Panasonic sc pt450 WOW WOW WOW
Review of Panasonic SC PT450 by
liamwhitney
Advantages: Superior power (1000watts), stylish, HDMI upscaling, AV inputs
Disadvantages: None
...there was no distortion just clear crisp quality sound.
The sony was close but it only has 850 watts where the Pansonic boasts a massive 1000 watts this factor sold it to me in the first place the samsung only has 800 and the phillips 600 so on power the panasonic by far
The very helpful man in currys played a dvd through them all and again the Panasonic stood out for the sharpest picture through the impressive 1080i HDMI upscaling feature, this system also has av inputs so you can watch your Sky/Virgin tv and play the sound in Surround sound even the Sony doesnt do this, the phillips does BUT can you really sacrafice a massive 400watt power loss by not having the panasonic
This will truely be the best £150-£200 you will ever spend for a complete home theatre experience trust me you will not be dissapointed, a really exciting addition to any Plasma/ LCD...

Surround Sound
Review of Panasonic - Panasonic Home Theatre Sound System by
rjpickett
Advantages: Five disk mulitplayer, multi function DVD player, no londer any need for a hi fi, the size of a video
Disadvantages: With my video, digital cable tv box and DVD player I had to buy a new TV cabinet
...I recently purchased the Panasonic Home theatre System, with full surround sound and DVD player. It has a 5 disk multi changer, radio, tv, vcr and aux inputs. I comes with 5 quality speakers and sub woofer, which for their small size give an excellent sound quality. I have actually for the front stereo left and right bought two Tannoy floor mounted speakers. I must say it is like being at the cinema with full surround sound. Seeing and hearing this product is believing. I was convinced to buy this product when I watch the BMW scene in the car park from the James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies. You see it at full volume and maximum bass, and you'll want the system....

Decent player
Review of Panasonic DVD-A105 by
jswhite
Advantages: DVD - THe best entertainment!
Disadvantages: Basic
...This player is basic but quality. Mine has served me well and I can fully recommend it. The player can also be upgraded by a third party to allow it to play multiregion DVDs, but this must be done via the installation of a mod-chip. Some may prefer to buy a budget player which can have this facility via a "remote hack". I would say that a first time DVD buyer should seriously consider this Panasonic product.
The remote control unit could have been designed a little nicer, but this is a minimal gripe and probably doesn't affect the recommendation that much anyway!...

Excellent Plasma
Review of Panasonic TH-42PX70 by
psilk
Advantages: Stylish, excellent picture and very good price
Disadvantages: Digital sources are better viewed through matching DVD recorder
...Stylish looking TV especially when paired with the panasonic stand.
After considering whether to but LCD or Plasma went for plasma after seeing how unwatchable a water skier was on LCD. the plasma screens where so much smoother an panasonic is a leader in its field.
The TV comes with 2 HDMI sockets, 2 Scarts and a composite input which is pretty good. It doesn't have the SD slot of the next model up but no huge loss but does have the Viera link to panasonic DVD recorders which simplifies operation immensely
It's easy to install and set up and the picture quality is amazing, vivid colours and deep rich blacks. Although not full HD, most people would never know the difference and quality on SD is pretty good too. Sky works very well but I have found that the terrestrial digital channels are better viewed from a matching panasonic DVD...

Performance at a bargain price
Review of Panasonic DMRES10 by
mashpuma
Advantages: Excellent picture and sound quality at the price
Disadvantages: Set up can be complex
...I was looking for a good quality dvd recorder at a budget price to record purely from my Sky digital box. The recommendation in What Hi Fi steered me to the Panasonic in preference to a similarly priced Sony. (I paid about £150 in January 2006, but now priced at around £120 or less).
The set up took me a couple of evenings to fathom out, as I needed to include my Sky digital box in the configuration. As usual it was a combination two problems that was causing the confusion - incorrect Scart lead connections and not setting the Panasonic to "see" my Sky box. Once thsi was sorted, and using quality Scart leads which I would always recommend (QED P2110), I was extremely pleased with ethe recording and playback performance of the Panasonic, with the playback quality on DVD - RAM being almost indistinguishable from the original broadcast...

