Paramount Hotel, Dublin

Advantages: Nicely decorated, clean, helpful staff
Disadvantages: Very noisy area, dark rooms

...Myself and a friend recently stayed at the Paramount for 3 nights, Thursday to Sunday, booked through a hotel booking website, not directly though the hotel. First things first: directions were good, and we received a warm welcome form the staff (who were excellent throughout our stay), although the card reader was broken, so we had to leave a cash deposit rather than card details at reception for any extras. The hotel seemed to be a recently converted period building, so still had the peculiarities of when it was built, so it was a bit of a trek to find our room through the rabbit-warren of corridors (but thankfully there were 2 lifts!). The room was a good size, very nicely decorated in browns and beiges, and had all the usual amenities: TV, tea and coffee making facilities, complimentary toiletries and very useful info...

...Paramount have got an absolute gem of a comedy channel here with all your favourites and a steady stream of excellent imports from the States that you may have yet to discover. They have established a well-worked and popular format where they play the same shows, in the same time slot every weekday and then use the weekends for special themes or feature films. With a major studio player such as Paramount I expected them to have access to some top quality shows, but I was surprised as to just how many UK and Stateside talent is on show. Every night there is the Frasier at 10pm, Harry Hill at 10-30pm and the laugh riot of Vic Reeves Big Night Out at 11pm. The Paramount Hotels Are Very Good

Advantages: Very Efficient Booking Good Hotels
Disadvantages: Not Many

Paramount Paramount

Advantages: Extended Hours, more programmes
Disadvantages: repeats too often and too quickly

...As a shift worker, I appreciate the time to "chill out" and relax, when I'm not surfing around, my TV is almost always on Paramount. Last months move to extending the progamme transmissions was an excellent idea from the Channel, but why do they still insist on having a blank screen from 4.00 am until 9.00 am, don't they think folk would like humour at breakfast! It would certainly make a change from GMTV and the Breakfast Show on BBC. As an avid viewer of Paramount, I enjoy most of their shows, but surely repeating the previous evenings shows during the mid-morning section is taking it to the extreme. I would like to suggest that they extend the lead time between repeats and let us enjoy more of the wild and wacky comedy they have to offer. Paramount! Best hotel in NY for location

...I stayed at The Paramount Hotel in early December 2006 with my partner for a 3 night break. This was the first time I had been to America, and I can easily say that I loved every minute of it! The Hotel: The paramount is a large hotel right in the middle of a West 46th Street (right off Time Square!), at first we didn?t notice it, all the buildings are so tall it can be difficult trying to work our where they are signposted, but our taxi driver knew the way and we got there fairly easily. I must take this opportunity to add that as it was the ?Holiday Season? with Christmas fast approaching NY had taken and embraced this and it was spectacular to look at! Everything was lit up, sparkling and it was never dark! So yes, go in December!! But back to the hotel, first impressions were good, the lobby was like none I had ever seen...

Enthusiast Review - Paramount's King's Island

Advantages: Vast selection of world class rides (Tomb Raider, Flight of Fear), good value, well maintained.
Disadvantages: None really, outclassed only by Cedar Point.

...INTRODUCTION This review is based on a trip I made to Paramount's King's Island theme park in Ohio, USA last August (2003). I will be going again on my coaster tour this summer and can't wait to go back. It is the largest park in the Paramount chain and that really is saying something - this is theme park on a grand scale! The park is located just north of Cincinnati in southern Ohio and is easily reached from all over the state. It's around 4 hours drive from the incredible Cedar Point, possibly it's only rival in the world of theme parks (Ill be reviewing this place soon too, so stay tuned!). Obviously you probably won't be coming to Ohio just for this if you live flights away but if you're in the area for whatever reason, I'd say its unmissable. On the gate entry is around $45, this drops to around $35 if you book online...

Comedy is Paramount on Paramount

Advantages: Brilliant regular lineup of the best UK and US comedy
Disadvantages: Not keen on Friday and Saturday night lineup (esp movies)

...I absolutely adore the Paramount Comedy Channel - I have set it as one of my Favourites on Sky Digital. It is especially great since it changed to an all-day channel - now I can watch it as soon as I get home from work. The best part is that you can get used to a routine as each day is the same lineup and episodes are usually shown in sequence. For example, at the moment, Spin City at 9.30pm is followed by Frasier at 10.00pm. This is much better than Sky One's nightly helpings of The Simpsons, which is all over the place with no thought of sequence or seasons. I still think of it as an evening channel, though, so if I watch it before work, it feels weird - like watching a scary film on video in the morning!
