Panasonic PT AX 100 E

Advantages: Works in relatively bright conditions, quiet
Disadvantages: unreliable, very big, short bulb life

...Updated review. I have been using the Panasonic PT AX 100E as my main TV, in conjunction with a freeview box and a DVD player, for just over a year now. I paid £900 for it then, but the price has dropped and even the improved PT AX200 can now be bought for about £700. The reason for the low rating is because of it's unreliability and Panasonic's inability to fix it when it went wrong, as described below. In all other respects it is a very good projector. The picture quality is extremely good in a dark room and quite watchable during the day even with the curtains open for all but the darkest movies. In bright conditions the colours can become a little washed-out although there are various viewing options on the remote control to compensate a little. For some very dark films however you should wait until the room can be blacked out...

Panasonic SC-PT460

Advantages: Great Sound and picture quality
Disadvantages: Only Ipod mp3 works (mainly), unclear instruction manual

...I wanted an upconverting Panasonic DVD to go with my Panasonic 32lxd700 LCD, as I didn't want to pay the premium for a Blu-ray player that at present don't look, in my opinion, that much better than standard DVD's. I chose this model as it seemed good value with the extra surround-sound and MP3 capabilities. The Good Points; The picture is excellent. The sound is excellent, once you've worked-out the settings. It adds extra bite to the soundtrack and can make you jump out of your seat when you least suspect it.The remote is small and easy to use. It's great value, with the amount of features available. The Annoying Points;- The instructions are not too clear when setting the sound up i.e a few of the buttons have three different functions. Why not just add seperate buttons? If you don't have an i-pod, your mp3 might...

Panasonic sc pt450 WOW WOW WOW

Advantages: Superior power (1000watts), stylish, HDMI upscaling, AV inputs
Disadvantages: None

...I bought this Home cinema system from curry's about 1 month ago, I paid £149.99 it has since gone back up to £189.99. After exstensive searching to find the right system for my money which was a choice between the panasonic, a sony, a samsung or a phillips to say the least I was a little torn in my decision they all offered value for money. I decided to go for the Panasonic to my delight I rushed home to try it out and I was disapointed with my choice as I had to return it the next day due to it being faulty. I was discouraged from getting the same model, however after speaking to a member of staff in curry's he played all the systems I was interested in and to say the least the Panasonic stood out imensly. The sound quality was by far superior to all the rest in this price bracket even turned up to maximum volume there was no...

Panasonic Lumix FS7

Advantages: Perfect picture
Disadvantages: None

...I have just replaced my Fuji fine pix with another camera, and whilst buying my boyfriend bought himself a Lumix FS7 which I am now regretting not getting for myself. Always the way, but whenever I go shopping for something electrical, some guy in a suit always sways me towards something different. Which I should really learn from and just buy online, its usually cheaper anyway. The Panasonic Lumix FS7 Digital camera comes in a range of different colours; it cost £130 which for a 10.1 Megapixel camera was pretty good and the deal we got meant that a free case came with it as well as an additional memory card. So there were no qualms on the price. 10.1 Megapixels Right away we was impressed with the quality of the images this camera was taking, I also test the pictures out on phones and cameras by taking one scenic photo, a photo...

Panasonic Lumix TZ6, Versatile compact with great image quality

Advantages: Fantastic little camera with 12 x zoom & 10.1MP (better than TZ5), but cheaper than TZ7
Disadvantages: No HD movie mode, not very cheap

...The Panasonic Lumix TZ6 is a great little camera that I have used to compliment my large DSLR (a Nikon D90 I have also reviewed), which is too big and expensive to be taken everywhere. Specification The TZ6 is compact camera with 10.1 MP, which is plenty of pixels for all but the larger prints and harshest crops. This means that in normal conditions there will never be pixelation, in fact too many megapixels squashed onto a sensor can actually reduce the image quality. The most important feature of this camera is the 12x zoom, 25mm wide angle, Leica lens. Leica is a quality brand, and this lens is no exception, it produces quality images and the lens slides out of the camera quickly and smoothly. There is no lens cap, but slide across covers, as in most other digital compacts. Design For such a versatile camera, it is...

