Panasonic Lumix TZ6, Versatile compact with great image quality

Advantages: Fantastic little camera with 12 x zoom & 10.1MP (better than TZ5), but cheaper than TZ7
Disadvantages: No HD movie mode, not very cheap

...The Panasonic Lumix TZ6 is a great little camera that I have used to compliment my large DSLR (a Nikon D90 I have also reviewed), which is too big and expensive to be taken everywhere. Specification The TZ6 is compact camera with 10.1 MP, which is plenty of pixels for all but the larger prints and harshest crops. This means that in normal conditions there will never be pixelation, in fact too many megapixels squashed onto a sensor can actually reduce the image quality. The most important feature of this camera is the 12x zoom, 25mm wide angle, Leica lens. In the car on the plane on a bus its there

Advantages: Portable and easy to understand
Disadvantages: The stick can be easily lost

...for the touch sreen, it is not that sharp but it must be kept away from childrens eyes and if the end is chewn then it will not stay in its slot and will probably get lost so be aware of that. But in my view it is very entertaining and can be brought on holiday for the plane or a car journey perhaps? But what ever it needs to be used for it is there and if it has low battery power you can buy a car charger that slots in to cigarrette lighters in cars. Disadvantages: Overshadowed by the TZ7, Tries to do everything for you

...I always find it a little strange when a company releases two similar models at the same time, especially when the price difference is only around £40. The Panasonic Lumix TZ6 and TZ7 are similar stable-mates, with the TZ7 being the superior of the two. Having said that, the extra features of the TZ7 are things I can quite comfortably live without, such as the superior video capability with stereo sound, an HDMI output, and the ability of the camera to recognise up to 15 of your friends when they appear in a picture. Why would I want that? I don't have 15 friends - and even if I did, I'm sure I could remember them myself! Advantages: blu ray superior picture and sound quality. 1000 watts
Disadvantages: only 3 speakers

...I tested this out in shop and it sounded excellent. I bought it and it sounds 10 times better in my lounge. The 1000 watts power fills room with clear powerful sound. The music special fx and speech is crystal clear. It has a whisper mode so even at lower volumes the sound is perfect. This is a blu ray player and picture quality is beautiful. It will also up grade old dvds to higher quality. This is true they are better pictures but not that much different. The best aspect of this system is ability to create blu ray quality sound, it is true blu ray does have much improved sound quality and this system can recreate it. It also has an ipod interface....

I Admit It, I'm A Panasonic Loaf Lover!

Advantages: Gorgeous bread, easy to make, easy to use, cheap bread, healthier
Disadvantages: Initial outlay but worth the investment.

I find that running a silicone spatula around the edge of the loaf very lightly makes the loaf a bit easier to remove from the tin - not that it's stupidly difficult without doing so as the tin is non stick and the bread doesn't seem to stick at all, unless the non stick coating is damaged in any way. You may find that your dough blade bakes into your loaf and gets stuck in it, apparently this could be down to 2 things (according to Panasonic), the first one is that your dough is too stodgy so they advise to add another 10mls fluid in white bread and 20mls in wholemeal to loosen it a bit. The other reason is that the dough blade is damaged as it is non stick and could be sticking to the dough, in which case they seem happy enough to send you a replacement out. This leads me to...

In the name of entertainment watch this

Advantages: A great feel good fantasy movie
Disadvantages: Burt Reynolds

...'s. The similarities begin and end with them both being fantasy genre. In the Name of the King is a fantasy film in its own right and a damn fine one. It is a shame about the Lord of the Rings films because I feel many viewers will try to make this film fit with those and in doing so then look to draw comparisons, just to criticise In the Name of the King for falling short of being a LOTR film. Acting It can be argued that this film has a strong cast and as such it adds heaps of strength to the film. Jason Statham dominates and owns the hero role and simply does not err in this film in this role. He has a very strong on screen presence and his martial arts skill in this film make for some highly entertaining combat scenes as he cuts a swathe through the Krug with his sword and boomerang.
