MY EXPERIENCE USING "ORTOFON" SCRATCH STYLUSES

Advantages: Holds the record/Loud output/Long life/Easy to put onto cartridge
Disadvantages: None that I can think of

Concord Trimax - Colourful, spacious and good value

Advantages: Lots of colours to coordinate with your car and good value
Disadvantages: Although easy to adjust, it took a couple of attempts to get the hang of it

Review of Concord Trimax

Ortofon Styluses

Advantages: lighweight, slimline, durable, reasonable cheap, very good quality.
Disadvantages: lightweight, slimline, some Djs do prefer bigger and heavier cartridges and styluses.

...As a Hip Hop Dj for over 10 years I have always used Ortofon, personally I think they make the best cartridges and styluses, because they are slimline, it makes it easier to find particular grooves on records, especially when trying to find a groove quickly not just cueing. Other cartridges are a lot more bulkier, which can make it hard to see exactly where you are putting the stylus. I am definitley buying the Q-Bert Stylus though, The last set of Ortofon styluses I bought was in 2005. A pair for teaching at youth clubs (so they are robust!!!) and a pair for home and club use. They can last a long time. On the reaI though. I do have only one stylus left though. Due to me being RECKLESS....

Concorde2, there will be something for you...

Advantages: Great choice in music...
Disadvantages: ...a little bit out of the way...but it keeps away the p..s heads(another advantage)

If walking from the pier you need to walk dowm Madeira Drive past Jim Thompson's and Burgerking, with them on your left, and the sea to your right. Keep walking for 10/20 minutes, way past Volks, until you see the Concorde2 on the opposite side of the road. Wait until now to cross the road, as the path is better lit on the right. And it is a pleasant walk as it is along the edge of the beach. The front of the club has central double doors, with blacked out windows either side. I will not choose Concorde Lafayette anymore

Advantages: Excellent location

Instead we were been given business card and a promise that something will be done for us on our next visit. Less than a month later I had to return to Paris on another business trip, I contacted the hotel to find out that the business card, our previous booking and the incident were all forgotten. Of course I went for another hotel and had more peaceful nights. I need to say add that the hotel room at Concorde Lafayette costs 450 euro at that time but we only paid 180 euro as per a business agreement between my company and the hotel. From the office where I work, we could see it going up, and we could always set our watches by it at 10.50am. We all used to stop to see it go up, it was such a brilliant sight.
