Sleeping in the city
Advantages: Comfortable room; polite and efficient staff
Disadvantages: Dirty cutlery; noise from traffic
.... No reduction was offered for single occupancy, but as breakfast was included it seemed a reasonable price for a city centre hotel. Payment was required at the time of booking and was non-refundable, presumably because of the discounted price.
Being very close to Bristol Temple Meads station, the hotel is easy to find. To park a car, however, necessitates driving round to the back of the hotel...

Bristol City Museum = Fantastic Family Fun
Advantages: WARNING- LONG REVIEW. Loads to see and do for adults and kids.
Disadvantages: WARNING LONG REVIEW. Poor disabled facilites and cafe.

Getting to the museum is simple enough for us, as we're local, but the parking is a real problem, being situated in the middle of busy Queens Road, at the top of Park Street, in Clifton, it is near impossible to find a space nearby and we always park in the Frogmore street NCP and walk the 5 minute trip up the road, past the university buildings and into the museum. Nice pair of Bristols!
Advantages: Good location. Bristol is better than it sounds at first.
Disadvantages: None really, but the afternoon barmaid let the team down.

Three minutes later, I was informed that my ridiculous offer was accepted. We were off to the Marriott Bristol City Centre. Bristol has two Marriotts. One is better than the other. This is probably the poor relation, but I can tell you that it certainly isn?t at all bad. If you want to know more, read on by all means!
