...This is a cut down, and slightly biased review on the absolute monster Plasma Television, made by Panasonic. Although I am not one for the latest technology, I am in lust with this beauty! I do not actually own one of these outright, but I have the use of one on a regular basis. I feel I am well qualified to review, and recommend this brilliant product. Panasonic TX-37LZD81 with built in Freesat

Advantages: Excellent picture and sound, built in Freesat, user friendly

...I searched for weeks trying to find an LCD TV that would fit our lifestyle and settled on the 37" Panasonic with Freesat built in. We have only had it for a month or so but it is everything I could have hoped for. It has a lovely picture and nicam sound and the 37" is just right for our smaller room. There is a good range of free programmes and we can still access Freeserve to watch Dave and the other range of shows not listed on Freesat. With no monthly subscription to pay what more can one ask? The controls are easy to use and set up took no time at all. There are multiple plug- ins to enable computer use and viewing from cameras and of course DVDs etc. We were lucky in that we got a free dish installation when we bought it from Comet but if anyone already has a dish it should work just as well. Advantages: Deep blacks, no 'smearing', standard definition upscaling is brilliant

...Forget LCD!! I purchased this Panasonic Plasma TH37PX60E last year ( 2006 ) and have been nothing short of amazed at the performance of the set. Hook up a standard defintion digibox through the RGB scart terminal and the set will upscale the picture with top class results while reducing the smearing (associated with LCD\'s) and pixelization. HDTV or upscaled DVD pictures through the HDMI terminals are out of this world without colours being overbearing or unrealistic. Those of you with technical knowledge will understand that deep blacks are essential for quality viewing and with a contrast ratio of 10000:1 the TH37PX60E really excels, blacks really are black. 42 Inches Of Pure Pleasure!

Advantages: Amazing quality images, lots of features, looks great.
Disadvantages: We weren't quite ready to pay out for a new TV.

Disadvantages: Disappointed with the overall quality of manufacture

...After having major problems (as did many other owners) with the previous model, the px60, Panasonic agreed to exchange the TV for the new black PX70 model, although I didn't think it looked as good as the previous model, which was silver, as long as it worked ok I was happy. For 12months and 1 week, it was fine, until vertical lines appeared on the screen, after a bit of checking on the internet, I found that many owners had the same problem, and the repair required a new screen! After speaking to Empire Direct, who sold me the TV, they agreen to carry out the repair as the warranty was only 1 week over it's 12 months. The repair was done, and, touch wood, the Tv has been fine ever since. The picture quality is fantastic, and far superior to LCD models I have had, much darker, more detailed blacks; excellent picture from any angle...

Panasonic nearly perfect as usual

...The Panasonic Viera is truly a great TV, and as usual, I had looked around many review websites before I finally settled on this product. It really is 42 inches of viewing pleasure, especially with it being 1080p, which really gives a crisp and clear picture. For all the techies out there who love the specifications, it comes with 2 scart inputs and 3 HDMI inputs and a contrast ratio of 30000:1 which makes it ideal for those that like to hook their xBox up to the television. The television itself is extremely easy to set up and is very stylish in appearance and the colour reproduction and black levels are second to none, it genuinely is an excellent television.
