* The PANASONIC Viera Duckworth likes. . .

Advantages: Brill picture, brill sound. Flat as a pancake.
Disadvantages: Price!!!

...Panasonic (also Technics) are both brand names of Matsushita Electric Industrial Company Ltd. of Japan, one of the World's largest consumer electronics manufacturers, and ranked third on the Fortune 500 Electronics & Electrical Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. Ltd, also established a number of manufacturing plants and the company now employs around 4,000 people in the UK. Size matters - 50 inches remember, the screen is measured diagonally. It is of course HD ready. The average sized remote control is a doddle to use. (I was half expecting it to be as big as a keyboard) The weight is just under 40 Kgs, Panasonic UK was established in 1972. Website is http://www.panasonic.co.uk/ You can even phone them direct on 0870 535 7357 The Company headquarters are at :- Panasonic House Willoughby Road Bracknell Berkshire...

Panasonic Plasma TV - 42 inch Viera One Glass

Advantages: Too many to list
Disadvantages: pricey

...(needed for optimal HD experience) eg HDMI cables, bluray, stands, cinema sound, your budget will go well over £1600. However, we tried both Comet and Curry's and both were willing to knock down package price by well of £150. This TV is a brilliant TV, one of the best items ever used by me. We now really enjoy watching TV on the larger screen. HD AVAILABILITY Oh yes, one thing I forgot to mention. Most channels are not available on HD, and if they are most of them (SKY HD and Virgin) are on 1080i. You will of course notice a better picture, but after paying for a SKY HD box and then a monthly subscription, you think is it really worth it, especially when compared to the Bluray output.quality. However, the beauty of the Panasonic Viera range over other models such as the Samsung and Sony, is the fact that normal SKY...

Panasonic nearly perfect as usual

Advantages: excellent picture, lots of inputs and very stylish
Disadvantages: not great sound

...The Panasonic Viera is truly a great TV, and as usual, I had looked around many review websites before I finally settled on this product. It really is 42 inches of viewing pleasure, especially with it being 1080p, which really gives a crisp and clear picture. For all the techies out there who love the specifications, it comes with 2 scart inputs and 3 HDMI inputs and a contrast ratio of 30000:1 which makes it ideal for those that like to hook their xBox up to the television. The television itself is extremely easy to set up and is very stylish in appearance and the colour reproduction and black levels are second to none, it genuinely is an excellent television. The only slight downside is that the sound isnt amazing from the television speakers, but this is to be expected i suppose - you really need to invest in a good surround...

Panasonic HDC-SD20, great compact HD camcored for less then $600

Advantages: Some great features are the optical image stabilization and Intelligent Auto (iA) technology.
Disadvantages: Microphone is not in a very good place.

...The Panasonic HDC-SD20 This is a great compact high definition camcorder for the price. The small design allows for easy travel, it can fit in your purse, a large pocket and doesn't take up much room in your luggage when going on vacation. Very light weight only 270g, made of plastic, in my opinion it looks a little cheep. However here are some great details: Full HD 1080 resolution (1920 x 1080) Has a HDMI input that allows you to connect to your HDTV so you can view your footage. You can also use the USB cable to transfer your video to your computer. This model has a 16X ( optical) zoom lens and a 40x - 1000x (digital zoom) along with Optical (lens based) Image Stabilization, great for filming objects from a distance. The LCD screen s 2.7" and is touch screen. Once I started playing around with features and got use...

Panasonic Lumix TZ6, Versatile compact with great image quality

Advantages: Fantastic little camera with 12 x zoom & 10.1MP (better than TZ5), but cheaper than TZ7
Disadvantages: No HD movie mode, not very cheap

... There are very few other 12 x zoom compacts (I can only think of the Canon PowerShot SX200 IS), so the Panasonic Lumix TZ range pretty much has the market to itself. The TZ6 has the advantage over the TZ5 with and extra 1 megapixel and 2 x zoom, as well as a slightly different styling. As far as I have seen the TZ6 is not thatmuch more expensive than the TZ5, so I found it worth getting the newer model. The TZ7 is the most recent release in the series and is almost exactly the same as the TZ6 both with 10.1 MP and 12x zoom - having seen them together in a shop, they look like carbon copies. The main difference on the TZ7 is the new HD movie mode, which is a feature I would like, but I can't justify spending a significant amount extra for this one feature, as still image quality is the most important aspect for me. The only other improvement...

