The hotel is located on the Paseo Maritimo in Palma and has excellent views over the marina and Bay of Palma and is about a 20 minute stroll to the centre of Palma. Ideal for visiting the bars and restuarants of the old town at night and the beautiful city of Palma during the day. There is also a good range of bars, cafes etc along the Paseo Maritimo if the 20 minute walk is an issue. The facilities were good especially the pool area which was spotless, had plenty of space and the best pool bar staff I've met in a long time. ...We visted the Hotel Armadams for our honeymoon back in October 2006 for a short break to take in the sights and sounds of Palma. It is situated one "block" away from the main promenade in Palma, a road lined on one side with bars, hotels, shops and the marina and harbour area on the other. I am not a great Spanish speaker, infact I know only the most basic of phrases to muddle through, but the staff were very understanding and very helpful, even though we weren't checking in until really late following a delayed flight. Heaven in Majorca

Advantages: Quiet location, lovely hotel, brilliant food, private beach.
Disadvantages: Quite expensive and could be a bit quiet.

Voranova Apartments Palma Nova

Advantages: Dirty, old, only cleaned once a week
Disadvantages: The pool

...The Voranova hotel was about half an hour from the airport and cost about 25euros, split between two, so wasn't too bad as the hotel transfer coach you could also book cost as much together and took about 2 hours stopping at every hotel that existed! The hotel was in a good location, a few minutes walking distance from Palma Nova town centre and the beach. It was also about 10-15minutes walk to the centre of Magaluf. We got a bus to Palma City one day and this took about 45 minutes and was very crowded. Just across the road from the hotel was a large supermarket and several shops including a pharmacy, there was also a taxi rank and bus stop. Palma The Beautiful Med

Advantages: Nice beaches good and quiet for young and old, couples and familys.
Disadvantages: Pricey from july to start of december can be alittle too quiet for young couples.

...a short visit to magaluf once in the day for a look around the shops there are plenty but most sell the same stuff. I went on the bungee rocket not for the faint hearted you get a t-shirt and a video of you on the ride. This cost me 17 euros which was half price as it was a promotion so usually around 32 euros bit pricey but well worth it for the view if nothing else. The beaches in magaluf are just as good as in Palma nova and most beaches in Majorca have the blue flag for cleanliness a award they well deserve. There is thiongs to do on the beaches banana boat rides water sking and the parachute thing that drags behind the boat and of course pedalos. Please bear in mind of the people selling fruit on the beach ladys usually i have been told by the local people, that these lady distract your attention to steal your belongings mobile phones...

Love palma nova

...I've been to palma nova several times and i love it. If you looking for a nice quiet holiday this is the place, theres things to do though as well, plenty of shops, and nice bars, usually with some sort of music every night, if you want abit of nightlife, maguluf is just down the road if you want some clubbing? personally i didn't like maguluf because the people who work at the bars are stood outside mithering you to come in. There is one trip i'd recommened, its a one day trip to 3 different place, the first was a market, which was quite good if you like getting a bargain etc, then the was a ceramics shop, and then a town before the caves of darch, which is nice, you walk down lots of stairs, then you sit in a room, where there is a romantic show on water, and los of lights going off....

PALMA NOVA PARADISE

Advantages: short flight from uk, fabulous island, heaps to do,gorgeous scenery, spotlessly clean
Disadvantages: can't think of any!

...We went to Palma Nova in September/October 2005 for 15 days and had the most fabulous holiday. This was the first time we'd been to Palma Nova so didn't know what to expect but we were more than happy with our choice of resorts. Our trip started at Glasgow Airport and we arrived in Palma 2 hours and 20 minutes later. We arrived at 7-30pm and after the long walk through the airport to collect our luggage, we got a taxi to our accommodation. This took around 40 minutes and cost us 34 euros (we later, on our return taxi to airport realised that we'd been taken the long route as the return journey took around 30 mins and cost us 22 euros!). Our accommodation was rented privately through a friend who owns an appartment so we were able to save on accommodation costs. We used the bus service a lot. Regular buses go all over the island...

Our stay in Palma Nova

Advantages: Clean beach, plenty of bars.
Disadvantages: Lack of local food.

...We have just returned from Palma Nova and had a good time. The resort has a wealth of bars and restaurants so there's plenty of choice. There was a mix of ages although the top end, towards Magaluf seemed to cater mainly for the younger 18-30 groups, with bars that stayed open until 6am. As a pair of 40 something lightweights, however, we were happy to stay at the quieter end!!!!! The prices are reasonable and most bars seemed to have a happy hour where cocktails and some beer were cheap. They also had live entertainment. A particularly good one, although a bit more expensive, was the Stadium, which had karaoke until about 1130pm then would have a tribute band on. We saw Queendom and they were much better than we expected. The only downside for us was that it catered for English food but we like to eat local cuisine when abroad...

Palma Nova

Advantages: Lovely beach and prom and ideal for children

...) at very reasonable prices. There is a good and reliable bus service into Palma and neighbouring resorts and regular boat trips to both Palma and different beaches. The beach itself at Palma Nova is magnificent, spotlessly clean and the sort of sand you see in the holiday ads! The sea is constantly cleaned as well, by a guy in a pedalo with a strainer on the front which picks up any debris. The beach is cleaned every night and I didn't see any dirt on it at any time. There are plenty of sunbeds and the whole resort is geared to the Brits which makes a change in Majorca. Plenty of excursions are available either from the hotels or the booking agencies along the promenade and are fairly cheap. Another advantage is that most of the hotels are within easy access of the beach and prom and there wasn't too much traffice to contend with...

MARTHA SHOULD BE PROUD!!!

Advantages: lovely apartment, nice pool, great location

...by the beach rather than staying by the pool, we decided this was a bit dodgy, so opted for the next cheapest apartments - Marthas, in Palmanova. We made the mistake (or not) of only looking at the reviews for Marthas after we had booked and paid our money. Basically all reviews pre-2008 or so stated that the place was AWFUL, but apparently the apartments had been renovated around about that time and were brilliant now. We weren't really sure WHAT to believe but it was a done deal now.
