...Following up on our stay at Ashcroft Park resort this weekend. What a disappointment after traveling and spending a few weekends at other Park resorts throughout this year, we had decided to buy a caravan, to accommodate friends and family coming abroad. We wanted to buy one close to home and on the coast, after spending the weekend at Ashcroft we have had an absolute letdown by the park. Firstly the advertisement around the park on breakfast and dinner is complete false advertising. English breakfast from £1.99 from 10 o clock, you couldn't even get a dry piece of toast at 12 o'clock if you tried. 2 meals for £10.00 between 12 and 6pm, Have you tried to get dinner at 6pm. We put our order in for dinner at 6pm and were served dinner when the chef came in at 7.20pm hour and 20 min for a meal. Sunday is the best we put our order in at 7...

Park Resorts Cayton Bay

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Shabby caravan, shabby facilities, rude staff

...I booked a holiday with Park Resorts at Cayton Bay. On the website there are pictures of their accomodation and a description of activities and facilities avaialble. Having looked at the pictures and choices of static caravans and activities available on the date we wanted to go, we decided on the silver option. So we arrived looking forward to a nice relaxing holiday. Unfortunately that isn't what we got. The caravan was small, the carpets were dirty and weren't fitted properly. The kitchen was dirty, as was the seating and eating areas. It was also crawling with spiders and earwigs. You were unable to go in the second bedroom as it had 2 fitted beds and no room to walk in. There was a hole in the floor of the master bedroom which made the room extremely cold, there was no hot water or heating, which was due to the fact that there was...

Lets talk Customer Service, not about the Park

Advantages: This company is certainly on top of its game
Disadvantages: The actual park was not somewhere I would stay again

...Those of you who know me around Ciao will also know that it was just one week ago that I was returning from a trip to Yarmouth with friends, and now I am milking that holiday experience for every last review that I can. This is of course a very important matter though, because booking the holiday can be one of the hardest parts of the whole saga. So who did we book with? Park Resorts of course. In this day and age there was never any doubt that the holiday was going to be booked over the internet, due to the fact that this generation is the computer generation and of course the internet loves taking business away from the high street chains. Park resorts- a great holiday !!

Advantages: Great value for money, very friendly.
Disadvantages: None that i can think of!

...We have just returned from a weeks holiday with Park Resorts,which i fully recommend to any family! We visted the Brynowen site, which is in Borth,Wales, for the 2nd year running! Accommadation -------------------- This comes within three levels of accommadtion, bronze,silver,and gold. We had a silver caravan last year, but wanted a 3 bedroomed caravan this year, so had to settle for a bronze caravan! All caravans come with standard fittings,fridge,built in cooker, kettle , cutlery and plates,all cooking utensils,free gas and electricity(so no extra charges!),tv,one quilt and one pillow per person!(Although we bought all our own bedding with us!) If you book through the Park Resorts website, pillowcases and quilt covers are provivded! Id say the only difference between the bronze and silver caravans was the shower! In the bronze...

Brynowen Holiday Park

Advantages: Location (Borth is lovely)
Disadvantages: Where do we start ??!!

...up to scratch. Security was a joke - security staff hanging about bar area and arcades just interested in checking out teen talent and talking to mates. Girl in shop very nice though. Park Resorts advertise the fact that they have invested so much money into its sites - but obviously not Brynowen. Would not go there again and wouldn't really recommend it....

  Wii Resort For Island Sports

Advantages: Some great mini-games that really show off the MotionPlus accessory
Disadvantages: Expensive to fully kit out two remotes. One or two less compelling mini-games

  Meedhupparu: A Pearl of a Resort

Advantages: Stunning beauty, tranquility, dive sites
Disadvantages: Italians on an ice-cream company conference. Err...that's about it.

However, nearly two years later, still childless and facing the prospect of infertility treatment, we decided to spend the (by now unnecessarily large) baby funds on a holiday to cheer ourselves up. We found a last minute deal online to the four-star Meedhupparu Island Resort for the first two weeks in January 2001. The price was around £800 each for full board, which seemed a real bargain. However, we struggled to find the resort in any of the mainstream brochures (including our carrier - JMC) as it only opened in June 2000, so I guess we took a small gamble. The resort is now carried by major operators including First Choice and Thomson, and a similar fourteen night break with Thomson departing from Gatwick on the 1st Jan 2006 would set you back £1,399 each. Fortunately, we had time to have the recommended vaccinations for Typhoid...

...Park Resorts, So Far I have only had the pleasure of visiting one their resorts, but I definitely will be again soon. Park Resorts are a relatively small company offering on site rent able Static Caravan accommodation, but also on many sites Touring Vans or Camping is welcome. They specialise in British Holiday resorts and have 35 coastal locations to choose from, including the Isle of White. Where ever you live around Britain there is bound to be one within easy reach. They offer mid week breaks and full weeks, Opening in early spring, and going through until late October, The sites are smaller than the more well known companies, but this doesn't detract anything from the quality of your holiday, We found the caravans not only clean and very comfortable, but also they were extremely well equipped, fully fitted modern kitchens...

Get active at Wii Sports Resort.......for a price!

Advantages: fun to play with family and friends, lots of game choices, some really fun games, multiplayer
Disadvantages: very expensive, some potentially boring games, not as well designed as it could be.
