...I hate the concept of this show and the BBC must know I hate it because they reuse the formula so many times. You know, the eccentric copper/lawyer in this case, with a passion for classical music, living in the middle of nowhere, driving a vinatage motor etc. etc. a la bergerac and Morse. This guy drives an old Citroen and if it is successful series the car will be much sort after, he neglects his son who runs away and stuff. Its so bland I can't even write 90 words about it. Just dont watch it. They went out to waste our licnse fee on this.... Read review

...time I was at that venue was to see Nina Simone, who got a 5 minute standing ovation as she walked onto the stage. I was stunned then as to the strength of feeling and respect for such a musical figure, and as each of Ruben Gonzallas, Ibhrim Ferver and the other members of the band walked on, again, such respect was shown. As they played a mixed set of album classics, new material, and old Cuban classics, the passion they showed and enjoyment they felt was reciprocated by the audience in a way I haven't seen since when I saw Pearl Jam play earlier this year (but I'll come onto that in it's own review). their music intertwines the stunning talent of various key individuals, backed up by Cuban jazz rythums which are passionate and attention grabbing. ...Well, I've been a member of Ciao for about five days, so it's about time that I write about something that I love with a passion. That something is Pulp. I can't discuss which orange juice to buy with my housemates because I can't bring myself to say the words, 'I don't like Pulp.' Since I love Pulp so much, it might be hard for me to get any coherent thoughts on this album, but let's give it a try. Pulp had been around for several years before finally becoming huge stars with this brilliant 1995 album. It features several hits that you have probably heard on the radio or pub juke boxes. But every track is profound and gorgeous in its own way. 'Different Class' is an epic and dramatic masterpiece. The album is very eclectic and seems musically sophisticated. ...dancer comes on in turn one by one they slowly move with accuracy, as each dancer joins the line their legs all move in unison in an arabesque. After they have all entered the stage they move aside and then the dead Nikiya enters the stage. Solar runs towards her but she disappears, frantically he searches for her as the 32 dancers move back to the stage to hide her eventually they meet up and the final Pas De deaux takes place, this is all about passionate dancing on a grand scale, every moment is beautiful every movement precise every arm in place you really do feel the love between them both. The dead bayaderes close in and circle them after they finish their dance and the curtain comes down. La Bayadere was Rudolph Nureyevs final work for The Paris Opera Ballet and he has cleverley mixed exquisite classical ballet... Read review

...and nostalgic for a lot of people. Throughout the entire film there was a feeling of hope, i think because of the strong, 'Italian' passion between the main characters, which kept them together despite their seperation. The thought that love survives anything is doubted so often in society, we forget that it is possible. The title is a perfect summary of the feeling you are left with after watching this film, although parts of it are sooo sad. La vita is still bella!... Read review
