...Growing up half American I was always going to love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and now being pregnant peanut butter has been one of my cravings. There are various schools of thought on peanut butter though during pregnancy. Some people say avoid it and peanuts at all costs as it could cause your unborn child to have an allergy towards peanuts once they are born. I know a young child who comes out in hives and her throat closes up if she even smells peanuts so her father has been banned from keeping them in the house!
However, my midwife recently told me that there has now been a change of thought and that peanuts are ok now. If you do eat them your unborn child may develop an immunity to them and be ok with them in later life. So, glad to hear this news as I had been craving some ever since the start but avoiding them to begin...

Jack's first Christmas was wonderful and he received far too many presents from everyone including myself. One of his presents was this Laugh and Learn Puppy that his nana bought him (my partners mum). I have since seen it for sale many places such as Argos or online at Amazon and it is pretty much the same price wherever you go and that is around the £20 mark.
To look at the puppy you will see a lovely soft toy with different coloured body parts and the names of these body parts written onto the fabric of the puppy. He sits around 30cm high if not a little more and his limbs are all soft and movable. He has large floppy blue ears one green and one purple paw, one orange and one yellow foot. The Product
I have to admit that I am addicted to peanut butter, it is something that I eat daily or I develop withdrawal symptoms. Peanut butter is one of those love it or loathe it foods and I am definitely in the love it category.
As a vegetarian, I kid myself that the calorie intake of my large consumption of peanut butter is offset by the protein content....... Well, I did say I kid myself!
I particularly enjoy my peanut butter on toast, when accompanied by a slice of cheese and an apple this makes a really delicious lunch. I also like to mix my peanut butter with jam, or jelly as they say in the USA, for breakfast toast. I read somewhere that this was the 'King's' (Elvis) favourite snack too!

The fisher price laugh and learn puppy is both fun and educational and can be the take everywhere, best friend all little babies have. its brightly coloured paws, ear, nose and tummy all have pressure pads in them and when you press them you are greeted with either a word, sound effect or song. there are 3 settings all controlled by the pad within the orange foot, you can have the abc setting for learning, the musical note setting for music and games or turn it off.
The interactive features teach early academics, familiarising babies with words and colours. they will quickly learn when they are pressing the puppys foot and how it relates to their own body parts, they will also learn that the colour green is called green, yellow...

...Things have changed a great deal since I got my first puppy many years ago and it would seem, if you go round the shops, that the days of training puppies using newspaper spread everywhere are long gone. You can now buy 'Puppy Training Pads' to use instead.
So, with a brand new puppy due to arrive I bought myself a pack of 30 pads (price £9.99) so that we could try out the 'modern' way.
What are they?
Very simply they are sheets of absorbent material with a plastic backing sheet which are allegedly treated with something to make them attractive to the puppy when it wants to toilet. The idea is that you can train the puppy to use these and gradually get it used to going to a particular place.
You place the pad (plastic side down) on the floor and put the puppy on it and then it should use that area when it feels...
Advantages: Cheap, no artificial additives, makes good peanut butter candy [RECIPE INCLUDED!]. Disadvantages: Only 87% roasted peanut (3% < USA standard minimum), slightly oily, peanut pieces a bit large

Prices of Peanut Butter are currently a lot more expensive than they were when I first wrote this review, but this Value Peanut Butter still offers good value for money.

...I used to have dogs years ago but it is some time since I had a new puppy in the house so with the arrival of a tiny puppy a couple of months ago I needed to make sure I had the right food to give him a good start in life.
The breeder had been feeding him on Baker's puppy food which is easily available in supermarkets and pet shops so I got a bag of that in to make sure I wasn't making big changes to his diet as soon as he left his mum but I did resolve to change him to something better. The day after I got him home I took him down to the vet for his first injections and a check up and whilst I was there I was given a 'puppy pack' with a free sample of Hill's Science Plan Puppy Food.

...I got a puppy a few months ago and since he completed his inoculations we have been going to Puppy Training Class. It is a great place to get him socialised and he is learning some manners as well. The trainer works on the basis of 'reward' based training which suits Ellery just fine as he is pretty well motivated by food but it does mean that I have to find suitable treats to take along each week to keep his interest.
He is quite a small puppy which means I have to find treats compatible with his size, firstly because I don't want him to get fat, and secondly because if they are too big he spends too long chewing them and isn't ready to move on the next exercise.
Now I know a lot of people use something like diced cheese or sausage but as I don't eat either myself we don't have them in the house. Plus the only time little...
