A Overview of a classic series

...This time I may have bitten of more than I can chew but the hard slog begins here and what I start I finish all! The reason why I say I may have bitten off more than I can chew is because I am trying to write a piece on one of the oddest pieces of written work by any author that I have ever seen. This set of books, 14 collected volumes in total, is hard act by any standards. But it has something for everyone! All I can do is write an overview of these works as even I have not read all the volumes involved in this epic tale and recommend the volumes in the set that I love personally, giving a brief insight into the ?champion? of the volume in question. Psychotherapy & counselling, a brief overview.

...Introduction: I have thought pretty long and hard about writing a review on therapy/counselling/psychotherapy, not least because I recognise that if I do write a review and let members here know what I do for a living I might get a lot of people contacting me via the guestbook, with questions that I can't or would not be prepared to answer. Also, I can only 'touch' on the subject here. However, I also recognise that a lot of people have a lot of misconceptions about the therapeutic world, as portrayed by TV therapists, and the constant reporting on celebrities 'in therapy'. So I guess I see this as an opportunity to put a few ideas out there for folks to have a considered view about therapy, and what it is all about, well, not 'all', but a fair overview. A good overview of Gaudí's work

Advantages: A great example of Gaudí's work and an overview of his other buildings
Disadvantages: Not great if you have mobility problems

...chose to visit this building, as there were displays on many of his other works which gave a really good overview of his style and techniques. There were pictures of buildings that are not normally visited which was interesting. I was fascinated by an upside down model of a building made of string with weights attached which demonstrated one of Gaudí's techniques for designing arches. If you looked in the mirror that was placed below the model, you could see what the building would look like. The coordinates were entered in a computer and it was found that modern techniques could not have designed it better. The roof terrace was great fun. Crystal Healing. A brief overview.

...Publications A great website to visit is the Holisticshoponline.com, they have a great archive of articles and it cost you nothing to read them. They are also a reputable dealer in the crystal's themselves and I have many lovely pieces from them. Well I think I have done all I can for now and I really hope that this has not been too boring a read, I have done my best to give you and overview of what crystal healing is all about and of course the reason for my love for crystal's and thier beauty, in can be either a cheap hobby or an expensive one depending on what you buy but I can say this with honesty, it is a very rewarding hobby and a great therapy. An Overview of Oxford University

Advantages: High academic standards, reputation, university can be the best years of your life
Disadvantages: Can be seen as stuffy and old-fashioned, a lot of work, may not suit all

...Oxford University is one of the most prestigious in the world. It may be second to Cambridge in the Times league table, but really this is relatively insignificant. The truth is that there are many top quality universities, and I shall not pretend that Oxbridge is automatically superior, when in reality places like York, Durham, etc can all offer at least as good facilities in certain subjects. As a current student of Oxford University (just finished first year PPE at Jesus), however, I feel qualified to write a guide for those that may be thinking of applying, and anyone who’s just interested. Excellent Overview

Advantages: Lots of information in a book which is only £5.99. Excellent value

...This small paperback book which retails at £5.99 is one of the 'new perspectives' titles and brings the reader a basic overview of homeopathy basics. I bought this when I first started getting interested in homeopathy and although I have bought other books since, I always go back to this one on a regular basis. Sections include; Understanding Homeopathy Health and disease How Homeopathy works Your Home Remedy Kit First aid remedies and of course, loads more. A number of homeopathic remedies are looked at in detail which is great if you want to learn about the remedies. For those using the book as a reference for particular problems there is also 'Remedies for common illness' index whereby you can look up a particular illness or symptom and be offered a number of different remedies indicated for that condition...
