...Postman Pat is a children?s television programme which has gone on for many years now. Recently it has been upgraded quite a bit and has more graphics added to it. They brought out a game which tries to copy the television show on the Nintendo Ds Console which I am admitting to playing purely because it was there and I wanted something fun to play. You get to see Postman Pat and his mail and the first few challenges are to do with catching mail which is flying around and trying to put it back into the sack for which they flew away from. ...Postman Pat Pocket library......... Jack is a little bookworm and loves nothing more than a good book. His latest obsession (well his first one really) is Postman Pat. Of course, the Postman Pat Special Delivery Service, which is on every weekday morning 9.15am on BBC2, is a lot jazzier than Postman Pat used to be, so it not surprising he can't get enough of it. With Pat jetting about in his "Special Delivery" helicopter delivery parcels to all over Greendale it would make any little boy aspire to be a Postman! Anyway it was a little while ago now that we purchased these books from Waterstone's and there was a buy 3 for 2 offer on but these books were selling for £3.99p. I have seen them cheaper on the Internet but the saving is merely a few pence (and with postage would probably tot it up over £4). What you are getting...

Ray Quinn, the Swing King

Advantages: Stunning vocals, Hypnotic songs, very original

...Ray Quinn, as you may know was one of the runner-ups of The X Factor, a UK 'talent' show. Normally, I'd disregard the 'talent' bit as this is the show that gave us Chico but when i heard of Ray I decided to have a little look myself. Coem on, it's a swing/jazz album sung by a 19 year old Brit - It's not something you see everyday. Strangely though, i have never called it a novelty album. From song one (Ain't That a Kick In The Head) you can see why: Ray Quinn can sing. And he can sing flipping well to be honest! Normally I'm not the biggest swing fan but this album is a ray of light for two reasons - Firstly, it's really incroduced me into the world of jazz/swing music and perhaps even more importantly, it has proven that Britain does have talent! The songs are mostly covers with notable songs like New York, New York and My Life...

Yeah That's Right. A Rapper Called Pat

..."Walkin' Bank Roll" came out in 2007, and the album came as the sixth solo release from the Memphis rapper, Project Pat. The artist is the elder brother to Three 6 Mafia member, Juicy J, and so a lot of the musical style seems to cross over between both acts. 1. "On The Porch" (Intro) 2. "Rubberband Me" Pat explains what he means by the title of the album in this one as it has him talk about how he makes money for doing each and everything e does in his life. ...We bought this game for my daughter when she was almost three for Christmas and it has provided her with a lot of fun ever since - although I probably would have to say that she does not yet play the game as intended. This is not altogether surprising as the game does have a minimum age of three years so she still is a tad young! The main reasons though that she is not yet up to playing the game properly is that she is not yet completely au fait with the conventions of board games - especially that most important one of turn taking! However, her four and a half year old sister is fully into playing the game. I will endeavour to describe what they both get out of it! Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied. On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. ...We got this dvd about 6months ago, and it is great. It has a all new feature length special and two new episodes. The total running time is 55minutes and it is rated Universal, suitable for all. Postman pat clowns around (feature length) when the circus has to cancel its visit to Greendale, the children are so dissapointed that they decide to put on their own show. Postman pat joins in with hilarious consequences! (I love the music when the people of greendale are hammering in the big tent, both my boys jig along to it!)
