...I have stayed at this hotel twice and have just returned from my latest stay. --Cost-- The cost is generally alot lower than other hotels which are in Manhattan. We just paid £500 for a 5 night stay there in a room with 2 double beds for 4 people. --Location-- The hotel is situated on Queens Blvd in Queens. This is around 20/30 mins ride from JFK and around 30 mins into Manhattan. There are quite a few shops and restaurants close to the hotel including a steak house and a Pop Diner. Around a 15 minute walk on the same road is Queens Mall where there are loads of shops including a Macys and JC Penneys. The subway station is around a 10 minute walk in the same direction. Buses stop directly outside the hotel. Its a pretty quiet neighbourhood and i always felt safe in the day and night. --The Hotel-- Although not new...

Good hotel, but is it worth the money?

Advantages: Location, tourist attraction in itself

...I went to Amsterdam a couple of weeks ago on a girlie trip. There were 6 of us going and being the classy girls that we are we wanted a somewhat classy hotel. We are also very aware of the pennies and therefore wanted somewhere good value, which included breakfast. Cue hour long searches on the internet looking for the perfect hotel. We thought we had found it. We booked a hotel in Rembrandt Square which was brand new, had a swimming pool and breakfast would only cost us 9 Euros per day. We found it on one of the hotel reduction sites and so the price was only around 40 Euros per night each - bargain we thought. Then, a month before the trip, the hotel management write to us to say that the hotel will not be opening on time - ARGH!!!! PETER PAN FOR THE 21ST CENTURY

Advantages: Great story, wonderful fx, heart warming
Disadvantages: Minor complaints re some fx

The irony of a symbiotic relationship between Hook and Pan is not lost in the translation of this movie and neither has the ponderous implications of orphandom as both main characters seem to be all at sea with a lack of parental direction (I?m sure that this is at the heart of the book?s message). Isaacs does play Mr Darling too, with a stuffy Victoriana that captured that role in a very different way to that of Hook. I haven?t seen Jeremy Sumpter before but I thought his reprisal of Pan was suitably impish although his American accent kind of spoiled the very English accents that the rest of the cast was sporting. A combination of blonde hair and twinkling eyes was enough to capture most mother?s hearts and a certain amount of abandon reflected the paedic joy...

...American Pie - Don McClean This album was originally released in 1971, this is the 1988 CD version, or at least the CD of the 1988 version (says 1988 on CD sleeve, though I do not remember CD's in 1988! Or maybe I just did not have any then, lol). According to various sources this album is amongst the 'best ever' American albums, really? McClean was/is primarily a folk singer and this album, by all accounts was a 'one off', he certainly has little fame apart from this album. The album itself is quite an epic, particularly the title track 'American Pie', a song of over eight and a half minutes that tells a story that is a mix between psychedelia, Americana folk and angsty ballad. ...I recently went on a cultural girlie trip with a friend to Paris. I was left to do all the booking. I was looking for a reasonable hotel, near a metro stop, which included breakfast. I came across the Hotel International on various travel sites and it seemed fairly highly rated so I booked us in for three nights. LOCATION: The hotel is located 6 Rue Auguste Barbier in the 11th Arrondissement. The nearest Metro stop is Garcourt which was a two minute walk away and it was a five minute walk to Republique which gives good links to other lines. It's not really central enough to avoid the Metro and walk to the attractions but it was located so close to a stop that it seemed ideal. PRICE: Prices vary depending on size of room and season. There are singles, doubles and triples available. We paid Euro254 for the whole time...
