Advantages: Compact size to fit in pocket, but screen large enough to watch movies Disadvantages: Unlike the later models, this does not have wi-fi
...Although this does not have wi-fi like the T5, and has a much smaller memory chip, it is still an excellent product. The memory problem is easy to get round by placing all large items like audio books and movies on cards instead of on the palm, and the wi-fi lack can supposedly be got round by using bluetooth for the internet, although I have not tried this.
You have a choice of using the alpha numeric keyboard or writing directly on the the palm, both with the stylis, and both are very easy to use. This comes in very handy when you are out and about and need to write down something, for instance the details for an insurance claim of somebody who has backed into your car in a carpark.
The screen is very large compared to a lot of PDA's, and can be changed to landscape view which is great for photos. The photos can be put...

Review of Palm Tungsten T3
Advantages: A sexy toy, erm which does lots of important things too! Disadvantages: Can only use some of the functionality with people with compatible devices.
...T3 is 7.6cm x1.7cm x 10.9cm. So it?s fair to say that it is about average size for most PDAs. However, it has the new Palm stretch display which means that a further 2.5cm of screen space is available to you. Clever eh? It weighs in at 156g which I believe is also about average for current PDAs
@@@ Techy stuff @@@
It has an Intel 400 MHz Intel XScale processor, 16MB of ROM and 64 MB of internal memory.
@@@ System Requirements @@@
Palm OS 5.2.1 is the operating system and the T3 is compatible with PCs:
Microsoft Windows 2000/NT4.0, Microsoft Windows 98/ME, Microsoft Windows XP, Apple MacOS 9.1 or later, Apple MacOS X 10.1.2 or later Apple MacOS X 10.2.6
@@@ Display @@@
The display is transflective and 16-bit (i.e. 64k colours) which is really excellent ? it means that light hitting it from any angle causes minimum...

Review of Palm Tungsten T3
Advantages: Tourmaline plates give better protection to hair Disadvantages: None except price
...£100+!) I checked out the details with SDLhair, who distribute this make. I spoke to a very helpful lady who confirmed that yes, it really was all true, the T3 is the latest and best model. The plates contain Tourmaline crystals which are crushed into the ceramic plates enabling them to produce a higher level of negative ions. Tourmaline is an expensive precious stone which apparently posseses unique ionic and infrared properties giving the hair a shinier and healthier finish! Well that did it for me, so I tracked down the best deal on the internet with Salonlines.co.uk...£155 for a T3 Mark 2, 1" pair of straighteners and....errm....the matching T3 hairdryer..well I had to get the matching hairdryer!.. and it's brilliant too, but this review is about the straighteners.

Review of T3 Straightener
Advantages: Amazing screen, easy to use, lots of features Disadvantages: No Wi-Fi, quite expensive
...I got into PDAs a while ago and after owning a couple of them, as well as test-driving quite a few, I settled down with a Toshiba e750 (see my review). The downside of that machine is that it?s geared up to sync with Microsoft Outlook, and at my new job I have to use Lotus Notes. I then heard from some of my co-workers that Palm machines handle the sync with Notes better, so I decided to try out my friend?s Tungsten T3. This is the second time I?ve ever used a Palm device since I had my m130 (see my review) and I was quite impressed at how far Palm have come in their OS and features in the last couple of years.
Design:
The T-series Tungsten?s share a similar design and feature the slider that usually covers the writing area. It looks very similar to a T2 or a T Tungsten and in fact the devices are the same size. The main difference...

Review of Palm Tungsten T3
...If ever a clearer case were ever needed to be made about the dangers of hyping up a mediocre product I'd love to see it. Meanwhile I'm going to do my best here.
Having owned this PDA for over a year now I just seem to be collecting disappointments: the awfulness of this product only appears to get worse over time.
Where to start? How about the good points? There's no credit due to Palm in saying that PDAs are still a fabulous idea. The ability to sync up data with a computer simply and speedily is truly marvellous. If one loses one's PDA one can simply buy another one and be back where you started without any loss of precious phone numbers, addresses and so on. In this particular PDA the freehand notebook has proved to be a real boon, as has the voice recorder. The T3's search facility is quick, although with a clumsy and fussy...

Review of Palm Tungsten T3
Advantages: The best on the market! Brilliant job on any type on hair. Disadvantages: Quite expensive but worth it (I think anyway)
...a frizzy mess anyway!
Then I tried a friends GHD's and thought they were the best ever, the answer to my prayers! So I went on a hunt for the cheapest offer, this took a few months but whilst looking I stumbled across an advert for the latest innovative hair straighteners on the market; the T3 tourmaline wet-to-dry.
I didn't know anyone with these straighteners but I really liked the sound of them, especially the fact you can just jump out of the shower and straighten from wet. I read up on them and everything said was very positive. I know they are expensive (almost £100) but I was gonna spend that much anyway on the GHD's.
So, my hunt started again but this time for the T3 iron. It didn't take long for me to find a good offer.
I waited a couple of days for them to arrive and when they did I wasn't disappointed.
I tried them that day...

Review of T3 Straightener
Advantages: Brilliant results, Temperature dial, Light, Easy to use. Disadvantages: They are so good that you won't want to be without them!
...I was a little confused when trying to decide which ceramic straigheners to buy. At first I was going to go for GHD as they are a very popular brand....However don't follow the crowd, try T3 Tourmaline straighteners by HairArt.
These straighteners are made from 100% crushed Tourmaline mineral. Which in the words of 'Jasonshankey.co.uk' means:
'A precious stone, Tourmaline works by
itself, just like a magnet. It naturally emits
the most negative ions and infrared heat possible.
This means you get the best results, and
the silkiest, shiniest, healthiest hair imaginable. Guaranteed.'
I certainly get silky and shiney hair after using these straighteners, and apparently Tourmaline straighteners are less damaging on the hair than normal ceramic straighteners (like GHD). Therefore this is one thing that makes these straighteners...

Review of T3 Straightener
Advantages: Synergy, Web account integration, Fast Search, Facebook integration, Full Browser Disadvantages: Music Integration, No Flash or streaming MPG support
...reading size on certain websites.
No Flash support at this time which is a major disappointment but its due early 2010, think this is essential to get the full web.
No support for streaming .mpg files which is disappointing.
Keypad
Drop down QWERTY keypad, appears a little small when you look at it but I have no problems using it, I don?t like onscreen keypads and this was one of the main reasons I bought the pre, the only time I have a little difficulty is when entering numbers on the keypad rather than the screen, the rest of the time it works great for me and I have quite fat fingers.
Email
I have set this to pull in email form 3 different providers, Gmail, Hotmail and BT yahoo they can merge into one inbox which I find really handy as I found checking all 3 accounts tedious, now I can just look at 1 inbox. I do have some issues with BT...

Review of Palm Pre
Advantages: All my 'techy' interests in one spot Disadvantages: Only 120 pages of real articles for £3.50
..., with the upsurge of mp3 music files, downloadable from the web, it becomes a distinct possibility to store a whole record collection of CDs on one PC hard disk, which when linked through its sound card to your hi-fi won?t sound too shabby, compared to the originals. I know my lounge would look a damned sight larger (and tidier) if it wasn?t for 600 CDs on racks.
Whilst magazines like What HiFi and PC Advisor touch on these subjects, they only really skirt around the edge.
During this past week, I?ve been relaxing in North Norfolk, and in between bouts of bird watching, reading ? anything that comes to hand.
This included the March edition of T3, short for Tomorrow?s Technology Today, a magazine that I have only bought once before. I?d bought this copy it a while ago, forgot about it, rediscovered it and took it with me, ?just in case...