Panasonic Portable DVD player Review.
Review of Panasonic DVD-LS 80 by
phil124lufc
Advantages: Great if you work away.
Disadvantages: Battery life
...The Panasonic LS80-K is quit a stylish little portable DVD player with its black interior and silver housing this looks the business. And not only does it look the business but it is and I can gladly say that the Panasonic LS80-K portable DVD player also delivers. Perfect for those who live on the move a lot such as contract workers or truck drivers. But you don't have to live on the move to appreciate owning one of these I for instance have used it on many occasions when on long fishing or camping trips. I must admit that not all my fishing trips are packed with activity so this is good to keep you entertained.
Some of the main features include an 8.5 inch LCD screen, with DVD player which can play DVD-R, DVD+RW, DVD+R, DVD-RAM. The Panasonic LS80-K will also play all of your DivX films as well as JPEG, VCD and most other media...

brilliant picture quality
Review of Panasonic DVD-RV 20 by
richie_salter
Advantages: picture quality is superb
Disadvantages: lack of audio outputs
...I spent 3 month looking through magazines trying to fine the best dvd player that I could get for around £250. After hours of looking around in loads of different electrical stores i decided on the panasonic rv20, the main reason I chose this is because of the picture quality, there are dvd players out there for the same price with a load more options, but in my endless search I saw £600 pound players with play back no were near as good as this. All flesh tones look spot on not the funny green that you get with some players, even on older tv's you can not beat the picture quality. As with all panasonic dvd players it comes with the easiest of on screen menus allowing easy access to other audio tracks picture angles and all other dvd features. I suppose the only draw backs to this dvd player are the lack of audio outputs, it has...

Short Review
Review of Panasonic DMR-EZ 27 by
Martyn79
Advantages: EP 8 Hour recording compatability
Disadvantages: Poor Programming and DVD record Quality
...This has to be one in the top ten of worst purchases ever, the Panasonic DMR-EZ 27, is just poor quality for today's market, chapter creation is poor, the overall recording is very poor to say the least, and the menus, including the TV guide for free view, look like something from the dark ages, like the old BBC Square computers some of us had at school.
I think Panasonic have thrown this one together, the colour and design is quite nice, but I think more though should have been applied, been the owner of a previous Panasonic, I also noticed that they have removed some of the easy to use features, like saving titles so you don't have to keep retyping every time you record another one of your favourite episodes etc...
Overall I would give these DVD Recorders 4/10 marks....

Panasonic DMR ES20D
Review of Panasonic DMRES20D by
lastraider
Advantages: Records FreeView Channels and still watch Freeview on your set top box or Cable
Disadvantages: Its not one of the smallest DVD recorder or Player ever made
...The Panasonic DVD recorder is easy to set up. It took about 5 minutes to get it up and running which is great for those people who have problems setting up electronic equipment. I brought this model of DVD recorder was because it allowed you to record from freeview, and watch another freeview channel, as I always had to watch the same channel that I was recording but now this is a thing of a past. I find basic operation is simple to use. But I would say that the menus could do with being more simplified. So if you are scared of computers this may not be the one for you.
I brought this DVD recorder to replace an old panasonic VCR. I found the transistion from panasonic DVD recorder from VCR very easy as all the programing is done the same. I do like the guide button. You press this button and you get a 5 day guide of all of what...

Entry level DVD recorders don't have to be nasty
Review of Panasonic DMRES10 by
cootuk
Advantages: Price dropped recently, solid build, good reviews, easy to use
Disadvantages: Soon to be discontinued?
...Having used VHS for years, we decided it is time to get with the times and buy a dvd recorder. Looking at reviews it seems that many machines under £120 are either of dubious build quality and longevity, or exhibit poor visual anomalies in their recordings. The Panasonic DMRES10 has always been reviewed as being a sturdy machine, but overpriced at £200.
It has recently fallen to around £120 online. Even the local Panasonic shop has reduced them to £130. In the last week it has also been deleted from the Panasonic online shop, which leads me to think it may be phased out soon? For £120 this is a quality entry-level dvd recorder.
The Panasonic is based mainly on the DVD -R t-RW RAM technologies (I believe DVD +R is also supported, but I haven't tried that yet), has two rear scarts fully RGB wired for pin21 switching, rear component out...
