Advantages: All the comfort of a Mercedes with the performance and control of top of the range exec

Cambridge Audio C/P500 Pre/Power Amp

Advantages: Audiophile quality design and build
Disadvantages: takes up more shelves on your hi-fi rack and needs more cables. Big Deal!!!

...I have owned two of these P500 power amps along with accompanying C500 control/pre-amp for approx 10 years now. They are receiving signal from a 24 bit NAD C540 CD player (see my other review) and feeding a pair of Mission 734i floor standing speakers. I bought this system after initial going to audition a NAD amplifier of the time that had received rave reviews. I was recomended to try the C/P500 combination to compare and although the NAD was fairly close on the lower frequencies the higher frequencies were much clearer and natural and so I ended up buying two power amps to bi-amp the speakers (the P500 does give two sets of connections to facilitate bi-wiring, it's just that at this price I couldn't resist). I listen to a varied range of music from older stuff such as the Beatles and the Clash, more modern stuff such as Jamiruqai...

After The P-(C, and G)-Funk Came...

Advantages: Some big tunes
Disadvantages: Slower tracks are generally weak

After having dropped something so hard upon the listeners, you find that here she appears to have set up a bit of a contrast as you see that it goes from such a raw one to one that shift things around towards the softer end to show some sort of variety and depth to what she does. Here she does appear to be especially strong at this side of things, but she would go on to do much bigger and better things later. **Two Stars** 6. ?Down For The One? Using ?The One? concept that has been borrowed from George Clinton and his P-Funk mob, you see that in this one she gets back to the much more lively material where she brings the Hard Funk to her music in order to punctuate what she does and to come out with what I would consider to be the most impressive results...

Advantages: A great Vitamin product, easy to take, effective and cheap!

As Easy As Shredding Money?

Disadvantages: Doesn't shred 6 pages as stated, very noisey, can't cope with credit cards

...but I feel that you need to consider: 1) How much are you going to be using it? 2) What volume of paper are you going to be subjecting it to? 3) Is it just paper you want to shred or is it staples and CD?s too? 4) How much are you willing to spend? All things considered we set our budget at around £40 (as that seems to be the price of most decent shredders these days) and we took ourselves down to Staples. We wanted a shredder that would be able take around 4 sheets of paper at a time because we tend to let our paper build up before using the shredder and we wanted something that we could put staples into as well. I frequently notice that P&C has some items on clearance, so had a good rummage through their displays, and have found found Polo Ralph Lauren boxer shorts at EUR 17.90 per pair, whereas in Steffl (Kärntnerstrasse) and other outlets the same boxer shorts were retailing have been retailing at about EUR 24.90.. The store used to be renowned for their high level of customer service, as when the store was first opened, P&C sent in people from Germany to oversee the training and to ensure that staff paid enough attention to the customer. Recently I have noticed that there was no attention paid to me whatever, although I was relieved as after all I wanted to just rummage in peace and get what I wanted without an overly intrusive shop...

My sons Grandparents purchased a laptop computer for his birthday recently and not being exactly technically minded took advice from the shop staff.
