Advantages: Range of features, quality Disadvantages: Single tuner
...and some of the other products in the DIGA Range so I choose the Panasonic DIGA DMR-EX79 and here is my review.
When Choosing a new DVD Player I wanted to get one that was as smart looking as the new television I had just bought. One thing about Panasonic products I like so much is that they have a great look and this player is no different, It looks very smart in it's Piano black casing...
Advantages: Recordings are of an exceptionally high quality Disadvantages: Unnecessarily complicated to use
...The Panasonic EX769 recorder has it good points and its bad points. In my opinion the bad far outweighs the good, making this one of the most frustrating electrical devices I've ever used. Nevertheless, I'll try to give a balanced review. I chose a Panasonic recorder because we had a Panasonic TV and in my experience this brand has been the best in terms of quality and reliability.

Review of PanasonicDMR-EX769
Advantages: Built in Freeview, easy of Use, Picture Quality, One Touch Record, HDMI upscaling, SD slot Disadvantages: No DIVx playback on UK model :-(
...this instead of the next model up (the EX-85) as the only difference is HDD size. I figured I could archive recorded programmes to DVD-R if I ever get to the point where I need to free up some space.
The electronic programme guide works very well and is v easy to use.
Apparently, this DVD/HDD recorder allows HDMI upscaling as well, although I haven't been able to check out this feature yet...
