...Michael Page are one of the biggest recruitment agencies in the UK. They have an impressive client list containing most of the top blue-chip organisations and have specialisms including finance, acountancy, retail and business management. Personally, I've had both very good and very bad experiences from the retail division. I initially contacted Michael Page some 6/7 years ago when I was seeking a move within the retail market. On receiving my CV they were quick to respond and diligently invited me in for an initial meeting to discuss different opportunities. They are refreshingly good in giving you good straight forward and honest advice regarding your CV and how you come across. Advantages: Earn money for nothing!
Disadvantages: Yahoo search engine is not quite as good as Google

...engine, Yahoo. I am a Google girl born and bred but Yahoo gives reasonable results and you can always use Google as a back up. I did find one point confusing at first (but then I am easily confused). Search results open in separate window which pops up on top when the search button is clicked, If you minimize this window (rather than closing it) before doing another search you may think your search button hasn't produced any results because the results appear in the minimized window! Of course this would be perfectly obvious to younger members but it took me an aggravatingly long time to suss it out! I think the site is still in its infancy and not all the options are up and running as yet. To be honest I am not sure what these other aspects will involve. Can "Two Pages" be improved?

Advantages: The Azymuth Remix of Star Chasers
Disadvantages: Many remixes do not significantly improve upon or differ from the original

...?Two Pages Reinterpretations? (released in 1999) by 4hero is, as the album name suggests, a collection of 11 remixes of 7 tracks from their ?Two Pages? album (1998 Mercury Prize nominee). If you haven?t already heard of this album I highly recommend it to people after a jazzy, organic drum n bass sound. In my opinion, a good remix should improve upon the original tune and/or sound completely different and fresh. Let?s see how this remix album shapes up: 1. Planetaria (Hefner Remix) 6:18 This instrumental has a much more laid back tempo and a simpler arrangement than the original. Slightly increased repetition and fewer instruments reduce the organic feel although the distinctive double bass is retained - I prefer the original. 2. Review of Two Pages (Re-Interpretations) - 4 Hero

Story of the Year - Page Avenue.

Advantages: Amazing album, and it is cool that theire first album already rocked.
Disadvantages: Sometimes maybe to much repeating of the lyrics, thats all.

...like how you can hear frustration, I can picture him singing it like this to his girl, and the music is really great as a back up to his vocals. However, the lyrics repeat too much, they could have gotten more out of this track. Track 8 ('Page Avenue') I find this song too freaking popstyle, great if you have a little sister, if you do it well, this can get her into rock, and build it up. Too poppy, too much stretched singing, blurred talking, this song is kind of a let down, and does not deserve to be title carrier. Track 9 ('Sidewalks') Love the singing intro, shows balls, and this track shows a really different side of his voice. This song is about leaving behind what sucks, and being able to do what you want to do, get away from the sidewalks you walk on every day again. The musical back up, I would pay anything to feel like this...

Microsoft FrontPage 2003

Advantages: Much better HTML, CSS & scripting support, easy to use
Disadvantages: some features rely on Sharepoint Services which most people won't have.

Those that enjoyed its simple WYSIWYG approach felt let down by its lack of support for newer web technologies whilst HTML gurus sneered at its poor HTML generation and dependence on proprietary extensions on the server to achieve anything useful. With the 2003 release Microsoft have tried very hard to please everyone and managed to achieve great strides although it is still far from perfect. In terms of support, things are now much more impressive. There is support for XML, XSLT, CSS, Jscript, Javascript, VBScript and ASP.NET. Where it still lacks is mainly PHP and common non Microsoft databases such as MySQL The support extends to IntelliSense and AutoComplete as well as easy access to any code snippets you may have in your library. Setting my sites on PageMill

Advantages: Simple for beginners to use, easy to understand, plenty of features
Disadvantages: Not for flashy, animated web-sites, no longer available in shops

...Serious web designers will sometimes tell you that to make a good web-site, you either need to know HTML or to use a high-powered product such as Dreamweaver. They'll probably add that you need to go on a training course for either of them. If you're one of those who believe this, then this review is not for you! Doubtless there's some truth in these claims, but equally I've come across a fair amount of web-site snobbery, not to mention expensively designed sites which have a most impressive flashy opening sequence but very little content. Or which have plenty of useful content, but it's difficult to find. 1st one page, then another..

Advantages: It's free, it's powerfull, it's somewhere to start
Disadvantages: Not for everyone

...This is my first accepted product. It?s a powerful HTML editor, which can be downloaded free and used as much as you want, there is nothing to pay. I found this invaluable when I was learning HTML hand coding (it?s not WYSWYG (What You See is What You Get) like FrontPage and Dreamweaver). It?s not as friendly as either of those but it will give you legal, professional result at no cost (foot in the water so to speak). When I first joined Ciao I got to know the emphatic DRChazan , she gave me very helpful guidance concerning writing ops, as did many people. I noticed that DRChazan had in her ?About me? section on the second page (which can display HTML code) some plain text and was asking for some help about HTML coding. Advantages: Useful tips.
Disadvantages: Barely mentions the most important thing.

...Anybody, no matter how boring or obnoxious, can have a website. All you need is an internet connection and some know-how, or failing that some software. Web Pages Made Easy goes for the latter approach, with a decent-sized cover disk and lots of tutorials explaining how to use it. I'll say straight off that this magazine's approach is not the one I would recommend to a novice. Several weeks ago I knew nothing of HTML. I did a good online tutorial ( at Davesite.com ), and within a fortnight I had learnt as much as I needed to create the website I want. By the way, HTML stands for Happy Tipsy Monkey Language, because one could use it. Issue 19 of Web Pages Made Easy contains absolutely no HTML at all....

Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series is now 4 books long, and there are plans to make them all into films at some point. The second book, New Moon, is to be released as a film in a few months, and the whole series at the moment has a whole amount of hype surrounding it. And deservingly so.
