Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3
Review of Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 by

Advantages: 10 times optical zoom, large LCD screen
Disadvantages: no viewfinder
...Although this is a "compact" camera, measuring 105mm wide, 60mm high and 38mm deep, it has a viewable LCD screen which is 60mm long and 45mm high, which therefore covers most of the back of the camera. When switched on, in non-playback mode, the depth increases to a minimum of 55mm, and, on full zoom, to 70mm. The controls are easy to use, and the built-in lens cover saves you forgetting to replace it. There are six different still photograph settings on the selection dial on the top of the camera: simple, normal, intelligent, macro, and two preset selectable "scene" settings.
I find the macro mode setting very useful, being able to focus down to about 50mm, as, on my previous camera, it had to be set before each picture.
The scene modes offer a choice of 21 exposure and shutter speed combinations, including portrait, sports, pets...

A point and shoot for professional results
Review of Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 by
stevieray
Advantages: Build quality & X10 zoom
Disadvantages: Heavy and thirsty on battery life.
...Like all point and shoot cameras the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 has it's limitations, but in my opinion that is a good selling point. As a professional photographer I sometimes need the simplicity of a P&S to help capture a moment without over complicating it with loads of hi-tec equipment.
The DCM-TZ3 is one of the easiest cameras I have ever used and the image quality is easily good enough for anything the home user would need and more. I took one of these on a trip to South America recently and I'm earning money from those picures already.
The 7.2 megapixel sensor means you can print up to poster size photos with good definition and the X10 zoom lens is remarkable for a camera that can still fit in your pocket. The dials are dead easy to use and it also has video with sound.
Yes it's a little heavy, but this is due to a good build...

Panasonic Lumic TZ3
Review of Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 by

Advantages: Big LCD Screen, 10 x Optical Zoom, 7.2 Mega Pixels
Disadvantages: A little heavy
...This is a great camera. In the past I've owned Sony Cybershots which have been very good but the Panasonic is a step above.
Not many cameras for this price range offer 10x Optical Zoom & 7.2 Megapixels unless you go for an SLR. I got this camera for £150 off Amazon about 4 months ago and am very happy with the purchase. One major benefit is the LCD screen on the back which is massive. There are countless functions with this camera including 2 favourite picture settings. This allows you to save default picture settings so that you can quickly take a photo before your subject has upped & left. I'm not a Camera Boffin so needed a camera where you can take photos without reading a massive manual beforehand. This camera is ideal for someone who wants good picture quality without paying through the nose....

Wonderful Camera-10x opt. zoom-yet small
Review of Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ1 by
Rienchen
Advantages: 10x optical zoom, OIS
Disadvantages: large file size when taking video
...Previously to this Camera I owned the Panasonic LZ3 so when I accidentally dropped that camera breaking the lens, I knew that I would purchase another Panasonic as I had been in love with my old camera.
I know the Panasonics are not all that small and don't fit easily into a woman's pants pocket, but you can't expect such a small size with a 10x optical zoom.
I based my decision to buy this camera on the following functions:
*10x optical Zoom
*Optical Image Stabilizer (taking pictures of 2 year old twins can be a challenge as they rarely hold still, but thanks to O.I.S. I haven't had many blurred photos)
*movie recording mode with sound
*ability to zoom in and out while filming
I use it mostly as a 'point and shoot' and rarely change the settings. But I go to lots of concerts and love the fact that this camera takes quite good...

Panasonic Classic Phone WOW
Review of Panasonic GD90 by
matty168
Advantages: Light, Nice finish
Disadvantages: Battery life
...I bought this phone sim free back in 2001 from a local mobile phone shop for a bargain price of £50. I found the phone very appealing due to the fact that it only weighs 88 grams and the fact that it was a Panasonic phone which was very slim and the nice glossy finish on it.
This phone was available to buy in 2 colours, the blue or silver finish.
.It has a very small and lightweight battery and is very slim too
I found it was very easy to get used to using the phone due to its simple menu interface.
There was an innovative feature on this phone whereby you could change the background display colour too into orange and green which was nice. Talk time and reception quality were both excellent too as well as the very lightweight charger.
Drawbacks include that it doesn't have many features such as predictable text input unlike...

Best camera in its class
Review of Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ3 by
fogdonkey
Advantages: durable and easy to use with sylish design
Disadvantages: no viewfinder only an lcd screen
...the key reason for blurry pictures when a zoom is used. I recently used this camera at live earth and took pictures of the stage from the other end of the stadium, using full zoom. I have to say that the stability control was a saviour for my photos. i came away with some cracking pictures.
The unit uses sd cards so its cheap to get additional memory, the build is great and the design is all that you would expect from panasonic. There are so many cameras about at the moment that it is hard to decide which one to go for, but this is arguably the best in its class and offers featurs normally only found on models in much higher price brackets.
this is a top camera, at a great price. i would certainly say its the best out there!...
