Panasonic TH-42PX70
Advantages: Good value, good image quality
Disadvantages: Sound quality is probably the major disappointment here, not a true 1080p screen
...the general consensus is that for 42" and above in size - to still go for plasma over LCD technology and that Panasonic and Pioneer were at the front of the fiend. The Pioneers models are generally a bit more expensive so I chose the panasonic. An excellent feature is the 10000:1 contrast levels - the screen always looks bright and images tend to look sharper because of this.
Having compared many TVs before purchase, this tv was selected as it is excellent at displaying whatever signal you input - e.g. digital tv, even analogue looks quite good, dvds are shown very well evem via scart and hd signal via HDMI is phenomenal. Surpisingly, many of the plasma and LCD tvs available are not especially good at displaying normal digital TV (not HD). This panasonic does a very good job of this (but I still think the images still look poorer than they did...

Panasonic TH-42PX60EN
Advantages: Cheap, Great Picture
Disadvantages: No Upscaler, NOt Full HD only 720p
...This Plasma HDTV I have had for a year now and it has not let me down yet. Now I would like to analyse the TV so that the rest of you are convinced on purchasing one..
DESIGN
Firstly I would like to say about the design now; it looks fantastic I just love the colour and the sleek design. Now you might be wondering where the hell is the speakers? Well its right under the Panasonic label hidden away under the silver colour. I didn't notice it myself until a few weeks when dust got on it and I was able to see the grills (Speaker holes). I think this is pretty good as you don't have to worry about the speaker making the TV look bad like a lot of TV's I've seed with ugly speakers. All I can say it this saved me a lot of as my living room would not have enough space to have a 42" with speakers on the side. Now the screen of the TV...

PANASONIC TH42PX60B 42" Plasma TV
Advantages: Amazing picture quality, HD Ready, NICAM stereo sound, stylish stand.
Disadvantages: No back to the stand which makes it hard to conceal inflexible scart leads.
...Stereo, which is clean and crisp. It also has a built in digital receiver which means you get about 25 'freeview' channels (depending on your coverage).
The only disappointing thing about buying the latest technology is that it is never the latest for long! In a couple of months it will have gone down in price £££s and they'll be a new model to replace it. Irritating but unavoidable!
All in all this is a great TV and I can't see anybody who buys one regretting it. It's great to watch the sport on! In my opinion Panasonic are one of the better TV manufacturers.
Splash the cash and enjoy!...

PANASONIC TH42PX60B 42" HD Ready Digital Plasma TV
Advantages: Picture, sound, reliability
Disadvantages: Heavy
...The PANASONIC TH42PX60B is built like a tank. If you want a TV that's not going to let you down go for a Panasonic. I chose Plasma for it's movie smoothness and acurate shadow detailing. This TV is is fantastic in every way. Even the built in sound is such a high standard, I have a £5500 hi-fi that I run the consoles and PC through but for watching TV the speakers really are up to the task, decent reproduction. It has built in freeview, 2 HDMI sockets, 3 scarts, component and a PC input as well as audio inputs. I have mine on the pedestal stand which is really neat and tidy. The TV is VERY heavy (as plasmas are). It handles 720P and 1080I. As a Media Centre display in my lounge its running 1280 X 720 beautifully, the only thing is that being a plasma the screen temporarily burns in icons etc if you play games for a long period. This is...

Stylish, good value 42 inch TV
Advantages: Size, picture quality, quite stylish
Disadvantages: None found
...This is a great TV. Whilst it feels a luxurious size, it is practical and easy to use. When wall mounted, it is also more subtle than you might imagine, well when off anyway!
It is hard to make a TV beautiful ,but the designers at Panasonic have done their best and the TH 42 PX 70 is bevel edged, with black framing of the screen so it does manage to look reasonably elegant.
The main feature is of course the screen. In my opinion, this size fits well into a living room. It is a bit of a focal point, but does not dominate the room too much.
The resolution is excellent. The picture is clear and detailed (737280 pixels), with good colour balance. Clarity is good, even in poor atmospheric conditions (I live in the sticks). The picture also looks natural and less harsh than on some TVs that I have seen. The flat screen reduces...

Review of a Panasonic TH-42pz81B
Advantages: good with Xbox console
Disadvantages: price
...Review of a Panasonic TH-42pz81B
Not a bad bit of plasma kit, a bit expensive but with panasonic you pay for the name,
The picture very good, blacks a quite decent, glare of the screen is very low, in High Def full 1080p the picture is very sharp and coulorful, movies are cool like being in the cinema but without the idoit eating skittles next to you. Sound quality is good but if your paying this for a TV you can afford home Cinema system.
I found unlike My Lg 42inch plasma this TV works really well with Xbox360 and Playstation 3 console, well up there with LCD for gaming.
Good HDMI connection and other ports, would recommend this TV, the only way your going to get anything better is to stump up sony prices...

Panasonic Plasma TV - 42 inch Viera One Glass
Advantages: Too many to list
Disadvantages: pricey
...When looking for TV's these days, it helps to have research done as what the TV's are all about these days, what you get for your money, and how technically minded you are,
Today, you either get Plasma or LCD with most of the old Cathode Ray Tubes(CRTs) phased out.
One such model is PZ800B model 42 inch made by Panasonic. This range of TV is claimed to be the top of the award winning VIERA range from Panasonic. If you do not want to comprimise on quality, then believe this is the TV you want to go for.
SIZE
This model is 42 inch and also available in 50 inch. So when choosing any TV, make sure it fits! Unless of course you hang with a wall bracket on the wall.
APPEARANCE
Panasonic call this design 'one sheet of glass' and boy you can really appreciate it when you place it on the purpose built stand...

Panasonic TH37PX70 CAB
Advantages: Excellent Picture Quality, Very good sound.
Disadvantages: Disappointed with the overall quality of manufacture
...After having major problems (as did many other owners) with the previous model, the px60, Panasonic agreed to exchange the TV for the new black PX70 model, although I didn't think it looked as good as the previous model, which was silver, as long as it worked ok I was happy.
For 12months and 1 week, it was fine, until vertical lines appeared on the screen, after a bit of checking on the internet, I found that many owners had the same problem, and the repair required a new screen!
After speaking to Empire Direct, who sold me the TV, they agreen to carry out the repair as the warranty was only 1 week over it's 12 months. The repair was done, and, touch wood, the Tv has been fine ever since.
The picture quality is fantastic, and far superior to LCD models I have had, much darker, more detailed blacks; excellent picture from any angle...

Panasonic TH-42PWD7 Plasma
Advantages: Good Picture Quality, Easy To Use, Well built
Disadvantages: Not High Definition
...This is a great television on the whole. But if you are considering buying it, then there is one crucial thing that I must point out. Panasonic has designed this television to have the ability to select the inputs that you want. So if you want a scart and a HDMI input, then you buy the boards and slot them in. Many shops will offer this television with preinstalled inputs, but I noticed that the majority of shops offer the television without any boards fitted. The VGA input is built into the tv (VGA is for connecting to PC).
So what do the boards cost? Well it really depends upon the input you want, but from major retailers you can expect to pay anywhere from £50-£150. The boards are really easy to install, but access to them at the back of the television is a bit limited. There are four screws that you need to remove to remove...
