Disadvantages: Not out in the UK yet!!!! Battery life. Loading times

...it. Forget the Nintendo DS, Gizmondo or Nokia N-Gage -they are all truly abysmal compared to the Sony PSP. What's more - is that the Sony PSP is in early development stage - so it's only going to get better and better and better. Also - the sound is a real surpise. Even the stereo speakers sound OK, but when you plug in the headphones, you really notice a huge difference. The sound quality whilst not cinema like - is still very very good, and amazing considering it's coming out of a handheld device. Gaming on the PSP is just like gaming on the Playstation. The only thing that might aggravate some people are the loading times , but to be honest the wait is well worth it, so I'm not too bothered about it! For gaming - I can envisage the PSP destroying the competition - because it is so great. Sony's rivals will have to come up...

Sony PSP

Advantages: Great portable media player. Ideal for Games & Movies
Disadvantages: Not so good as an MP3 player as a little bulky.

...This is an ideal portable console/MP3 Player and MP4 Player for all. Since having the PSP I no longer find myself bored whilst on the train to work. I generally use it for gaming and watching movies. The gameplay/graphics are awesome for such a small device. The added bonus of the PSP is that you can switch it off and when you switch it back on again it allows you to play where you left off even if this is half way through a football match. As for movie capability, this is straight forward. As long as you have a large enough memory card, you can load MP4 files and watch movies on the go with the PSP. I don't really use the PSP as an MP3 player as it's a little too bulky for the pocket. I don't think this is the main benefit of the PSP but the option's there. The PSP Slim does not have a touch screen. it is essentially the old PSP with a few a few minor changes.These are the changes: It can store game data in the cache so the PSP doesn't consistently have to access the UMD, which speeds up load times. ...I always find it a little strange when a company releases two similar models at the same time, especially when the price difference is only around £40. The Panasonic Lumix TZ6 and TZ7 are similar stable-mates, with the TZ7 being the superior of the two. Having said that, the extra features of the TZ7 are things I can quite comfortably live without, such as the superior video capability with stereo sound, an HDMI output, and the ability of the camera to recognise up to 15 of your friends when they appear in a picture.
