One thing that is compromised though is the portability, entertainment laptops are made to keep at home and not really to carry about with you all the time, so whilst the specification may look good, don?t expect one of these to be very portable. The Pavilion dv9820ea combines two colours, silver and black in order to make it look very up to date and futuristic even. It appears nice and rounded, and its shell makes the laptop feel very stable and robust. The installed ram on this laptop is great, it has a massive 3gb which is the main reason this laptop runs so fast, also the AMD Turion 64 X2 mobile...

HP Pavilion DV6625em - high spec, shiny; questionable quality?

Advantages: Nice to use; wonderful screen and features
Disadvantages: Appalling customer service; cracks on lid; poor A/C adaptor reliability

...I purchased my HP Pavilion Laptop (model number dv6625em) in January 2008 after my previous laptop finally stopped working (and was beyond repair after 4 years of use and multiple failing components). I did a lot of research in order to find the best laptop at a reasonable price (I had £500), because I have heard lots of horror stories about unreliable laptops, or ones that are unpleasant to use. I chose the HP dv6625em because it matched my requirements and was available from John Lewis. They have a good name as a retailer and provided a free 2-year guarantee, which seemed sensible. I do not have a branch of John Lewis nearby, so I ordered it online. I?m going to write mainly in the past tense, just as a style of writing. Advantages: Looks Good, nice useful features
Disadvantages: only 2 hour battery life

Takes a while to get rid of all the freebie/trial software if you don't want it, and lacks the comfort of the restore discs, though there is the option to make your own, the restore function works off a partitioned drive, so get onto that backup job asap. GFX are not top of the range but having said that, it copes with most games except the most up to date stuff. Nice crisp picture on the screen, although light reflection off the glossy surface can be distracting. Wireless aerial is good, picks up signals as easily as the Belkin external aerial I tested out on it. Not tried the LAN connection and there's always the good old 56k modem. Card reader and firewire port are useful as are the little touches such as the wireless and mouse pad switches. Nice to see an entertainment device fitted with HDMI as...

A tablet pc at an affordable price

Advantages: many features, stylish looking, cheap price
Disadvantages: windows vista is not the operating system for this

...for business users, which meant they would be more expensive for the ordinary consumer. So you can bet my delight when I saw HP had brought out a tablet in their Pavilion range. This range is HP's home user range and more affordable. So after some research online, this model was the choice. I chose HP because they are one of the leaders in this market and unlike some others I have never had any issues with my HP equipment so I find them my first choice for printers and PCs. Purely a matter of choice IMHO. This particular model is also compact and light at only 2 kg in weight and 12in x 9in in dimensions so easily portable. I happened to be in a department store one day and passed by this exact model so took the opportunity to have a look and feel. The keyboard is silver with keys and the monitor is totally black. Advantages: Beautiful setting and gorgeous food
Disadvantages: Not the most salubrious part of town

MANILA PAVILION - A Place for Casino Lovers

Advantages: It has a Casino and also near Manila attractions
Disadvantages: The location is not very nice

...A lot of people, mostly foreign tourists, flock to the Manila Pavilion because of the Casino (there are only two casinos in Metro Manila) but other than that, I do not find the hotel to be outstanding. There are always a lot of people in the lobby, thus, making it feel a bit crowded. It could use more elegance in its design and decorations especially for the lobby. However, it has such a homey atmosphere and won?t make one feel intimidated. My family and I stayed at Manila Pavilion one weekend but we may not be back in the near future. It?s not that we don?t like the hotel but I think I?d rather try other accommodations in the area. The rooms are of standard size with the usual amenities - coffee/tea making facilities, bathrobes and slippers, and various toiletries. ...A well designed, high quality affordable laptop, the HP pavilion dv5 doesn't fail to please in looks, performance or price. In terms of look and design, flashy is a good word for it. It has a glossy black case which shines in the light, then you open it. The keyboard-surround is split horizontally: the bottom half is very light silver with a white check pattern, and the upper half perforated silver plastic. Around the edge of the laptop, there is a chrome-effect strip which sparkles and shimmers. Even the mouse pad has a finish that is so reflective you can see your face in it. This is the 'bling-bling' of the laptop world. It also feels pretty solid, I don't think you would be able to break it easily and I have faith in it's durability and robustness. It is also quite light, weighing 2.65kg, not bad for a laptop it's size. Ok...
