Palm Treo 750v - brilliant

Advantages: One machine to carry. Quick internet access. Easy to operate
Disadvantages: Lousy camera, ringtones

...Having been a heavy user of palm pda's for a few years I was reluctant to part with them, however it was getting a bind carrying my mobile phone and pda around with me. I thought long and hard about the choices and decided to stick with Palm and go for the Treo 750v. I sold my phone and pda on ebay and away I went. I have now used the Treo for 4 weeks and feel I made the right decision... why? The treo if is has any fault is larger than my mobile phone and it took some getting used to the size, also I don't always get the same clarity with reception. I miss the palm os software and slowly I am now getting used to the windows mobile programme which is on the Treo. I like the way that you can seamlessly move around the programmes. PALM TREO 750. GOOD LOOKER WITH USER PROBLEMS.

Advantages: IT DOES A JOB, GOOD LOOKING, SMALL.
Disadvantages: MANUFACTURERS ENGINEERING PROBLEMS

...lost that advantage although it is still possible to use it with the qwerty keypad that is good. Large fingers such as mine have a disadvantage but that is not a reason to moan. Another downside is that the battery life after a full charge is relatively short, you can find yourself with a flat battery after about 6 to 8 hours usage or less. I purchased a heavy duty battery specially to combat this problem. Now the Palm is too large to sit safely in its snug leather protective case. Oh dear! My biggest moan and findings of many who own one of these Palm Treo 750 are the same as I have stated and they have written to Palm regarding this matter of inactive, non-working touch-screen. My Treo 750 experience

Advantages: Keyboard work flawlessly, Easy to use, Has HSDPA, Great business phone
Disadvantages: Slow Operating System, Battery drains quickly, Poor camera

I had difficulties trying to free enough memory to run programs even though I deleted programs. Though I have installed 2GB of miniSD, shortage memory on the phone often happened since Palm only gave Treo 750 64MB internal memory. 2- Bad power management. Treo 750 battery drains quickly. Advantages: Looks and feels good

...'ve adjusted, but I miss the screen size on the old M5000 - but at the cost of mobility (unlike the M5000, the M3100 isn't shaped like and doesn't weigh as much as a brick!!). Moving to the palm 750 is even more painful! If you ever decide to throw GPS at it, or watch a video, or enjoy the pleasures of transcriber, then you're kinda stuffed with the Palm's tiny screen. And to what gain? - the shape and size of the 750 isn't that much better or nicer than the M3100, and I prefer the keyboard on the M3100. It's slow. They've stuck a slower processor in it than what I get in my M3100; it's not too noticeable running a couple of the apps side by side with the M3100, but still. Palm Treo 680

Advantages: Small and well made, Palm OS
Disadvantages: a bit fiddly

...This is a well thought-out device with a good touch sensitive screen and a surprisingly usable keyboard, even for people like me, with fat fingers. I have used Palm OS PDAs for many years so I have a lot of data and applications from previous devices that I want to maintain and I was keen to stay with the Palm OS operating system rather than switch to Windows at this stage. It was easy to move the Treo 680 from my Palm T5 without any loss of data. Now I only need to carry one device instead of a PDA and a phone. The stylus is a bit fiddly to use when compared to the chunky T5 one, but then the stylus is not needed as much given that the keyboard replaces the need for text entry with the stylus. My review on PalmOne Treo 650

Advantages: Super Quality screen, easy2use keyboard, All in one device, bluetooth, infra, EDGE, lot palm based software.
Disadvantages: No Wi-Fi, low build in memory, so so battery life.

the Palm Treo 500 - a macintosh users perspective!

Advantages: keypad, email, bubble breaker
Disadvantages: battery life

...I chose the Palm Treo 500 for the fact that it has a full keypad for typing, in the style of the blackberry and iphone design rather than having to rely on predictive text etc for email, and although the buttons are naturally small, this aspect of the phone is still very appealing. Caps lock typing can be very awkward however... As a macintosh user, I wasn't sure about using a windows based product, but the functionality is very good and simple to use. Email - for a pop3/imap4 account, once set up works very well although it helps if you have experience of setting up email accounts as you need to know all the settings or where to get hold of them... Internet I find is perfectly functional but the screen size makes browsing frustrating! It is important with the Palm Treo and similar products to not expect too much from these facilities...

Advantages: brilliant bright screen, palm os platform

I believe that the only reason I find it large is because I have had lighter, smaller sony ericsson phones beforehand.
