Le Domaine Les Pailles Resort

...The best Holiday Resort I have ever been in Mauritius is The Domaine Les Pailles. As I briefly mentioned in one of my previous reviews, this is a humongous holiday resort which stretches out for miles and miles, and comprises of activities, fun and cuisine for every ages and tastes. It is situated at Pailles, a small town just a few minutes before Port Louis, the capital of Mauritius. Finding the road to Domaines Les Pailles turned out to be quite difficult because there is one specific corner road we had to turn into and we kept missing roads! But once we got into the road which would take us to the resort, it was as if we'd immediately been shut out of the real world. Wild animals at the party

...Are there going to be lots of wild animals at your party? if so you maybe having a jungle themed party. These jungle paper plates will be just the thing for your guests to eat their food from. I went to a child?s party recently and the food was on these plates. I am not sure where the hostess got these plates from but they are available at many on line shops probably also available in party shops in the high street. ...I recently brought a pair of these when I saw them being sold for a pound (reduced from a fiver) in my local chemist and thought I'd give them a go. I tried them when I was going to a birthday party whilst wearing a pair of my highest heels (which always hurt my feet by the middle of the night). When I stood up after inserting them into the shoes I felt slightly wobbily at first but I soon got use to them. During the party I didn't notice much discomfort whilst dancing. At the end of the night I did still get the usual burning sensation in the balls of my feet but it didn't seem to be as bad as it normally is and when I took off my shoes when I got home they seemed to recover quicker. The inserts seemed to have stayed in place throughout the night....

...I am a big fan of the author Mike Gayle and have loved everything that I have read by him. Therefore I was really looking forward to reading The Life and Soul of the Party and I was not disappointed in the least. This is a really great book! There are many different reasons for throwing a party - New Year, birthdays, anniversaries, house warmings, people leaving and even funerals - and through the course of a year the characters in this excellent book by Mike Gayle experience all of these. In fact, the book is split into six parts each focusing on a different party. The main characters in this book are a group of thirty somethings who have a long shared history. Silent Alarm - Bloc Party

Advantages: Lyrically and vocally compelling.Sounds bit like Joy Division, Sonic Youth, The Cure and such like
Disadvantages: The vocals can sometimes bit a bit shouty and musically they aren't that impressive or different.

...Although I really dont like Bloc Party, I can appreciate this album on its merits. It's weighty with influences from much better bands like Joy Division, Sonic Youth and The Cure and therefore feels familiar and ok to listen to. The east london art-punkers definitely have a charming and down to earth feel both in their vocals and their lyrics. Songs like 'Like eating glass' and 'This modern love' earn this album the respect that I think it does deserves above other bands in their league like Franz Ferdinand and Hard-Fi. Lyrically and musically 'This modern love' puts them in the same league as great bands like The Rakes that still manage to say something new when so many things have been said and done before. Every time we throw a party in my family either a birthday, house, summer, Christmas or an anniversary party we always make sure we have some foods. A party wouldn't really be a huge party without food. If your party does not have food you would be lucky if you find me there to be honest.
