Palm Top of the pile

Advantages: Light, powerful, elegant, good battery life, lots of software available.
Disadvantages: Not a stand alone product

For people who are always on the move, and not always near a charger, there is also a highly useful thing called the power clip (see www.powerclip.de), which allows you to charge your Palm from a 9V battery, only half charging it, but this may well stop you from running on empty and thereby losing everything. Similarly using the IR beam is another way to diminish battery life, and it is reckoned that 1 minute of beaming takes 1 hour of the length of time the battery will hold for. For anyone syncing with a desktop computer, then there is also now a USB syncing cable, which also includes a charger, which eliminates the need to have to find a plug socket to connect the charger part of the hotsync cradle to. ...I got my new Palm TX in August this year and I have been very impressed with its performance and flexibility. I previously owned a Palm Tungsten E which screen was 320 x 320 resolution and had no Bluetooth or Wi-fi, so these 2 features are great additions for me. For those who have never used a PDA they are all touch screen and most have handwriting recognition to save having a keyboard and in Palm handhelds this is called Graffiti and is very handy when writing as you can just write as you normally would. The Screen size of the TX is 320 x 460 so videos can be viewed in landscape and portrait modes, so effectively can be in widescreen. The video quality is very impressive and I would highly recommend in investing in a 2GB SD card for those long journeys. Wii component cable- Well worth the money

Advantages: sharper/brighter picture, opens up more ports on TV, saves hassle.

...The Nintendo Wii component video cable really is a sound investment if you are the owner of an HD/ LCD TV, and obviously a nintendo Wii. Before i bought it, i had trouble with the picture quality and contrast on many of the games. Games such as Wii Sports were fine, but more of the action/adventure games such as Zelda or Splinter Cell give a very dark picture which can sometimes be hard to make out what was happening. The only way i could combat this problem was to adjust the contrast on my television which did help, but was alot of hassle. With the component cable, the picture is not only much brighter, but much sharper and defined.