Review of Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ6

Panasonic Lumix TZ6 - metal-bodied compact zoom

Advantages: Sturdiness, Ease of use, Autofocus Tracking
Disadvantages: Overshadowed by the TZ7, Tries to do everything for you

...I always find it a little strange when a company releases two similar models at the same time, especially when the price difference is only around £40. The Panasonic Lumix TZ6 and TZ7 are similar stable-mates, with the TZ7 being the superior of the two. Having said that, the extra features of the TZ7 are things I can quite comfortably live without, such as the superior video capability with stereo sound, an HDMI output, and the ability of the camera to recognise up to 15 of your friends when they appear in a picture. Why would I want that? I don't have 15 friends - and even if I did, I'm sure I could remember them myself! The TZ6 is aimed at people who want to take nice pictures but don't really want to know how those pictures are achieved. Almost everything is designed to be automatic and intuitive, and there is some pretty...

I Admit It, I'm A Panasonic Loaf Lover!

Advantages: Gorgeous bread, easy to make, easy to use, cheap bread, healthier
Disadvantages: Initial outlay but worth the investment.

...We were bought a Delonghi bread maker for Christmas but found that when we opened it, it felt like a piece of cheap tat? certainly not something I'd have thought would be the case with a Delonghi product. I had a look on the Argos website and spotted that the Panasonic SD255 machine had a brilliant 5/5 star rating and was selling at £97.89 - only approximately £5 more than the cost of the Delonghi one, so we exchanged the Delonghi machine for the Panasonic one and are so glad we did; I shall proceed to tell you why. Firstly, it's so easy to operate? I was very apprehensive that I'd end up choosing the wrong settings thus making brick loaves that tasted awful or were completely inedible; it's for this reason that my first couple of loaves were made from shop bought bread mixes so that I'd have less chance of messing them up. Those...

Fantastic sounds all around from my surround!

Advantages: Great sound and price
Disadvantages: Looks a bit dated and remote fiddly

...in an era when TVs, DVD players and Home theatre systems are slipping back into the "black shiny" look and feel, the retro feel Panasonic PT-150 is a sure winner with me. Reason for purchase. After setting up my old fireplace as a "hole in the wall" entertainment system, I experienced one major problem with my Sony surround sount system. It stopped working. Reason being that old soot and debris had fallen down the chimney and filtered through the air vents into the workings and shorted it out! Not to be put off my my idea, i fixed the falling soot problem (expensive lesson!) and set out to buy a replacement Surround sound that fitted with the room and matched the other items. This would need it to be Silver in colour, the same width dimensions as the Sony ( to fit on the mounts) and thin in height (to fit in the narrow clearance...

Great picture , great TV. TX47 PT1 and PT10

Advantages: Picture quality stunning, panasonic auto size brill.
Disadvantages: no external speakers supplied, only one RGB scart [4 AV total]

...function of a TV is the Picture !!! and this one gets 5 stars !!! [sounds ok too], read 'What Tv and Video' Apr 1999 review [got 5 stars then and they still give it's replacment 5 stars ]. The newer TX47 PT10 replaced it in 2002 and uses the same picture tubes, so thats saying something about the quality of the electronics. Main features that make this TV shine are: 100Hz [no flicker] picture, Digital picture noise reduction [ no grain], non-reflective 47 inch screen, high picture quality even in a brightly lit room, An extra wide viewing angle (160° horizontal and 86° vertical),and mutch more !!!! To conclude: if i was buying today, I would still put this TV in my top 5 !!! [ 4 years on ]....

Pan-a-Sonic come up trumps

Advantages: Picture, Sound, Price, Connectivity
Disadvantages: Not quite the best

...**Introduction** You may have read my previous review which was of my Denon Mini System which I have in my bedroom. Well Another electrical product which I recently bought is the subject for my next review. The Panasonic TX-P37X10. I had been very fond of my fantastic Panasonic CRT Television but seeing as the prices of new plasmas and lcd televisions have come down recently I thought it was about time that I spent my extra online income on something that would look pride of place in my living room. Having looked around at a number of different televisions, there were three that stood out to me. They were Toshiba, Samsung and of course Panasonic. Having looked at several televisions from the manufacturers These are the top three in my opinion. **The Plasma** Once I had decided on a 37inch television and had eventually chosen...
