...We had a Family Birthday to attend, Russ's 50th. The idea was that Katherine was organising Russ's 50th but did not let on to him who and how many were attending. So some of the Family were coming up from Peterborough and would need accomadation. The function was being held at The Polish Club on Sherwood Rise Nottingham. So i went onto www.hotelscomparison.com to look for hotels. When THE PARK INN came up there could only be one choice as this was about a two min stroll from the Polish Club. The site I booked thru was BOOKING.COM. Prices were £67 for a Double Room with Breakfast. Double Room only £41.25 (Non refundable) Had a chat with those coming, said not too botherered about Breakfast as we would prob have an early Sunday lunch before they started back. Park Inn, Heathrow

Advantages: Convenient for airport, comfy bed, superb conceiage
Disadvantages: Restaurant very expensive

...left for the airport the next day and got on the 'Hoppa Bus'. This is a fleet of buses which shuttle passengers to and from the terminals. It costs around £4 per person. We paid £188 for 2 nights for 2 adults including breakfast, we booked directly through the Park Inn website. I would definitely stay here again as it was good value for money and very convenient for the airport....

Short Break - Holiday Inn York

Advantages: Location, accessability, breakfasts
Disadvantages: Hidden hair dryer!

...My wife and I spent 3 nights in this Holiday Inn in January 2008. It is on the outskirtds of York and easy to find/get to. The room was good and despite facing the main road there was no problem with noise, etc.. It was a good size, clean and tidy with a nice ensuite, tea/coffee facilities. The hair dryer for some reason hides in a drawer but once found was better than the astmatic ones you sometimes get! The breakfasts were good, (buffet style). Good choice (hot and cold), good quality and you can helps yourself to ample quantities! We did not eat any other meals there though they are avaliable. Parking is good with lots of spaces to the front, side and round the back. The staff were friendly and helpful. In the foyer there are lots of leaflets avaliable of local places of interest. The hotel is handy...

I'D PARK MYSELF IN THE PARK INN ANYTIME

Advantages: Excellent location, Trendy hotel, Easy to get to, Lovely rooms & Great facilities
Disadvantages: Car Parking is a little tricky & Food & drink prices can be quite high

...Having booked my New Year break in November 2004 I decided I would need to book an airport hotel to make sure I got my flight on time. I live in the Midlands and would find it really difficult to get down to Heathrow for 6am especially at holiday time. I haven't stayed in any airport hotels in London before so I really wasn't sure what to book and what to look for. As I work for a holiday company I do get a 50% discount on airport hotels so it really depended on what they could offer me. My family initially wanted to book the Holiday Inn which was fine with me but my company couldn't book this one so I had about 4 others to choose from and the Park Inn sounded the most appealing as it seemed the closest to the airport and probably the most easiest to get to. Lords park inn Surat

Advantages: Location, food
Disadvantages: service, staff attitude

...I had been in Hotel Lords park inn for more than 3 times in last 3 years of my total stay in Surat. It is second choice after Hotel Taj for every business class person. It is located near railway station but far from airport. Surat airport has started since one year. Hotel is in category of 3 star but facilities are of average class. Restaurant on ground floor serve indian,continental,chinese,mexican and gujarati food. It is good compare to other facilities. But due to location it is little crowded and noisey. staff and other services are also of average class. But due to lack of other good hotels in Surat always have bookings in advance. So no flexibility for regular visitors....

getting spoiled at Park Inn Berlin-Alexanderplatz, Berlin

Advantages: great position of the hotel, great service
Disadvantages: none that I can think of

...I stayed at this hotel for two nights ( 24-25 May 2009 ) when I went to Berlin for The Simply Red concert at O2 Arena and I loved it . It situated in the center of East Berlin near the Television Tower ( witch many argue that is even higher that The Eiffel Tour from Paris) and a short walk from The Brandenburg Gate ( witch is one of the main symbols of Berlin and Germany ). If you are a shopaholic, then you are definitely going to appreciate the Alexia Mall that is just in front of the hotel. The hotel is also 20 minutes away from the O2 Arena and 5 minutes away from a modern train station , a great way to travel rapidly through Berlin. Did I mention that Park Inn Berlin is a 37 floors building? :) Is one of the highest buildings in that area and you have a restaurant at the last floor where you can go anytime and take pictures...

Holiday Inn - cheap and cheerful

Advantages: Reasonably inexpensive (prices differ between hotels)
Disadvantages: No frills

...On a recent trip to York (pleasure), we were let down by our first choice of hotel (they claimed not to get out internet reservation) and therefore we ended up staying for one night at the 'Holiday Inn Central'. For a very reasonable city centre hotel price of £60 (excl breakfast) we secured a room at the Holiday Inn and made our way over to find that there was no parking available - we had to leave our car in a nearby multi-storey which didn't prove cheap for over 24 hrs. There was some free parking around the hotel but with a maximum stay of 2 hours between 08:00 and 18:00, you had to time it well to take advantage ! The hotel was clean but fairly basic. Unlike some other 'cheaper' hotels, there was a restaurant and a full english cost us £5.99 per person as they were running a special offer - I believe normal price is nearer...

...After looking through many internet sites to find a cheap and clean hotel for a friends hen party i came across Express by Holiday Inn Malton Road York. The recently Built 49 Bedroomed hotel has handicapped Rooms, facilities for meetings and also banquet facilities. There are also non smoking rooms available. Twin, double, family and accessible roms are available in the hotel. It is based just two & a half miles from the city centre, where you can see all the local attractions York Dungeons, Jorvik Centre, Castle Museum, National Railway museumand of courseYork Minster. It also only an hours drive away from the seaside towns of Scarborough, Bridlington and Whitby. Park Inn at Heathrow - it used to be Le Meridien

Advantages: Proximity to Heathrow Airport, comfortable rooms, value for money

...This Le Meridien Hotel at Heathrow Airport has actually had a name change and is now the Park Inn. From my understanding, this is the first Park Inn hotel in the UK. The standards are equally good to those at Le Meridien Hotels. In fact, I stayed at this hotel, both before and after the changeover and other than obvious changes to names, logos, uniforms, etc, I didn?t notice any difference. The hotel is located at the entrance to Heathrow Airport. If you know Heathrow well, then the hotel is on the left hand side as you approach the roundabout, which has the model of Concorde at the centre of it. This makes the hotel really easy to get to. New York City's Best Kept Secret

Advantages: Small, Cheap, Quick to get around and beautiful animals

Well Central Park is only about a 20 minute walk from our hotel, so we decided it was probably better to go to this one rather than Bronx Zoo. After a very long day in the 90 degree heat, we finally arrived at the zoo, got our tickets and went straight into the zoo. The first obstacle you?ll face is the photographers, attempting to get more money out of you in the end; we declined as we all looked like utter crap due to the heat.
