Places to shop in Paris

Advantages: lots of areas to shop,
Disadvantages: but spread out and you need to know where to go

...I have lived in Paris for 6 months and i understand that it may be difficult to shop in paris if you do not know where to go or if you are there for just the weekend. I must admit it took me a good month to find out where the good shops were! Buying the tickets: For starters i would definitely advise you to buy a metro ticket : there are different tickets available such as 1 ticket for 1 journey, a pass of 10 tickets , daily pass called mobili, a week pass (16?ish) and a months pass - the passes are called a carte orange and you do need a photo to get it. if you are in paris for just the weekend then i would buy the daily pass for 3 zones (oh yes forgot to mention paris is split into 8 zones or so, but for shopping you only really need the first 3 zones).   A Superb Gamble in Vegas! The Paris Hotel!

Advantages: Something new to explore..you can be in Paris and Las Vegas at the same time!
Disadvantages: A bit pricy for some, you need more than two weeks to see everything!

...**** Quality Hotel Pierre Arc de Triomphe Paris**** I stayed in this hotel the second time i visited this city.There are 25 rooms,all en-suite ,single,double and twin. **Location/Getting there** This hotel is located very near the arc de triomphe and down one of the streets is a shuttle bus service which will take you to the airports,both Charles De Gauile and Orily.It is also near a metro stop and a taxi rank.This is how long it will take you to get to te hotel from the following places From the Champs Elysées : 10 minutes walk From the Palais des Congres : 10 minutes walk From Opera : Direct access by the ligne number 3(2 minute walk). **Reception/staff** I didn't think that this looked very impressive.There was apparently a bar but this was an area with two seats and small work top.Unimpressed.Checking in was okay but...

Oh La La debmercury stays in Hotel Bellevue Paris

Advantages: Excellent location and good value for money
Disadvantages: Not suitable for disabled people

...The Hotel The Bellevue hotel is a three star hotel and has 36 rooms, which are all nicely decorated in either burgundy or blue tones. It is a four storey building with lots of parisian style. The hotel is a small independantly run hotel which is in a fantastic location 19 Rue d' orsel, 7518 Paris which is at the foot of the Sacre Coeur church in Montmartre. I had pre-booked a taxi online when I booked this break. Taxi was from the Charles de Gaulle airport and when we arrived the Bellevue Hotel was lit up outside and looked very warm and welcoming. The hotel has a small reception desk which is open twenty four hours and the reception staff are very friendly and helpful. At the side of the reception desk there is a large rack with lots of tourist information leaflets on where to go and places of interest...

Line B also serves the Gare du Nord. An important thing to remember when using the RER is that you must keep your ticket safe. You're supposed to keep your ticket anyway, as you can be asked to show it at any point within the metro system, but it is especially important with the RER as you need your ticket to get out (much like in the London Underground). Disneyland Paris

Advantages: Fun for all ages, excellent atmospere
Disadvantages: Very expensive, not alot of toilet/baby changing facilities

...I have just recently came back from Disneyland Paris Resort. Well what can I say WOW. What a fab time was had by all the family. This was a family trip which included a range of ages from 18 months to a grand old age 60 year old. And I am pleased to say that there was something for all the ages concerned. I would say that the 2 very young ones did come a litle restless from waiting in ques. And yes some of these ques were a fair wait. Ranging from 30mins to 70mins. But the 6yr old throughly enjoyed every minute even the new Hollywood Hotel Terror ride. This is not a cheap holiday places I would advise if you are to go take more than enough cash, as things are very expensive. But never the less its is worth while going. The resturants in the parks themselves mainly consist of fast food which is alot more expensive than usual...

A great Paris hotel

Advantages: Perfect location, excellent access to Metro and sights.
Disadvantages: Bedroom doors bang loudly when they shut.

I just left it up to my boyfriend and his dad to choose the accommodation as I knew nothing about this city at the time, except that it had the Eiffel Tower! When we looked it up on the internet there were a few flattering photographs, and because it was so close to the Gare du Nord (where we arrive from the Eurostar) it seemed like the perfect little hotel. It's in a great location for a hotel that isn't too pricey, or too cheap. Location It's located in the heart of Paris, it's a lovely traditional looking building and is in the immediate neighbourhood of the amazing St Quention Market.
