Pampers New Baby - Best nappies I have used

...Being a new mum I didn't have a clue where to start when it came to buying nappies etc, the only reason I purchased these nappies was because boots had a offer where if you purchased a pack of these you got a free changing bag. I am now very pleased that I had purchased these nappies, I find them very easy to put on my baby (even when she is wriggling around), they are very soft and don't leave red makes around my baby legs (unlike other brands I have tried). These nappies also keep everything in, I have had quite a few what I call exploding nappies now & not a bit of it has got on her clothes or anywhere else other than in the nappy. Many people bought us nappies etc to get us started so I have tried a couple of different brands now and I think Pampers are the best by a mile and I intend to carry on using pampers as my baby gets older...

...THese are definately the best ever wipes and I started using these wipes when my son was born but I first tried Johnsons wipes- these smelt awful and were too wet. Pampers on the other hand are just moist enough without going over the top and they are also large enough for the biggest and dirtiest nappies which is really helpful. At the moment both my children are in nappies, Callum is 2 years 8 months and Lucy is 10 months, so you can just imagine how many wipes I go through a week, can't you? Yes its loads I have to buy two packs on average a week, thats 144 wipes to you people who don't buy them, and they are only slightly cheaper when bought in packs of two I think they work out at £5.49 for the two refil packs as compared to £2.99, well thats in my local Safeway. ...I have been using Pampers Baby Dry since my son was around 5 months old, and I think they have let me down on just 3 occasions, which is pretty good going considering he is now 16 months old! *Pampers* Pampers nappies have been around since 1961, making them 46 years old. They began with pins in the sides instead of sticky tabs, which were not introduced until the 1970's. The 80's saw the biggest change of Pampers, with the nappies being made thinner, elasticated around the legs, and sticky tapes which could be moved many times without ruining the nappy, and the nappy weight was decreased by 50%. The 90's saw gender specific nappies by Pampers, pink for girls and blue for boys but Pampers returned to Unisex nappies again at the end of the decade. You can buy these wipes as a single packet for about £2.50 a pack of 2 (126 wipes) for about £3.50 and a pack of 4 (252 wipes) for about £5. Personally, I don’t know where I’d be without my trusty pack of wipes – I’m lost without it! I have used various brands and types of wipe, from the cheap round tubs that cost around £1 or less, to the more expensive thicker ones that come in square tubs. In my opinion, the cheaper varieties are not worth it. Some that I have used have a really synthetic, chemical smell to them and invariably, your baby will react to them and get a sore bottom. ...When I was expecting baby Lily, I think I bought enough toiletries to start up my own Boots franchise. Baby oil, cotton wool balls, baby lotion, you name it, I bought it. Most of it is still sat in perfect rows on the bottom of our spare room's wardrobe - all except for the baby wipes! For the first few weeks, we did as we were told and only used cotton wool and water on her bum. This, however, didn't stop the horrendous nappy rash that she got. I felt so sorry for her!!
