Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5 - A camera to last you years

...Having always been a bit of a cheap and cheerful camera buyer, I was a bit nervous spending nearly double what I'd usually spend on a camera. This camera has proved to be beyond value for money though! The Lumix DMC-TZ5 is a 9.1 megapixel, with a wide angle lens and boasts an awesome 10X optical zoom. It's also a remarkable easy camera to use, a lot of time has gone into setting up the intelligent auto function (which is the main setting you'll use), that means the camera works out what type of photo your taking, adjust for light and does pretty much everything a photographer does (all be it not to the same level of expertise) as you take the photo, meaning amazing shots ever time. Handling and feel. top marks for these, it is a cool looking camera, and very useful for taking with you. That aside it is hardly what you purchase a camera for in the first instance. Quality and results quality and results show very poor performance which tends to rival those cameras that you would expect to pay around £50.00 for. whilst panasonic is certainly a leading name in electronics, Lieca is a leading name in optics. ...I recently bought this camera as an upgrade for my more older 3MP camera, and i was very stunned by its quality of pictures. its boasts a stunning 3 inch LCD screen, which is just perfect for a camera of this size. the camera comes with a leica lens capable of shooting beautifull wide angle pictures. This Camera only weighs only 143 grams. The camera is a great entry level camera and is great for taking those everyday pictures. At full image resolution the camera has an average ISO of around 1600, alowing darker pictures to be more clear. i would recomend this camera to anyone looking to upgrade from an old 3/4MP camera to this stunning piece of technology. Advantages: 25mm lens is amazing, light and retro - looks professional

...This is my 2nd Panasonic Lumix camera and I am delighted with the updated version. I ALWAYS get compliments for this camera. I know alot of keen Photographers who are astonished at the good quality of the depth of field in the photos. The large screen is great benefit to make sure your photos are the best they can be. The 25mm WIDE lens is amazing and gives your photos a really professional frame to them. I think PANASONIC has combined great value for a LEICA lens. I have looked at buying a LEICA camera but they are way more money. I love the retro look of the black version. I bought my Mother the Silver version and she loves hers.
