They are the new heat patches from Nurofen, especially designed for back pain. Rapid relief for headache and migraines

Advantages: Easy to swallow, really do work, not too expensive and you can get them in nearly every pharmacy
Disadvantages: Can make you a little tired and you need to catch the headache right at the beginning for the best effects.

...I suffer from migraines and headaches frequently and I must say that I have tried just about EVERYTHING. But when I came across Syndol and first used them I knew that my prayers were answered (well I still get migraines but now I know I have the cure!) Boots do make a cheaper alternative to Syndol called 'Boots tension headache tablets' and they come in a blue and silver box, Syndol comes in a red and blue and silver box. They both have exactly the same ingredients. I find that they both work as well but I have found that nowadays only the big Boots stores actually stock their own brand. These tablets contain Paracetamol (450mg), Codeine (10mg) and Caffeine (30mg) to relieve head pain, and Doxylamine Succinate (5mg) to relax muscular tension. The only pain relief that the midwife was allowed to bring was gas and air. Apparently the main reason for people being transferred to hospital during a home birth is due to not being able to cope with the pain. I hired a TENS machine(about £10 from my doctors clinic), which I found distracted my attention away from the pain rather than made it less. I found that in early labour it was quite nice. epidurals for pain relief during labour

...well i wanted to do this op all about epidurals so i could hopefully let a few people know about one of the major side effects from it, and yes i was one of the lucky!!! ones that got it. before i start i will say dont be scared of epidurals because they are fantastic and take all the pain away and its marvellous. I had a very bad labour and was begging for the epidural when i was only 1 centimetre dilited because my labour was so bad. I wont go into the labour bit cus i will be here all day but i will say my baby was facing up and had her spine was on mine all the way through and i was having 5 contractions every 2 minutes for 16 hours and it hurt :) so do opt for a epidural if it is what you want, i just wanted to tell people about the spinal tap problem as i had never heard of it and was totally un-aware that this could happen...
