Rome:Total War - Total Game
Advantages: Graphics,Sound,interestin game play
Disadvantages: Not always strong enemies
...Do you remember Shogun: Total War? What about Medieval: Total War? If you had the opportunity to play both this games then you will find Rome: Total War as a fantastic continuation of the same game play. Shogun was great, Medieval added a few things that made the game play interested and now Rome has improved vastly in graphics and in the technical department and made the playing experience a really enjoyable one.
PLAYING THE GAME
The game play is separated in two areas. One, in which you can expand your empire in the world map, use of the resources of your states so to have financial and military growth and also to make allies and invade the areas of the enemies.
The other is, every time you have to battle to expand your empire or defend it, the action is moved in the battle field and you have to define your tactical mode in...

Totally Worth It?
Advantages: Impressive Scope, Great depth, Visually stunning
Disadvantages: A bit same-y, Long loading times, Occasionally wretched AI
...-free way to buy games and a decent method of piracy prevention; unlike, say, the incredibly obnoxious Tagis, as seen on titles like ?The Witcher?, which routinely prevents more paying customers from playing the game than it does pirates.
Anyway, keep in mind that any computer you want to run Empire on will have to access the Internet at least once; and that Steam's offline mode is still a bit wonky.
***OVERALL***
Empire: Total War is a massive game that safely expands on its predecessors, without taking as many risks as it ought to. There exist serious problems that, despite being present throughout the franchise, the developers are simply unwilling to tackle and that gamers seem resigned to accepting. Kinda like Football Manager having awful graphics and virtually no sound but no fan seeming to mind. So while I recommend Empire to...

TOTAL War 24/7
Advantages: Excellent addictive game
Disadvantages: Some new aditions useless
...After becoming totally adicted to this series back with the original 'Medieval Total War' (MTW), and only feeding this love with 'Rome Total War' (RTW) the run up to Christmas and this game was a frustrating time for me, although I can now say it was well worth it.
The game follows the style and standards set by the earlier games. You are given control of a faction living within the time period and the long term aim is to expand your borders and become the dominant power in the world. The methods of achieving this vary from faction to faction and player to player and this is what makes the game so interesting.
Primarily this is a War game. You expand your settlements and upgrade them with new buildings which give you access to new and more powerful units. At the same time you develop other buildings to increase trade or tax to...

Medieval 2 - Total War Review
Advantages: Immersing gameplay
Disadvantages: Not one for the casual gamer
...Medieval II: Total War is an epic game spanning the years 1080AD - 1530AD and based within Europe, The Middle East and South America and challenges you to seize control of the medieval world.
You'll probably need a relatively decent computer if you want to get the best out of the battle scenes. The graphics engine has been re-designed giving all the many thousands of people on the battlefield fantastic attention to detail, it really does look superb.
It's not all just about fighting though, you must also build and manage your kingdom, balancing the needs of your economy, military and population. This wide variety of things you must do, along with the many new options in this installment, really immerses you in the game. The cut scenes are fantastic, no expense has been spared at all, the voice acting is good and again there is...

Rome Total War
Advantages: Enjoyable campaigns and battles
Disadvantages: the backing music
...A game that very enjoyable, if not addictive! Rome Total provides you with a long time of entertainment. It has a different levels of artificial intelligence which at the hardest level provides, what I found, near impossible gameplay. Even at the easiest level the game is still relatively hard and requires a definite game plan. The graphics are very good and in my opinion provides a nice backdrop to all your battles. On the downside some of the "large stone walls" you can put around your settlement sometimes are slightly awkward when fighting battles. Generally, the sound is not to my taste and the campaign maps music is slightly irritating. The best thing about this game is that you can actually fight the battles as well as trying to capture settlements which is not always available in other games. In conclusion, a game that is well...

Total domination of the strategy genre
Advantages: Plenty of hours of fun, with plenty to do.
Disadvantages: Little bugs and glitches but that can be cured by applying patches
...impede upon my gaming experience and i applaud the great use of seige equipment and storming walls that keep the game challenging and thoroughly engaging.
Overall, Rome: Total War makes for a enjoyable gaming experience, one that will not leave you dissapointed in paying for this well thought out game. I highly recommend anyone to partake in one of the best strategy games to be unleashed upon the gaming world....

Total War : Medieval
Advantages: Can be played over and over again, endless strategy
Disadvantages: Addictive
...Medieval Total war is the second game in the Total War series from The Creative Assembly, which includes Shogun: Total War and Rome: Total War.
Medieval Total War is a turn based computer strategy game where the player builds their own empire through conquest, bribery and civil war.
The game is played across medieval Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.
Game play is both strategic and tactical, with more strategy needed on the turn based side of the game where you must build your empire on a province by province level.
The tactical side of this game involves varying military units with different capabilities fighting head to head against each other on a real time tactical map.
Battles can be played alone (in random or user-defined conditions, as part of historical scenarios, or in multiplayer), or as part of the campaign...

Rome Total War Review
Advantages: a great game, with epic 3d, realtime battles
Disadvantages: onlyt if you dont buy it
...Rome Total War takes you back to a time, where romans ruled europe, where barbarians romed the land and where the power of a man was measured by the strength of his armies.
You start off as a faction of Rome, (Julius, Brutii or Scipii) with a little land, sworn to protect Rome, SPQR. Rome Total CLASSIC!
Advantages: Great realistic battles and gameplay, many playable factions. Great Replay value
Disadvantages: Not all factions are playable
...This game has to be one of the best games of all time! Rome Total War combines both realistic style game-play battle situations in which you can personally take command of the forces available, and economic aspects.
The battle terrains can vary or be the very similar or indeed the same. However, many conditions are taken into account, for example; there is snow during winter and it can even be snowing/raining whilst you play you can even play in twilight, furthermore the weather can affect the battles, for example snow and rain impeeds the accuracy of archer units. The Battle simulation is the same used in the television program "Time Commanders", where you take command of an army and try to win on the battlefield.
All is not based entirely around you fighting army after army, if you'd rather not fight every battle you can "auto...
