Advantages: Slap bang in the middle of International Drive, very family friendly, great pool
Disadvantages: Ground floor rooms around the pool are slightly smaller and older looking

...As a family of two adults and two teenagers, we have stayed twice now in this hotel, on two consecutive years. This year being our third on the trot holidaying in Orlando. We booked this hotel on our second trip and were so pleased with it we intend to go back again and again (if possible)! The first time we stayed in the tower which has fourteen floors and is adequately serviced by lifts. The room was very large, with two large beds, bathroom with shower over bath, microwave, safe, coffee maker, satellite tv, hairdryer, iron and board etc. The standard of cleanliness was excellent. The only drawback was that, with American Hotels being different to ours, our first impression was that it looked a bit like a tower block of flats, but you soon adapt and get used to it. The maids appeared to take pride in their jobs and the rooms...

A great base for an family Orlando holiday

Advantages: Good size rooms with seperate kids area
Disadvantages: Kitchenette only has fridge microwave and coffee maker with disposable cups

...We've just returned from 2 weeks in Orlando staying at this hotel. On arrival we received a warm welcome and there was a seperate check in for the kids though ours were too tired to appreciate it after the journey. The accomodation is a double room with a partioned off corner holding bunk beds, 2 desks and a TV and games machine for the kids. The main part of the room also has a TV. Off this is a kitchenette with microwave, coffe maker and a full sized fridge with icebox, the maid left disposable cups each day, not crockery or cutlery are provided. Off this is a large well lit bathroom. The Kidsuites all have themes, ours was the Atlanta Olympics and the partitions were decorated with large photos of this (our kids are 7 and 10), others I saw had a more cartoon style decoration. The rooms are accessed off ourdoor balcony...

Awesome Orlando

Advantages: So much to see and do, lots of things are cheap.
Disadvantages: Not enough time to do it all, some big costs.

...with their knowledge and desire to help. We had few problems there but what little queries we did have were promptly and efficiently dealt with. The arrival area was a little busy as you can expect, but the baggage handlers were working overtime and we waited 10 minutes before all our bags were through. From here it was a short walk to the holiday centre where our minibus was waiting. There was also the aforementioned very well placed soda store, where I promptly bought 8 very cold bottles of water, they were gone in 5 minutes. On To Orlando. So a satisfactory start at the airport out of the way, it was time to head to our accommodation. It is a fair drive to the centre of Orlando (International Drive) from the airport and it’s worth considering this when booking, a taxi would be reasonably dear and a bus doesn’t run that far...

  Orlando on the Cheap

...'s of their own. Every year we attempt to find a cheaper deal elsewhere and every year we end up traveling with them again. Give them a look. This year, the flights (with car rental) cost us just over four hundred dabs a piece. So the two-week holiday, for transport, accomodation and rental car cost just under 500 quid per head. I've paid more than that for room-only in Tenerife! Not bad huh? The rental car which came with the deal was a Chrysler Voyager and it was more than big enough to cart us all around in grand old style. One word of warning, sort out your car insurance before you go if you can. Fly/Drive holidays are usually quoted net of any insurance charges and these can be quite expensive in the U.S.A. In fact, if you take all of the insurances from the car rental company it will probably cost as much as the car rental itself...

Make sure you check the code

Advantages: Lovely Villa
Disadvantages: Being locked out at 3am

.... At home we have a pathetic little shower that is barely more than a trickle, these showers were superb power showers that were lovely to use. Having the washer and dryer was handy too, even in the heat of the day towels and swimsuits took a vast amount of time to dry properly, so it was easier to pop them in the dryer for half an hour and have lovely fluffy towels for the next dip in the pool. I never really used the cooker so can?t really comment about that. The fridge was a large American sized fridge freezer, which held plenty of pop and still had loads of room for beer, so you couldn?t ask much more there! The villa is quite a way from the parks, if you?re visiting Disney then the drive isn?t too bad, but we had the Orlando Flexticket for Universal/Seaworld/Wet and Wild/Aquatica and Busch Gardens. So the 20-30 minute drive scuppered...

Advantages: Nice sweet film, romantic comedy

I-Ride Orlando

Advantages: to many to list here
Disadvantages: you may have to walk a few yards to a bus pick up point

...One of the best deals in Orlando for non drivers, just has to be the I-Ride Tram-Bus ( looks like a tram but is actually a bus ) For under 10 USD you can take unlimited rides all week (7 days) along the whole tourist length of International Drive in Orlando, thats from the Bletz Factory outlet ( Shoppign Mall) at the top of Internationnal Drive to Seaworld at the opposite end ( about 7 miles) These bus/trams run every 15 mins from 0700 to 2300 7 days a week in both directions and are excellent value for money. the drivers generally are very friendly some are even entertaining. the service is superb,I wish they would extend this tram service to the Theme parks brilliant idea but not very practical ( sadly !) Nowadays you most definitely don't need to hire a car if you are staying anywhere along International Drive, the Holiday...

Dream holiday

...Florida has got to be everyone’s dream holiday. Doesn’t matter what you are looking for , Florida has it. I have been to Orlando three times and I still want to go back again. Every time I go back there’s something different there and new things to look at, it’s never the same. Obviously the biggest attraction in Orlando is Disneyworld but this isn’t the only one! You have to visit Disneyworld but other theme parks include Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Sea World, Kennedy Space Centre. And then there are all of the waterparks as well so there’s plenty to do. Orlando is not only about theme parks though, there is the SHOPPING, which is my favourite pass time. I would suggest that you take hardly any luggage with you at all. You will buy so much in Florida because everything is...

...I was a bit apprehensive about visiting Sea World. So many people had said to me about how cruel it is to keep animals in captivity. Having visited Sea World in Orlando, my mind has been changed. I am convinced that these animals are happy to be there, although I did feel that some of the enclosures were a little small. Sea World rescue animals, and are keen to inform the general public on caring for animals, and our ecosystem. So, here is my opinion on the park. We visited Sea World just after New Year, so we had the benefit of visiting at the quietest time of the year. Where is it? Sea World is easy to find. It is located near downtown Orlando at the intersection of Interstate 4 (I4) and the Bee Line Expressway. The park opens at 9am, and closing hours depend on the time of year.
