Panasonic nearly perfect as usual

Advantages: excellent picture, lots of inputs and very stylish

...The Panasonic Viera is truly a great TV, and as usual, I had looked around many review websites before I finally settled on this product. It really is 42 inches of viewing pleasure, especially with it being 1080p, which really gives a crisp and clear picture. For all the techies out there who love the specifications, it comes with 2 scart inputs and 3 HDMI inputs and a contrast ratio of 30000:1 which makes it ideal for those that like to hook their xBox up to the television. The television itself is extremely easy to set up and is very stylish in appearance and the colour reproduction and black levels are second to none, it genuinely is an excellent television. The only slight downside is that the sound isnt amazing from the television speakers, but this is to be expected i suppose - you really need to invest in a good surround...

...consist of control with HDMI, off timer, volume correction, side panel, power save, power on preference. These are the settings for AV channels and HD channels but there is an alternative menu for TV channel which is Analogue/ Digital TV (freeview). I will just list the extra ones which are DVB setup menu, Owner ID and shipping conditions. DVB menu can be used to tune the channels also child lock is available. Owner ID is a security feature which stored your private details so that if it gets stolen it could be returned back to you. Finally shipping conditions is a feature which restores all default settings as if it was never used. Finally I would like to conclude that this is a VIREA series which is the latest of the Panasonic models and uses V-Real technology. ...Having recently purchased this television - it has encouraged me to write my first Ciao review. APPEARANCE: Its a good looking TV, shiny black edges and very flat - good for wall mounting. PS this tv does not come with a pedestal or wall mount - these have to be purchased separately. CONNECTIVITY: I found it to be a little licking in this. It has 2 HDMI, 2 Scart, Component inputs, Audio in and our as well as RF in and VGA. Although this is quite a range, I think that it could be better - S-VIDEO would have been nice. Newer panasonic models have an SD card slot - you can use this to view photos from your digital camera on the tv, but only if you use SD cards in the camera note, which is not the case for many of us. PICTURE QUALITY: Excellent - this is why I love Panasonic. Having asked many professionals before purchasing...

...Review of a Panasonic TH-42pz81B Not a bad bit of plasma kit, a bit expensive but with panasonic you pay for the name, The picture very good, blacks a quite decent, glare of the screen is very low, in High Def full 1080p the picture is very sharp and coulorful, movies are cool like being in the cinema but without the idoit eating skittles next to you. Sound quality is good but if your paying this for a TV you can afford home Cinema system. I found unlike My Lg 42inch plasma this TV works really well with Xbox360 and Playstation 3 console, well up there with LCD for gaming. Good HDMI connection and other ports, would recommend this TV, the only way your going to get anything better is to stump up sony prices...

1st Rate Cinematic Experience

Advantages: Sleek, Modern, Slim and Gorgeous

...I have the 42" version of the Viera which i think is large enough but if you have the mindset of 'the bigger the better' then you can get a bigger version.....but i digress. This is the 2nd Plasma which i have owned the previous being a Toshiba and I have to say this is by far a much greater television. The picture is flawless..you can get up close and still there are no faults..you all know that you go into a big store and see all the television sets and some are grainy, some have very bleak pictures but the Panasonic is luminous and of excellent quality.