Pan-a-Sonic come up trumps

Advantages: Picture, Sound, Price, Connectivity
Disadvantages: Not quite the best

...Panasonic, I looked at the various Plasma and LCD screens which were available at various prices between £350 odd to over £1000. This particular television set me back £489.99 from Amazon which although not the cheapest I found, it was a great deal with free delivery which arrived just two days after I had bought the television. This Plasma is of course a HD Ready television which I will go into what that means in a little while but This is one of the most highly regarded 37 inch Televisions around the £500 mark. **HD Ready** This like many other Plasma Televisions is what you call HD Ready which for you ciao members who are not quite sure what this really means it basically lets you know that It will show programs in High Definition but at the lower 1080i instead of the 1080p which you will find on the "Full HD" screens. All new televisions...

Panasonic Lumix FS7

Advantages: Perfect picture
Disadvantages: None

...I have just replaced my Fuji fine pix with another camera, and whilst buying my boyfriend bought himself a Lumix FS7 which I am now regretting not getting for myself. Always the way, but whenever I go shopping for something electrical, some guy in a suit always sways me towards something different. Which I should really learn from and just buy online, its usually cheaper anyway. The Panasonic Lumix FS7 Digital camera comes in a range of different colours; it cost £130 which for a 10.1 Megapixel camera was pretty good and the deal we got meant that a free case came with it as well as an additional memory card. So there were no qualms on the price. 10.1 Megapixels Right away we was impressed with the quality of the images this camera was taking, I also test the pictures out on phones and cameras by taking one scenic photo, a photo...

HD pictures without monthly subsrciptions

Advantages: Excellent picture quality, intuitive epg, easy setup
Disadvantages: None

...I purchased this box initially for the Euro 2008 Matches which were shown on ITV HD as well as BBC HD. Upon opening the box, the first thing I noticed was how small the foxsat is. To give an idea I'd say it's 3/4 the size of a standard Sky digibox. The unit itself is supplied with the remote control, batteries, scart cable, component cable, and a reasonable quality HDMI cable. Connection of the box is very simple with just one connection to the satellite dish, mains plug and HDMI cable to your TV (assuming you are using a HD ready TV, which you should be if purchasing a HD receiver). After a small delay waiting for the box to boot up, the unit automatically searches for firmware updates and scans for all available channels. You have to enter your postcode during the setup process in order for the box to determine your...

Another great offering from Panasonic

Advantages: Great black levels, terrific contrast and detail, freesat tuner
Disadvantages: The sound is somewhat average

...Since last year I have truly discarded CRT's which despite their qualities truly lack in comparison to plasma tv's in the "wow factor". This becomes evident the moment you witness one of the better ones for yourself, and led to me purchasing a Panasonic of my own which was the Panasonic 37 PX80. However not to be outdone, a friend of mine recently purchased this television and I eagerly visited to see for myself this latest offering from Panasonic. Now as is standard with both LCD and Plasma we either of the choice of full HD or HD Ready. The former allows you to enjoy the resolution in sharper detail at 1920*1080p. This is something of a gimmick for the upscaling of typical television channels but really comes into it's own with hi definition signals which of course blu ray allows for. The latter can also be very impressive, but...

Panasonic DMR-EZ28

Advantages: Simple to use, easy to use, produces good recordings, looks ok.
Disadvantages: Not really any

...Was really impressed with this, Panasonic has always been one of the best in the business and this DVD recorder is no exception. Look and Design It's of a reasonable size and weight and fits easily into an average cabinet. It has width: 430mm, depth: 330mm and height: 59mm. It weighs 3.2 kg It isn't overly flashy and just looks like an average DVD player. But this also means it blends in quite well and doesn't contrast with anything. Function It's very easy to use with a simple and easy to navigate menu as well as a one click VIERA button on the included remote that just records the program you are currently watching. Playback is also very simple as is moving the recorded file to DVD. What's great about this DVD recorder is that it actually makes the recorded file better than the original broadcast producing amazing...
