T-mobile pay as you go (text appeal)

Advantages: cheap texts to all networks on text appeal, variety of price plans available
Disadvantages: phone calls expensive, network coverage not brilliant

...I've been on t-mobile pay as you go since 2007 (although I've just gone onto contract with them) and I have been using their price package known as 'text appeal' since the start. From memory t-mobile has something like 3 pay as you go packages - one is for cheaper texts, one for cheaper phone calls and one is mates rates. I chose 'text appeal' (the cheaper text option) as I very rarely call...

O2 Pay as you go, PLUS free text messages

Advantages: Best pay as you go text messaging offer around
Disadvantages: you have to keep track of how many messages you send

...I have been a customer of O2 now for about two years, and find their pay as you go contracts very reasonable. I myself have one of the genie sim cards, where you get a choice offree text messages or free any network, any time minutes. Since i have had the sim card i have taken advantage of the free text messages. where for ten pounds O2 give you 300 free messages, the amazing thing with this...

Should be called Pay As You Go Textalot

Advantages: 300 free text messages & 1Mb free WAP
Disadvantages: customer services is expensive

...lisaleahjack has already provided a detailed review, which is why I searched out this deal in the first place, so I'll try not to repeat too much. After my discoveries about ThreePay I was keen to find an alternative pay-as-you-go deal that better suited the way I use a mobile phone. O2's "online" deal sounded great, but knowing my luck I was expecting it not to be on the market anymore...
