Advantages: Convenient for airport, comfy bed, superb conceiage
Disadvantages: Restaurant very expensive

...left for the airport the next day and got on the 'Hoppa Bus'. This is a fleet of buses which shuttle passengers to and from the terminals. It costs around £4 per person. We paid £188 for 2 nights for 2 adults including breakfast, we booked directly through the Park Inn website. I would definitely stay here again as it was good value for money and very convenient for the airport....

I'D PARK MYSELF IN THE PARK INN ANYTIME

Advantages: Excellent location, Trendy hotel, Easy to get to, Lovely rooms & Great facilities
Disadvantages: Car Parking is a little tricky & Food & drink prices can be quite high

...Having booked my New Year break in November 2004 I decided I would need to book an airport hotel to make sure I got my flight on time. I live in the Midlands and would find it really difficult to get down to Heathrow for 6am especially at holiday time. I haven't stayed in any airport hotels in London before so I really wasn't sure what to book and what to look for. As I work for a holiday company I do get a 50% discount on airport hotels so it really depended on what they could offer me. My family initially wanted to book the Holiday Inn which was fine with me but my company couldn't book this one so I had about 4 others to choose from and the Park Inn sounded the most appealing as it seemed the closest to the airport and probably the most easiest to get to. Lords park inn Surat

Advantages: Location, food
Disadvantages: service, staff attitude

...I had been in Hotel Lords park inn for more than 3 times in last 3 years of my total stay in Surat. It is second choice after Hotel Taj for every business class person. It is located near railway station but far from airport. Surat airport has started since one year. Hotel is in category of 3 star but facilities are of average class. Restaurant on ground floor serve indian,continental,chinese,mexican and gujarati food. It is good compare to other facilities. But due to location it is little crowded and noisey. staff and other services are also of average class. But due to lack of other good hotels in Surat always have bookings in advance. So no flexibility for regular visitors....

getting spoiled at Park Inn Berlin-Alexanderplatz, Berlin

Advantages: great position of the hotel, great service
Disadvantages: none that I can think of

...I stayed at this hotel for two nights ( 24-25 May 2009 ) when I went to Berlin for The Simply Red concert at O2 Arena and I loved it . It situated in the center of East Berlin near the Television Tower ( witch many argue that is even higher that The Eiffel Tour from Paris) and a short walk from The Brandenburg Gate ( witch is one of the main symbols of Berlin and Germany ). If you are a shopaholic, then you are definitely going to appreciate the Alexia Mall that is just in front of the hotel. The hotel is also 20 minutes away from the O2 Arena and 5 minutes away from a modern train station , a great way to travel rapidly through Berlin. Did I mention that Park Inn Berlin is a 37 floors building? :) Is one of the highest buildings in that area and you have a restaurant at the last floor where you can go anytime and take pictures...

City Inn - a hidden gem.

...I think I spend far too much time in hotels, and can be quite demanding. That said, it is with pleasure I report that the City Inn in Birmingham is a hidden gem. Location The hotel is located in the trendy Brindley Place development just off Broad Street in Birmingham, and as such is ideally situated for pubbing, clubbing and general merriment and yet being secluded (for a city) enough for a bit of peace and quiet. Brindley Place itself is home to a variety of trendy bars and restaurants including the (in)famous Bank and various luxury apartments. It's a mainly pedestrianised area, and is easily accessible by foot bus or train from New Street station. The majority of other hotels in the area are located directly on Broad Street, which can be quite noisy with the drunken hordes clamouring around after about 10pm. Mind you don't get...

Good central location and a fair price at the Comfort Inn.

Advantages: Located next to New Street Station, Helpful staff, Nice rooms, Close to shopping centres
Disadvantages: None.

...I have stayed in this hotel a few times when I have needed to be in Birmingham for events at the NEC. The hotel is more or less next door to New Street Station. In fact when you exit the station you can see the sign for the hotel over the wall on your right, and there is access via a stairway onto Station street which takes you more or less outside the door. The other alternative (maybe if you have a lot of luggage) is to walk around which is probably a five minute walk, maximum depending on your speed etc. The check-in process for me has always been trouble free. I usually make my booking through Active Hotels as it tends to be quite a bit cheaper than booking directly with the hotel itself. The staff are always very polite and helpful and willing to assist you in any way they can. There is a smallish lift available for guest use...

DAYS INN - BIRMINGHAM WEST - £54.25 DOUBLE ENSUITE

Advantages: Cheap and cheerful, clean and tidy
Disadvantages: very basic, no frills, but at that price who wants them?

...We live in Devon and had tickets for a Runrig concert in Birmingham Symphony Hall. We live out in the country so going out into the big wide world can be quite scary you know what with all the guncrime and murder in the big cities!!! We were a bit wary of staying in the centre of Birmingham mainly due to cost, so we looked for somewhere on the edge and found Days Inn in West Bromwich, Birmingham. It is just off junction 1 of the M5 which was great and easy to find. We then took a taxi into Birmingham later on. This cost £12 each way, but thats another story! The hotel had underground parking which made us feel that the car was secure (no need to take the wheels in with us)!. The hotel is based on several floors of a large 10 storey building, with reception on the ground floor. Our swipe card would not open the room door...

Park Inn at Heathrow - it used to be Le Meridien

Advantages: Proximity to Heathrow Airport, comfortable rooms, value for money

...This Le Meridien Hotel at Heathrow Airport has actually had a name change and is now the Park Inn. From my understanding, this is the first Park Inn hotel in the UK. The standards are equally good to those at Le Meridien Hotels. In fact, I stayed at this hotel, both before and after the changeover and other than obvious changes to names, logos, uniforms, etc, I didn?t notice any difference. The hotel is located at the entrance to Heathrow Airport. If you know Heathrow well, then the hotel is on the left hand side as you approach the roundabout, which has the model of Concorde at the centre of it. This makes the hotel really easy to get to. My husband and I travelled down from the North East of England and found it first time without any problems. The hotel has hundreds of parking spaces. Advantages: Plenty to see, a relaxing escape from the city.
Disadvantages: Expensive for a one-off visit. Disappointing restaurant.
