Awesome Orion 32" LCD
Advantages: Sharpness, Quality Picture
Disadvantages: None
...Product: 32” LCD television
Make: Orion
Features: HD Ready
Price: Varied
Introducing of Orion
I’ve had the Orion 32” LCD Television for quite some years now, and I must admit, it is some monster of a T.V. I love sitting in my comfy chair, a beer in one hand and watching Manchester United play on the big screen. In my house it feels like being in a pub, I’ve got the bar and the 32” LCD, so I can get a drink whenever I feel, and I have a free front row seat in front of the big screen. In some ways, my house is better then the local boozer, even though I love going to the pub, because you can meet up with friends, be sociable, and the atmosphere is good. There’s just sometimes, where I have decided to stay in and watch the football, I find it better to invite your mates around and sit in front of your own big 32” T...

Almost star quality from Orion
Advantages: Reasonably priced from a reputable manufacturer
Disadvantages: LCD picture quality can be poor when viewing from certain angles
...we don't watch a huge amount of television in the bedroom, I didn't lean towards any particular manufacturer as I might have done if I were buying a new main television set for the living room. I was also just looking for a portable TV in the region of a 19 or 20 inch screen. Having checked the local retailers, and compared prices online, the best I could find for our circumstances was a digital LCD made by Orion. To give it it's full name: an Orion TV 19PL110D.
If you've ever bought an LCD or plasma television from Toshiba or Sharp, the chances are it was manufactured by Orion as it happens to be one of the world's largest OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) of televisions
We chose this model because out of all the televisions in this size, this particular model had the best overall technical specifications. For instance...

Orion TV37RN10D
Advantages: Price and features
Disadvantages: remote control
...I brought this set about 2 months ago and cannot fault it, i have it wall mounted in my games room, linked up to the ps3 and xbox 360 the picture is fantastic for an entry price point TV.
This is my second Orion set and i cant fault them.
I have always usually stuck with high branded products but as it was not my main tv i went for something slightly cheaper. I have to say my friend has a sony set and even he thinks the picture on the Orion is better.

Mapex Orion Classic Drumkit
Advantages: Superb Quality & Build
Disadvantages: Quite expensive and not for beginners!
...Orion Classic was sat right at the back gleaming under the spotlights.
The kit included:
22 x 18 Bass Drum (with retractable spurs)
16 x 13 Rack Tom
14 x 11 Rack Tom
12 x 9 Rack Tom
10 x 8 Rack Tom
14 x 5.5 Black Panther Snare
All made from all Maple shells with outer Birdseye veneer (Antique Ivory)
I managed to get the set for £1,400 as at the time they were retailing at £2,000 so it was well worth the purchase!
The kit jumped right out and just looked the business. It has a lot of quality extras compared to the average kit. Mapex have put a lot of thought into the designing of this kit, for example the lugs on the bass drum are all protected by outer metal protection so that they will not get damaged/bent if the kit was to get bumped when taking in and out of a car. The mounts both for the cymbals and the toms come...

Ford Orion 1.3 1989/1990
Advantages: Larger than Escort, Cheap to run and maintain
Disadvantages: underpowered, usual old age rust problems.
...and space. Roof racks could be fitted and infact I managed to fit, myself, partner, 2 kids and a 5 man canvass tent with all accessories for 2 weeks camping trip.
The car has no special gadgets with mainly all mechanical parts, this made things easier for me fault diagnosis was easier.
The interior was standard as for an escort/orion, grey/brown materials with grey carpet, standard foam seats, no air bags, no power steering. Just plain and simple mechanics.
All in all, I liked this car even with the problems I had. If you are looking for a cheap family car with a secure boot space then this would be for you. Be prepared to put up with basic upholstery and features....

The Celestial Beauty that is my Telly
Advantages: Many
Disadvantages: None
...***~~***~~ Orion TV-32082 C ~~***~~***
When I bought my house in the ghetto, the first thing I needed, and I stress Needed, was a decent tv. Having moved out from a bedroom in mother's home to a decent sized living room I realised that my 15" was not going to cut it unless I got some seriously good binoculars. Hence a trip to curry's was in order. Armed with a list the size of a cow of necessary purchases such as washing machine, fridge, cooker, kettle, etc the first essential item had to be the TV so we headed to that section.
The aforementioned Orion TV caught my eye because it looked cool - maybe it was the fact that the beautiful Timberlake was strutting his stuff on it (weird I remember that) or that it's sleek black frame looked good as it wasn't covered in a layer of dust and dog hair or just maybe it was the lovely price...

Future proofing LCD Style
Advantages: HD Ready
Disadvantages: It's huge!!
...It was my boyfriend's birthday this weekend and as a treat I let him buy a 32" LCD HD ready TV. I know what you're thinking "let him!" but he's been bugging me about it for months and i'd run out of excuses. We looked around all of the online stores with a maximum spending budget of £450. When we looked at Comet they had a Goodmans for that price. We needed very clear specifications which I'll go into later but the Goodmans seemed to fit. When we went to the store the Goodmans looked cheep and plasticy, as well as that the speakers came out quite far at the side and made the TV look stretched.
In a bit of a mood as Comet had no other suitable units in our price range we went to Currys. I wasn't expecting to be impressed then I saw the Orion. It was the same price as the Goodmans £449.99 but looked so much better...

Very limited set
Advantages: Cost
Disadvantages: Poor quality
...have just recently purchased the Orion 32082 for £399 and was immediately not that impressed by the quality of the picture. I have tried to adjust the settings to achieve some sort of decent reception but it really is hit and miss. The picture on the tv can be perfect at times yet on some channels it is dreadful. If you watch Football/Sport this is not the tv for you, the set has problems with terrible motion blur which is especially highlighted during fast moving sports, for Euro 2008 I have to watch on my bedroom portable (it is that bad).
Additionally, there are times when the outline of the picture is so blurred it is impossible to identify what is on display. My older set had fantastic picture reception and I was expecting even better with the new set but boy was i wrong. I even installed Sky + because the picture quality was so...

Lets Ride
Advantages: Support, Comfort, Looks
Disadvantages: None that I can think of
...As a skiier who has caught the snowboarding bug, I knew that if I bought anything before i went away to Italy it would be boots, as my experiences of hire shops have been less than successful (I have size 13 feet).
After reading various articles in magazines I went shopping with an open mind and tried a variety of boots from different makes, as fit, not the name, was my number 1 goal.
The Orion boots at first had a tight fit, but i was told that they would pad out after riding (they did). The support whilst riding was exellent, they had a firm flex and there was hardly any heel lift, due to a good lace up liner which anchored into the boot very well. The boot was very comfy, once again down to the boots great liner and outer construction. The outer boot was very warm and waterproof, even in deep powder. On a final note, the boots...
