklers for good looking hardware; this is thanks to Apple?s innovative designs. The first thing that anyone will notice about the optical mouse is its appearance; the sleek design of this unique mouse makes it look at home no matter what your computer is. The device is a blend of grey and blue, with a few translucent components add a bit of playfulness to the strikingly serious look.
Functionality
Normally with a computer peripheral that looks the part will not function very well. But unusually the optical elite does...

Optical optics the forth...
Advantages: Very easy to use
Disadvantages: Very Basic
...This is now my forth optical mouse review, this one is for the MS Basic optical mouse. This was probably the first optical mouse that I owned, as the name of the mouse suggests it is a pretty basic mouse. There are just two buttons and they aren?t programmable.
The precision of the mouse
This is a pretty basic mouse, so therefore the precision isn?t very top notch, although it is still suitable for most computer users needs, at the time when I had this mouse I had an older screen than my LG Flatron, and it had a resolution of 1280 x 1024, which is an average size screen. I can?t remember the make of the screen, I think it was ADC but I am not sure. Anyway on that resolution the mouse worked okay, however it did jump quite often, meaning that when you moved the mouse you couldn?t see it flowing from one side of the screen to...

Laser Surgery with Optical Express
Advantages: Very professional and friendly
Disadvantages: Can try and pressure you into extras
...I used Optical Express for laser eye surgery after my brother had his eyes done.
He had the Lasek procedure carried out, which left him with dry eyes for a couple of months but almost perfect vision.
After a couple of months of dithering, and after a trip to Rome getting infuriated with seeing fantastic sites through misty lenses, I decided to go ahead with the procedure.
I went to the consultation in the bright an clean Leeds clinic. I was very impressed with the friendly and personal and comprehensive service I received.
They carried out a number of tests on my eyes and then the consultant sat me down and went through the results with me. I was shown a couple of charts giving light and imperfection maps of my eye.
One thing I will say is that they tried a very hard sell when it came to WaveFront, which is apparantly a procedure...

Bouchard Optical Wipes
Advantages: Work really well
Disadvantages: None
...Bouchard Optical Wipes are a real boon. They come in a small cardboard box> The box in itself is interesting as you can either open it at the top or lower down, you can break a dotted line, instead, and open it that way.
Inside you will find 16 individual wipes safely sealed in little pockets. You can keep these in a wallet, a bag, a purse, a pocket or a case until you need to use them.
I was always having trouble with my lenses. I thought that, somehow, I had scratched them or damaged them in some other way, as there was always a strange, "dulling" mark on he centre of the spectacle lenses that, try how I might, I could never seem to be able to clean off.
One day, whilst browsing through Home Bargains (please see my review on Home Bargains) when I saw Bouchard Optical Lens Wipes. 16 Individually Wrapped Wipes for the grand...

OPTICAL EXPRESS- LASER EYE LIES!
Advantages: n/a
Disadvantages: waste of money, lack of help
...I am so glad to have found this story. I totally understand what you are going through. I had laser eye surgery in July 2006 with OPTICAL EXPRESS. I paid 2000GBP to have it done and they totally convince you it will be successful. Not long after having it done i started noticing loss of sight from my left eye. Like you I was told i could not see the surgeon on a Saturday, when i called again they told me that yes it was still possible to see the surgeon on a saturday!! The consultants kept on telling me i had perfect vision but i kept on telling them that i could not see clearly, however they told me 'it was normal'. I demanded to see the surgeon before the year was completed because after a year from the day of your surgery you have to pay to do that and you would have to pay again if you need to have the surgery re-done. I spoke to...

Ford orion
Advantages: none
Disadvantages: none
...When I was younger I always wanted to own a Ford Orion ( I know I was young and wisdom comes with age). When I passed my driving test I knew what would be my first car, with £3000 to spend off I went, and came back with a D reg Ford Orion 1.6i turbo, I loved it . Over the next year or so I added a body kit, alloy wheels and various other extras, this car was the dogs bollocks and I would cruise around town getting looks from everybody. Now I am a lot older I look back at that car with some embarassment but also regret that I ever sold it. I have had many cars since then but none hold my affection like my Ford Orion ( your first car always will)....
