...having been a cheapskate and used the free firewall from zone alarm for over a year i decided to go out on a limb and actually pay for something and boy am i glad i did. before this i was running various spyware and anti-virus, now no need it does it all. for a while i kept my other programmes just to be safe but after scanning with this they never found a thing and are now gone, resigned to history. at £25 i feel i have had a real bargain here before when i had been on line for long periods i found that my spyware tool would pick up sometimes dozens of spyware this doesnt happen with zone alarm as it constantly scans and removes the unwanted as it go`s. having a new and powerful pc i wasnt worried about the constant scanning slowing me down but it actually uses very little cpu power anyway so it will run well even on slower pc`s...

...I'll try to keep this simple without too much technical jargon. I was able to connect this unit directly to my cable modem and connect 2 PC's to the internet. There is also the possibilty that I can connect my Xbox to this unit with an ethernet cable. I play a lot of online games and have not experienced any disruption in the signal. This is due to MIMO, which sends 2 signals instead of one. To take advantage of MIMO you must have MIMO compatible wireless ethernet cards in your PC(s)/Laptop these cost a bit more but are worth the extra expense. The corresponding D-Link cards are DWL-G520M. The epson R300 is the printer i use downsatirs and this lexmark comes no where near being able to compete with it, as i use the epson for disc printing photo printing and all sorts which this lexmark just doesnt do. That aside as i said it was only a second printer fo light work i was looking for and this printer can easily take on that task, its very user friendly and fairly fast. It produces very clear print and images even when the ink is running very low which is one thing the epson wont do! Low ink in the epson leads to inferior printing. not so with this...
