...When in Tavira you fancy a very enjoyable meal out then visit the O PATIO RESTAURANT. LOCATION:- Find the OLD ROMAN BRIDGE, not difficult, then with your back to the Open Air Theatre cross the bridge, on the opposite side just continue straight down the little street facing you, about 50 yards on the right hand side is O PATIO RESTAURANT. You enter by the door and prceed up the Staircase. You will pass a chilled display of the Fresh Caught Today fish on offer. In the restaurant is another chilled display of the Meat on offer. There is a small bar and then tables in Three Areas (rooms). There is also a Open Air Patio that must be delightful in the Summer. Pity we only seem to visit Tavira in the Winter, although it is still warm. What I Like is the Tables are Large, which is a big plus when the Food and Drinks come...

The Patio - Hanover St Edinburgh - Warning!

Advantages: Good location
Disadvantages: Very ifffy service mentality

...We ate at The Patio, Hanover St, Edinburgh on Saturday. A strange long, thin restaurant interior, and a décor that was in need of a serious makeover some years ago, but didn't get it. We waited too long for drinks, and finally the order to be taken. Having waited, we asked twice for an update on when our food would arrive. Especially when others were arriving after us, and getting their food quickly. Finally ... the garlic bread was disappointingly simply sliced crusty bread with thinly spread oiling butter - and no hint of garlic. My pizza (specially ordered as extra hot version of their special "The Patio Pizza") ... was so perfectly round, with a perfectly rounded crust, that it looked suspiciously like frozen dough ... drowned in over the top mozzarella, and little else - very disappointing! 3 goes and my patio is still tragic

Advantages: Easy application.
Disadvantages: Won't work on really awful stains. Fishy smell.

...Plus:- No scrubbing. Minus:- Fishy stink. Doesn't work if your patio is REALLY bad. . I'm doing the garden up at the moment. I go through phases of doing up the garden, it looks all nice for a while so I take my eye off the ball and before I know it, the weeds have taken over and it looks a complete mess again. Anyway, I'm currently busy growing fruit, veg, herbs and so forth aswell as re-painting the fence panels and shed, putting slate chips hither and thither and then I realized how skanky the patio slabs and little border walls were looking. Some were their original creamy stone colour and others were various shades of green to grayish-black. In the past I've set to with hot water, disinfectant and a stiff broom?..and got covered in nasty flick-back so when I saw a bottle of Patio Magic for sale in Wilkinsons for £7...

PATIO a very modern interior.

Advantages: Location only 60 yards from Old Town Square.
Disadvantages: Best to be shown to room on arrival.

...an Office then a couple of rooms then another office. Quite strange until you get used to it, but still seemed safe and secure. It seems to be a 19th Century Building but at the same time the interior seems very modern indeed. The double room we had was very spacious although of a more triangular shape than square. The breakfast room was on the Ground Floor in the Tete a Tete restaurant. A cut above most breakfast rooms. Comfortable tables and chairs. Breakfast was a buffet style with plenty of options including some very delecious hand made items. Lovely eggs with interesting filling. in addition to the staples. As said the location could not be better as most of life revolves around the Old Town Square, this is where most of the Restaurants seem to be.. Wroclaws other attractions are also within easy reach if...

Advantages: Always one close by, quick turn out, children are welcome and catered for.
Disadvantages: Toilets can be quite disturbing, not all dishes taste as good they are described.

...Good food is not enough. A restaurant?s attitude to its diners is also important. I?d ordered Escalope Milanese (£11.95). It came with a minute portion of spaghetti in tomato sauce. When it was eaten with half the escalope still to go I politely asked for some more pasta. I was told pasta was an accompaniment not meant to replace potatoes and vegetables. "But I didn?t get any potatoes and vegetables" I said, even though the menu said the dishes came with them. The owner drew in her breath. "But not if you have pasta" she replied. "It clearly states so in the menu." She flounced off returning with the menu which she opened and thrust at me. ...The Restaurant is a TV programme shown on BBC 2 on Thursday nights! The show is a reality TV show and is similar to something like the Apprentice but a food version. This show is obviously based on the concept and success of many other TV shows like the Apprentice, food shows like Masterchef and all the other shows like Dragon`s Den, X Factor e.t.c The idea of the show is for world famous chef Raymond Blanc to find a couple to help him run a restaurant and the couples are gradually knocked out week by week until they have the winning couple. It is in its third season and seems to have got a bit worse. I still enjoy it but felt it used to be more exciting and interesting. Rick Stein is an English chef, restauranter and television presenter. He now specialises in fish cookery. He opened his first restaurant in Padstow in 1974 and now runs quite a few businesses in the town including a cake shop, cookery school and a fish and chip shop. The Seafood Restaurant is his upper class restaurant in the town and is known for it's fabulous fish. It really is in the best location for fish. Padstow is a historic fishing port and so receives fresh fish every day.
