...the first time, I was left stunned, and slightly confused, even hoping for another album to be released, the same old Panic with an exclamation mark jumping from nowhere screaming and giggling, “Haha, you thought we’d changed!” But listening to it again and again, you can tell it’s still them, just a more grown up them. Happy beats to keep you uplifted may make the more depressive fans either happy, or hate them. The album’s Marmite, you either love it or hate it. And I for one, have always loved Marmite....

...Bank Holidays are made for lazing around, and so although the fact that uni was shut a few weeks ago made little difference to me (I have Monday’s off anyway), I still felt the need to do something, well, different, thus a trip to the cinema was in order. Panic Room is an unusual movie for two reasons. Firstly, the setting, as almost all the action takes place in one building – an Upper-West Side House in New York – and secondly the cast. There are 5 main characters in the film, and in total no more than 16 people (including the policemen who appear for all of 5 seconds) are ever shown. ~~ Cast and Characters ~~ Jodie Foster plays Meg Altman, the female lead. Recently divorced, as the film starts Meg is househunting for a new home near her ex-husband’s place so that should there ever be an emergency...

Home Alone? Dont Panic!

Advantages: Whiled away a couple of hours on an evening
Disadvantages: Unconvincing characters, farcical

...belong to a very sick, paranoid old man, fearing for his safety he installed a panic room. This is a room lined completely with 3 inches of steel and concrete, the basic premise is that you lock yourself in should you hear burglars in the house. Inside is a bank of cameras and a phone to the outside world. OF course its also packed with medical supplies. Why medical supplies and no food or sustenance is beyond me! And as bad luck would have it, on their very first night 3 burglars get into the house through the roof, a more unlikely bunch you?ll never see! Forest Whittaker plays Burnham, a safe breaker and manufacturer of panic rooms, a gentle sort who worries more about hurting people than getting the stash! Disadvantages: Can dis-rupt your life, Nasty, Horrible feeling like you are going to die

...The doctors never told me that I suffer from panic attacks but me and my friend are convinced this is what I suffer from occasionally. ***MY FIRST EXPERIENCE*** I was staying at my boyfriend's and I woke up at 3am, and I could feel my heart beating very fast and I also felt sick. My hands/fingers were really tingly and felt itchy! I managed to get out of bed and went to the bathroom, where I came over very hot and sweaty, I can describe the feeling, but I felt so scared. My heart felt like it was doing over-time and I honestly thought I was going to die! I was physically sick and this last for about 15-20mins. ***MY 2ND EXPERIENCE*** I had got up out of bed and had eaten breakfast and done everything like normal and when I was in the middle of drying my hair I felt my heart racing again and my fingers/hands were tingly again...

Jamie T - Panic Prevention

Advantages: Alternative, exciting new music
Disadvantages: A bit 'different' for some

..., and for those few that would have seen him before he became 'big', you'd understand that his first album, "Panic Prevention", would have been truly awesome had it been just him and his bass guitar. Unfortunately, it's not, but it still stands up to the need of the general public, who seemingly require a drum kit and numerous sound effects to appreciate it. Opening track, ironically called "Brand New Bass Guitar" is a pacey, exciting opening, if a little messy in places. Jamie himself even says at the end "I think that's the scrappiest version of that I've ever done in my life!" Instantly you can kind of make the link of his vocal styling being a cross between Mike Skinner of the Streets and Alex Turner of the Arctic Monkeys. Second track "Salvador" is one of his single releases, along with "Calm Down Dearest", "Sheila" and "If You Got The Money...

DONT PANIC

Advantages: Helps you to breath easily

...a lady docter who fitted me into her appointments. I went in told her I needed another inhailer and she asked me if I had been diagnosed asthmatic. I told her no and discribed my attacks and told her that the inhailer helped them to go away. I was surprised when she then told me that I was suffering from panic attacks. These usually come on in the middle of the night and the symptoms were the same as mine. I have had a few bad things happen in my past and don't react well to stress, even though I don't show it at the time it will trigger off a panic attack later. The doctor has said that the best thing for a panic attack is to blow into a paper bag and breath into it untill the attack has gone. Surprisingly it works, the doctor said that the inhailer can speed up the heart and will make the condition worse. I'm glad I went to...

Don't Panic!

Advantages: Entertaining suspense thriller
Disadvantages: Some 'obvious' parts.

...My friend bought Panic Room on DVD about a year ago and ever since I have been meaning to watch it but haven't got around to borrowing it. However, it was after an episode of 'Family Guy' in which they take off the film that I thought I would borrow it! The only thing that had put me off a bit before was that I thought it was going to be a spooky horror film which I didn't particularly want to watch on my own (yeah I know I'm a wimp!) but it actually turned out to be a very dark and intense thriller with lots of moments that make you shout 'run you stupid woman!' at the tv. Plot ********** Meg Altman (Jodie Foster) has recently divorced from her husband and is looking for a new house to buy to live in with her daughter Sarah (Kristen Stewart) - who I have to admit I actually thought was a boy for about the first 30 minutes...

Sheer Panic

...Firstly I must apologise for writing so soon after my last one, but I feel the need to share my experiences to others, for the help of them and for myself also. You see writing stuff down really does help, and this is a great way to do so. I bought this book from Amazon after suffering from Panic Attacks for 2 months. I am very much into self help, and thought a book may be a good way to do this. There is no reason why I chose this book over others, apart from the fact it was probably the first on the page. I read this in the space of one day, determined to recover immediately. But you won't find that in this book, so if you are looking for a cure, this is not the way. But if you are looking for understanding, then go for it. The first thing that made me sigh with relief from this book was the fact you know you are not the only person...

Panic? Who me?

Disadvantages: Frightening and exhausting.

...I cannot say whether there will be very much advice in this piece of writing, perhaps there is advice of which I am unaware of. My mind is still a bit cloudy of the events but I felt compelled to write my feelings. If my room 101was empty I would have banished it there. However this is my 101st review so that will suffice. I think I may have had a panic attack about fifteen years ago, the hospital said it was but at the time I had my doubts and still do.
