Jasc Paint Shop Pro

...’m here to tell you about the features of Jasc Paint Shop Pro. I will now list the features that I use the most, as explaining what I don’t use wouldn’t leave much up to my opinion now would it? so here goes... Image Mapper - This is nice and possibly what I use it for the most; I will create sidebars for websites with the relevant graphics on it then use this to separate it up into linkable sections, or Image Map it. Whenever you are on the internet and you see a graphic with two or more links in different places then this graphic has been Image Mapped and its a nice feature considering you give the details and Jasc PSP does the work! wonderful. Red Eye Correction - I have corrected many a red eye with this wonderful tool, its easy to use and leaves a nice clean finish. I havent tried other eye correcters because this...

Corel's Paint Shop Beauty

Advantages: Affordable, massive range of tools, accepts many Photoshop plugins, easy to learn
Disadvantages: It's not Photoshop.

...I've been using Paint Shop Pro since around 1998/9, when PSP5 was out. Since then, it's been through many different upgrades, and I've learnt much about photo and image editing along the way. Until version 10, or Paint Shop Pro X to give it its proper title, the software was developed and sold by Jasc. From version 10 onwards, however, it has been part of the Corel family of software, alongside the likes of Corel Draw and, of late, Winzip. From version 11 onwards, the software gained the word 'Photo' in its title, becoming Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo XI. It's impossible to give a review that covers absolutely everything about a product like Paint Shop Pro. ...From it's early freeware or shareware days PaintshopPro has always been my favourite graphics program. It is very versatile and has loads of great features to help manipulate, design and create images. It handles all file types, jpg, tif, bmp, wmf etc and is my default picture browser. Features include, resizing images, altering and adding layers, special filters, hue & saturation, brightness and contrast, in fact everything you would expect from a graphics package costing much more. It is an easy program to use comes complete with excellent help files and represents good value for money....

Advantages: Easy to use, lots of features

...I have always enjoyed editing photos and making graphics on the computer however I never had a decent editing program. I had looked into getting Photo Shop, however it was extremely expensive so instead I looked around and decided to buy Paint Shop Pro 8 instead. This is also fairly pricey to buy, however I searched around the Amazon Market Place and picked up a brand new copy for about £7! For that amount of money, I couldn't go wrong. When the CDROM arrived, I turned the case over and read the information on the back which was very useful. It explained how you could use the software for editing digital photos, creating graphics, resizing images and web design. Inside the case was a four page guide. Paint Shop Pro 8 - worth the upgrade?

Paint Shop Pro 7 - Still going Strong.

Advantages: Great Grpahics Package, It is now older :. Cheap!
Disadvantages: Lacks the Power of newer releases.
