...Colgate is undoubtedly one of the most established brands of toothpaste in the UK and indeed worldwide. But did you know the company is 200 years old? No neither did I - just take a look at their website if you don't believe me! When it comes to toothpaste, I am loyal to two main brands - Aquafresh and Colgate. I tend to buy several tubes of whichever one happens to be on offer when I go shopping. My latest purchase was two tubes of Colgate Oxygen for £3 from Tesco - a saving of 88p. I had not bought this particular variety before, but was intrigued to find out how well it fared compared to my usual Aquafresh toothpaste. Colgate Oxygen toothpaste comes in a standard sized box, with the Colgate logo embossed across the front. To the right of this are the words 'Oxygen Pure Freshness' and in the background are lots of small blue bubbles...

A Mouthful of Oxygen?!

Advantages: Good taste and totally freshens mouth!
Disadvantages: More expensive than other brands.

It was the Colgate comapny that first produced 'toothpaste in a tube' (c1896), previous to that it was kept in a jar, no doubt next to their false teeth lol. The Packaging A light bluse box over laid with red at one end with the Colgate logo in white on top with pictures of bubbles at the other end. I brought the 100ml tube for £2.00 at superdrug. To be honest with you I'm not usually that fussy when buying toothpaste, when faced with racks and racks of the stuff I go for the reduced or special offers. Oxygen, is that a lot of hot (or is that cold) air?

Advantages: Does what a toothpaste should.
Disadvantages: RRP is expensive!

...COLGATE OXYGEN TOOTHPASTE We popped a new toothpaste in our trolley last month, it was Colgate 'Oxygen' toothpaste, and they proudly told me that I would have "a clean, fresh mouth, like a fresh of breath air"!! Did it?? APPEARANCE The 100ml tube came in a cardboard box (why do they do that, it seems a complete waste and it is hardly environmentally friendly); the box is pale blue with a big red Colgate logo and a little pile of bubbles!! The box also tells me that this toothpaste will provide us with Pure Freshness Long lasting fresh breath Care and Protection for our teeth and gums I should hope so, that's why you buy toothpaste isn't it? Ah but Colgate also tell us on the packaging that it 'releases fine bubbles of pure oxygen which lift away impurities like plaque, leaving your mouth feeling fresh...

Essential Oxygen

Advantages: Fairly cheap compared to other brands, does the trick

...As someone who doesn't have problem skin but gets annoyed with the spots I do get, I went out in search of a new facial cleanser. Being the penny-pincher I am, my search took me to Home Bargains where all the products are supposed to be sold at half the RRP. Scouring the beauty shelves, I came across an attractive-looking whte and silver duo-pack of Oxygen daily facial wash and daily cleanser for the bargain price of just £1.99. Not expecting a great deal for the amount I paid (even though it is a branded product) I set about using both products on my face religiously morning and evening for a week. I expected the facial wash to keep in with the "pure and natural" theme and be clear but it looks artificially blue. You only need a very small amount to lather your face as it foams up quite well. Bliss Oxygen Mask.......for a quick "pick me up" and a fresh face

Advantages: Yummy,fluffy and gives you super soft,sexy and glowing skin in 5 minutes!
Disadvantages: apart from the price....nothing!.....save up!!!!

M-Audio Oxygen 61[Midi Keyboard]

I previously i owned the smaller version of this the Oxygen8 v2, which i loved, howeveras i was progressing as a musician, it was limiting me on the mellodies i was composing as there wernt enough keys. So i upgraded to the Oxygen 61 which is what im currently using. Im extremely happly with it so far, and feel that it meets all of my requirements not just as a Midi Keyboard but also as a Controller Interface for software like 'Reason'. The Modulation and Pitch Bend Sliders are very useful while recording to generate different effects.
