Passport to paris

Advantages: Great for the whole family , easy to follow , funny ,
Disadvantages: none

...Passport to paris Twins Melanie and Alyson porter (played by Mary-kate and Ashley Olsen) are average American teenage girls. During their Spring Break they plan on going to the spring fling dance , a popular dance at school , but their parents suprise them with tickets to Paris. The girls are disappointed but decide there'll be plenty more dances that they can attend. So during their Spring Break they visit their Granpa in Paris who is the American ambassador. Before ariving they are excited about spending some quality time with their Grandad who they have not seen for some time. They soon discover that they will not be spending much time with their grandpa but with his assistant Jeremy Bluff who acts as their chaperone. The girls disagree with almost everything he does and said , and try to come up with all kinds...

"Blimey! I'm a foreigner!" - Passport To Pimlico DVD

Advantages: Great one-liners, great idea for a film, love it!
Disadvantages: None

...One of my favourite films, Passport to Pimlico was a film I first saw when I was a child, and the concept of it really appealed to me. It came out in 1949, and is set a in post second world war London, Pimlico to be precise (funny that!). It stars Stanley Holloway (also in The Lavender Hill Mob, My Fair Lady and much more), Margaret Rutherford (Miss Marple), and a very early appearance from Charles Hawtry (Carry On films). To summarise slightly, because I don't want to give too much away, and besides, it is definitely a comedy worth seeing, there is an unexploded bomb, some kids are playing and accidentally(?) kick a tyre down the hole, which sets off the bomb, to reveal a hole (which I gather was a buried cellar) containing among jewels, coins etc, a set of important documents revealing to the inhabitants that Pimlico is in fact...

Passport in a hurry? No need to worry

Advantages: Fast, efficient and totally secure
Disadvantages: Costs a bit more for peace of mind

...Note this advice applies only to priority passport renewals by UK citizens - it doesn't cover first passports or anyone whose nationality is more 'complicated'. Other procedures apply in those instances. Do you know where your passport is? Do you know when it's due to expire? Organised readers will smugly be thinking "Yep, it's in the top drawer, under the insurance paperwork with another 5 years to run". Some readers may be wriggling in their seats slightly uncomfortably thinking "Well I know where it should be but I'm not completely sure and it must be due to run out soon because I still had hair/didn't have wrinkles/had that ridiculous make-up when the photo was done". Or maybe one or two of you are going to spend a few hours worrying because you really can't remember where you put it or when it runs out. Recently my...

Foreigners in their own country

Advantages: Gentle comedy, great characters and actors, Ealing Comedy
Disadvantages: Outdated for some

...**************************** NO SPOILERS *************************** Pimlico as a name certainly has an unusual twang to it and does sound almost foreign, yet it is a borough of London. Passport to Pimlico is one of the now classic comedies which came out of the Ealing Studios, during their prime in the 1940's and 1950's. This gentle comedy is set in the era, just after the Second World War, when rationing is still very much in operation. During a long hot summer, the discovery of an unexploded bomb eventually leads to an exciting discvery, which may lead the citizens of Pimlico to an apparent means of solving their shortages. A lot of this film was made on a set which was erected on a cleared bomb site in London. This film has delightful characters and a wealth of those actors and actresses, who were my favourites during my...

Portable, durable and affordable disk space: WD 160GB Passport

Advantages: reliable, small & light, slim and sleek design
Disadvantages: bundled sync software which is difficult to navigate

...amount of important files. Needless to say, I don't think that will be a problem with the WD Passport Portable. The only thing potential buyers need to think about when considering this device is how much space they need for their files. 160 GB is one of the smallest sizes I could find for external hard drives, but it is about the same size as my laptop's internal hard drive - in other words, it stores a lot of data! If, therefore, you are looking for something just to back up a few photos, or a couple of word documents, it would probably be a better idea to do so by CD or USB stick. But it's a definite for people who want to transfer and back up there many files easily, securely and promptly, without having the downside of dragging a huge bulky hard drive around when you want to take your files with you elsewhere....

Olsen twin fever has arrived

Advantages: funny, entertaining
Disadvantages: silly clothes

...Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen fever has finally reached our household, resulting in their DVDs being played pretty much all the time. Any parent with young girls is likely to have heard of this duo who are huge in the US. Basically they are identical twins who have their own make-up line, clothing line, toy line and are actresses as well. Their speciality type of film is starring with each other in pre-teen type films usually aimed for young girls aged about 7-12 years. THE CAST AND PLOT Ally (Mary Kate Olsen) Melanie (Ashley Olsen) The twins play two 13 year old American girls, Ally and Mel, who are sent to Paris for a holiday by their parents to vist their grandfather who is the US ambassador to France. Their grandfather is a grumpy old man who insists on quiet in the household and that the girls behave like ladies. The girls...

Your Passport to your data, Whenever, Whereever

Advantages: *Compact *High speed *No need for additional power adapter
Disadvantages: None to say about

...This little beauty is small (about 5 inches in its longest dimension) yet perfectly formed. I've been using mine for months now and its not backed out on me yet. I find it most ideal because, although there is the option of buying a power adaptor to power the unit, it can be powered via the USB cable supplied with it. Adding to its neat design, the HD is very quiet and It doesn't seem to get hot (or even luke-warm) while running. The massive 120GB space is an absolute steal at its current price of between £77 and £97 GBP on the Ciao.co.uk market (roughly $139 USD) Although you can buy many external Hard drives with double or even triple the capacity than the WD-Passport, I'd recommend this over all of them due to its slim design, low power requirements, ease of use AND the quality of the product itself. A robust investment...

My little peace of tranquility

Advantages: Escape to a beautiful island
Disadvantages: jealous for not being there

...Since it started last year i have watched Passport to the Sun without ever missing an episode. The first episode I saw was with Lisa Tarbuck , then this year the presenter was Nadia Swahala (Eastenders star ). I just had to watch it again as a character called Leapy lee (famous for singing little arrows in the 60s) was on the show. he used to make me laugh, he is very comical. Because Iam at work when the programme is on 12.30/1.00 i had to tape it everyday, I've just watched fridays episode and it was the last one. I feel sad as it was an enjoyable programme and it left me wondering what will happen to the characters from now on. The programme featured people from England who were on holiday in Majorca and also people who lived out there. There was Maureen and John who had a boat called Vita Belle and they took paying guests...

Passport to a life of misery

Advantages: Gives an insight into the choices faced by illegal immigrants
Disadvantages: Bit slow to get started

...'s problems, Juan tries to persuade him to go along with the Baltic Hotel program. As we discover, Juan is mixed up in various black market smuggling schemes, ranging from trading in truffles, to providing body parts from illegal immigrants desperate for a passport. Juan soon pushes Okwe into professional service when an operation goes bad, and an East Indian patient must have emergency treatment for a gaping wound in his side. As he soon learns, this man is lucky, many have died at the hands of Juan's "butchers." It is at this point that Senay (Audrey Tatou) becomes more involved in the story. Senay is a Turkish Muslim woman, who is in Britain on political asylum. Just before Okwe comes off duty every morning, she gives him a signal by looking into the CCTV camera that all is clear for him to catch a couple of hours sleep on her sofa...

It is only open to timeshare owners and membership can be arranged from as little as £60.00 for one year to around £200.00 for three years and acts as an agent for the week/s owned. **How does RCI work** RCI claims to be ?your passport to the world.?
