Not a Factory, but a decent Card!

Advantages: Excellent service; plenty to choose from.
Disadvantages: Small shop.

...Having gone in to my local branch of the Card Factory today, I would just like to share my own thoughts on the shop. However I must just point out that this review is not solely based on my visit today, as I do actually in fact get the majority if not all of my cards in this shop. Granted the Plymouth shop may well be slightly smaller than other shops, but the range of goods that they sell is so huge that it all seems to be crammed in - but as I said, the Plymouth shop is not that big in terms of floor size and so everything seems to be closer or more on top of you than I am sure other similar shops would be! Although as the name would suggest this particular shop sells cards, it does in fact sell a lot more than this. There are items for sale all year round that include birthdays; anniversaries; weddings, and engagements - as well...

Argos Store card - good to spread te purchases

Advantages: Can do buy now play later
Disadvantages: high apr

...Argos Card= =Where Can I Use the card= The Argos is a store card, basically a credit card, but you can only use it in Argos stores, on online on the Argos Website. =How do I get the card= When you get the card you are pre-set a credit limit, this will be dependent on a lot of factors, and is based on a credit score. =Buy Now Pay Later= There are buy now pay later deals available, generally if you spend over £99 you buy now, pay 3 months later, then £199 which is buy now pay 6 months later, but there are limited special offers that override these promotions, for example presently if you spend over £99 you pay in 6 months time/ =Statements= These are issued 4 weekly, although it says you can have up to 59 days...

Review of Argos Card

Card making!

Advantages: fun, more personal than shop bought cards
Disadvantages: equipment can be expensive, time consuming

...Since I got Freeview I love watching the shopping channels (I don't know how sad that makes me!), and that's what first made me decide to get into card making. I was watching Ideal World one day when they had a craft hour on, and they were making the most beautiful cards. The only thing that put me off starting straight away was the price of some of the equipment needed - handmade papers, embossing kits etc. can be fairly expensive. It was a good six months later before I actually got around to making my first cards. I bought a card making kit from Ebay for about £4.50 including the postage, which included cards, envelopes, handmade paper, stickers and die-cuts among other things.
