...This book was bought by my Father from a mail order book company because the story looked interesting. My father never read the book but I did and what a book! This book is set during the American Civil and tells us a story of what might of happened. I don't want to give too much away as it'll spoil several aspects of the book. Needless to say the war goes a little differently than our history shows and the cover of the book shows Robert E. Lee holding an AK-47, I'll leave you to wonder how he got it! The book tells the story through the eyes of several characters, some famous ones such as Robert E. Lee and Abraham Lincoln and other characters such as Nate Caudell a ficticious character who fights for the Confederate States of America. ...One of the greatest books I have ever read, Starwars, of course, and introduces three more excellent characters. The best of these three is of course Grand Admrial Thrawn. Grand Admrial Thrawn is a great character with a great stratigic mind, one of the best characters ever created in the Star Wars universe, and features in many Star Wars games on the PC. The book really is a joy to read, and makes reading the next book in the trilogy compulsary. It is pretty expensive at £5.99, but its a think book, and is worth every single penny. Be sure to read it and make sure you read every other book in the trilogy as well.... Read review

...Dune's director took special pains to make sure the movie was like the book. The problem is that the book is huge and vastly detailed. I saw Dune for the first time with a group of people. I had previously read the book, as had one of my friends, but the other three people had not read Dune. The result was that the two of us that did read Dune loved the movie and the other three had to keep asking what was going on and pretty much found the movie tedious. So if you're going to see Dune, read the book first.... Read review

...One Raniy Night is an average Richard Laymon horror book. The story is about “black rain” that falls on a town and makes everyone it touches evil. The book is well written but it lacks whatever it is in other Richard Laymon books which makes them so exceptional. The full potential of the storyline was not reached but overall it was still a very entertaining book. I would recommend it to any Laymon fans but if you are looking to read Richard Laymon books for the first time you would be better to go for one of his others (preferably a more recent one) such as Island, Body Rides or Quake before reading this one.... ...Harry Potter is the longest harry potter book yet but it is deffintly the best. If youve read all the other books you will love this one. At the begginning harry had a dream about voldermort and then it all follows on from that. In this book you will find the Quidditch world cup, the triwizard tornement and the usual spells, curses, murders and very weiord happenings. This harry pottter is the best book ive ever read and I would reccomend it ot any one who has read the other ones. There is alot of new wizards and witches in this book and does come a bit confusing but is deffintly still worth reading it.... Read review

...I brought this set of books for my 2 year old son. It is a set of 6 small board books and comes in a little box/slip cover to store them in. The books themselves are great - especially as the books are small (approx 4" x 3.5") ideal for little hands. Each book shows charactors you see on ITNG with lovely bright pictures The box/ slipcover they go in are just thin cardboard which my son sadly destroyed within days. So my only moan about this item is the box could have been made better. The books each have part of a picture on the back and when placed together with the other books makes a lovely picture of the night garden. Which any ITNG fan will love.... Read review

...When I first picked up this book 4 years ago I was bored and hoping to find a book that could hold my interest for more that 15 minutes. I didn't put it down until i was finished. I was hooked from the first page. The characters were amazing. I felt like I knew them personally, they held my affection and loyalty. I loved the plot, the setting, the magic, and the adventure. From this book I went on to the next 3 in this series which were just as good, and the other 7 books by this author that are set in the world of Midkemia. I highly recommend this book for people who love adventure! This is his first book and it has compelled me to keep on reading them and I have know read all of his books, he is that good... ...I came across these books through my mum who had read and heard of these books before and as i have a young son have read the books myself. Scarface Claw is a black tom cat and is apparently the toughest cat in town and scares alot of the other animals too. The book is about Scarface Claw and he is not meant to be scared of anything like thunder storms or the dark not even dogs when they lollop and leap until the last page which i am not going to give away. The author of Scarface Claw is Lynley Dodd and the books she has written are great which include Slinky Malinki and Hairy Maclary the cost of the books are £4.99. My son actually likes these books and loves his nanna to read them to him. Lynley Dodd is an exceptional writer and i would recommend people buy her books.... Read review
