Advantages: Reliable quality, good range of designer clothing Disadvantages: Service could be better.
...overpriced and doesn?t last as well as some of the labels that are sold in P&C, and nor is it a lot cheaper that P&C. I frequently notice that P&C has some items on clearance, so had a good rummage through their displays, and have found found Polo Ralph Lauren boxer shorts at EUR 17.90 per pair, whereas in Steffl (Kärntnerstrasse) and other outlets the same boxer shorts were retailing have been retailing at about EUR 24.90..
The store used to be renowned for their high level of customer service, as when the store was first opened, P&C sent in people from Germany to oversee the training and to ensure that staff paid enough attention to the customer. Recently I have noticed that there was no attention paid to me whatever, although I was relieved as after all I wanted to just rummage in peace and get what I wanted without an overly intrusive shop...
Advantages: None Disadvantages: Extremely poor service
...Along with other members, we have also suffered a bad experience with P.C World.
My sons Grandparents purchased a laptop computer for his birthday recently and not being exactly technically minded took advice from the shop staff.
After only a couple of months, the laptop suffered a problem and appeared to totally crash and my son was unable to get anything onto the screen.
It was taken back to the shop by his grandfather who was told that there was a telephone helpline to contact which could possibly resolve the problem over the phone and to try that option first.
They did this but were unble to resolve the problem despite being given instructions by the telephone advisor whom we all presume was a computer technician.
A return visit to the shop was made and they were informed that because it was a laptop, it would have...

Review of pcworld.com
Advantages: Fast paced, mysterious yet still funny in places! Disadvantages: There are only six in the series!
...After reading the first two books in this series I rushed straight into the third with much excitement and anticipation, thankfully, well for me anyway my husband is sick and tired of me cooking and reading at the same time, yes I can multi task, this book was not a disappointment!
The book I will now review is - ?Chosen, by P.C and Kirsten Cast?.
Please be warned, before reading this review be aware that this will contain spoilers of the first two reviewed books, this unfortunately is inevitable.
This book starts from the same day the book finishes in Betrayed (see previous book review!), even though there are two books previous to this, due to the sheer amount of action held within only two months has elapsed since Zoey Redbird, the newest and by far one of the most powerful fledglings around, has been marked to eventually...
...This book is the third in the House of Night series written by mother and daughter team P.C and Kirsten Cast . With this being book 3 in the series, this review will contain some spoilers from books one and two, so if you haven't read them but plan to, you may want to pass over the next two paragraphs , although I have tried to keep it vague .
***A recap of events so far***
Okay, so Zoeys been a flegdling at the House of Nught Vampire finishing school for a couple of month now, and already she's had enough drame to last her a lifetime - she's had to deal with her fledgeling senses being more advanced than usual, resulting in her craving her human ex boyfreinds blood and imprinting with him . As if that wasn't enough, she also had to overthrow evil bitch queen Aprhrodite, the leader of the Dark Daughters, an exclusive school society...
Advantages: Enjoyable, very readable story Disadvantages: Very Americanised, including some slang I didn't really get
...Chosen is the third book in P.C. and Kristin Cast's House of Night saga.. I bought my copy for £4.89 new from Amazon, but the jacket price is £6.99, as with most books now, if you shop around you are pretty much guaranteed to get a deal on it. At present the first five books are available, the sixth (Tempted) is due for paperback release on October 27th 2009, but doesn't seem to be being released in hardback. A seventh book, Burned, has been announced with an expected release date of May 2010.
**History and background**
This is another saga of teenage/young adult vampire fiction, a genre which regularly comes back into vogue. Cast seems to have piggybacked on the huge success of the Harry Potter series, and I suppose possibly on the Stephanie Meyer Twilight saga which were written earlier than House of Night. This isn't a criticism...
Advantages: The insurance paid for a new garden wall. Disadvantages: The last time Bill left the police station unscathed.........
...to something else. Bill was now at the desk facing him, ranting, nineteen to the dozen. Suddenly he realised that the Sergeant simply was not listening.
This angered him more still, but shut him up momentarily. The Sergeant started to laugh out loud! He had a police walkie-talkie to his ear?
?"You're not going to believe this Serge?"
?"Go on try me, P.C. Smith?"
"I'm at the bottom of the hill walking up towards the station, a driver-less car has just passed me going backwards down the hill - must have been doing at least 30mph!
"Thank you P.C. Smith, are you sure that there was no driver?"
"Yes sir, it was travelling backwards down the wrong side of the road, on the side I'm walking, I could quite clearly see that there was nobody in the car!"
"Are there any casualties P.C. Smith?"
"No sir, only a flint garden wall...
Advantages: A roof over your head Disadvantages: No mod cons
...indignant he resolved to report the matter to his favourite police station. Firstly though he had the appointment to keep with the barber.
His routine took him from the barbers to "The Club", where he met a drinking friend, played a game of pool, whilst doing so consuming in his own words "one and a half pints of lager and a sherry to steady my nerves". He recalled the story of the other drivers "outrageous behaviour" to his friend who positively urged him to report the incident to the police.
He got into the car and drove directly from the Club, the time was just before 1.00p.m.
As with the last visit to the police station his luck was in, he found a space right outside. Unlike the previous visit (see "Are there any casualties P.C. Smith?") this time he remembered to put both the hand brake on properly and the gear lever into the "Park...
Advantages: More twists and turns. Disadvantages: Doesn't answer all your questions, ready for the next book!
...After being so impressed with the first book in the series, and also the fact that my sister has brought the first three and lent them all to me in one go, I decided to get stuck in straight away, hence this review!
The book I will now review is - ?Betrayed by P.C and Kirsten Cast?
After coming to terms slightly with her new powers and the fact that she is changing daily into a fully fledged vampire, Zoey Redbird feels that she has finally found her calling and her ideal family.
Not only has she realised that she is far from the bog standard ?fledging? that is in her first year, but rather a very gifted vampire far more advanced in ability than her fellow students, this being the case she has now been awarded the top position of leader of the ?Dark daughters and sons?,a prestigious place in one of the many groups in the house...
Advantages: Good, compulsive story Disadvantages: Very Americanised
...This review is on Betrayed, the second book in P.C. And Kristin Cast's House of Night Saga. The books are teenage fiction, published in 2007 by Atom. There is a warning on the back of this book declaring that it is not suitable for younger readers, and I agree whole-heartedly with this!
There are some spoilers from the first book (Marked) here, but I've tried to keep them to a minimum.
Betrayed begins a month on from where Marked left off, which was with Zoey Redbird taking over from Aphrodite as leader of the Dark Daughters and as High Priestess in training at House of Night. House of Night is a school for fledgling vampyres (in Zoey's world, vampyres and humans co-exist and have always done so). The rules are simple, you succeed at school and you live, but if your body rejects the change from human to vampyre, you die.
In Betrayed...
Advantages: Nice twist to the vampire angle Disadvantages: a bit strange at times.
...As you may well know "Chosen" is a vampire book, and after the likes of Twilight you may be like "I have had enough of this obssession with 'Twilght' people have" but this book is some what different. Just like 'Twilight' was different in which the vampires could go out in the sun, and wouldnt die from garlic, holy water, steaks through the heart.
Well in "Chosen" P.C Cast twists the idea of a vampire, and becoming a vampire. You don't get bitten you are chosen, which is why it was named this. No one makes you become one it just happens, and to actually become a vampire you have to go through 4 years of training, and you may well die. The vampires do not enjoy the sun very much but they won't die from it.
What I like about this book is that everyone is aware about vampires. They may not like them but everyone knows what they are...
