Logic 3 USB PC Game Pad

Advantages: Cheap & Reliable
Disadvantages: To many buttons in the middle

...I have been playing on Rugby 06 for about 2 weeks before I decided to buy a controller to play the game on. I didn't really want to spend over £15. So I decided to buy this controller because it was in the half price sale, so I managed to get it for £5. I found a problem while playing with my keyboard that I could not press more than 3 keys at once, so while you are trying to sprint, and move diagonally, it only allows you to do the last 2 buttons pressed, so it would not let you sprint, which got annoying. I found that with the controller I could press more than 3 buttons which allowed me do execute special moves. To use the controller, you just plug it into the USB on you PC, and it will work because it is plug and play. This means that you do not have to install any drivers so can start playing with it sooner than you think...

Best Gaming pad around

Advantages: Wireless

...When we bought the Sony PS3 it came with this controller. The controller itself is uses Wireless technology and does come with a charging cable which can be charged by the PS3. You can also buy a Cintroller Charging Station which you put the controllers on when not using and they will charge. The controller has Dualshock which in Game play vibrates, it does this on fighting games when shot or shot at. The controller is an offical Sony product which cost's around £35 but can be bought online for cheaper. Personally I would always but Sony controllers as they are reliable and are guaranteed to work. We have found this item a bonus as we have a 4 year old who loves running around and used to trip over the old wired controllers, now there is no wires to trip over! I would recommend this controller to all gamers as this...

Logitech Game Pad

Advantages: Good design, not too expensive, simple installation.
Disadvantages: Force feedback doesn't work properly, only average battery life.

Great value rumble pad

Advantages: inexpensive, comfortable, decent rumble effect, plenty of buttons.
Disadvantages: basic driver, lack of rumble on/off switch

...I have been a PC gamer for several years now, but I've mostly stuck to playing fps titles with the customary keyboard+mouse combo, so I've never really found it necessary to own a gamepad controller. However I recently got into an oldish driving game called Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 and having found it fun. When the Wireless controllers finally came back into stock I managed to purchase one and was extremely impressed with it. My first PC game controller

Advantages: Resembles PS controller, Confortable, Good value for money

...I enjoy playing racing games with my keyboard but I thought using a game controller would be a better option. It would make multiplayer on the same computer much easier as one player could use the controller while the other uses the keyboard. I actually tried having two player on the same keyboard but it was really bad because when you press two keys at the same time, one of the keyboard signals will get blocked out. Anyway, I chose this controller because it resembles a Playstation controller.I shopped around in Dixons and Argos to see which store had the better deal and I found out that Argos sold the exact same controller for £19.99 which was £5 less than Dixons. I bought it and plugged it into the USB port and Windows XP recognised it immediately without installing the Logitech Profiler software which lets you create...
